Part 26
"Geet!"Maan screamed as he saw her holding her head in her hand as if she wanted to take the pain away.
"Ahh!!"she screamed as the images of her past popped up again.
The nurses were trying their level best to calm her down.
Maan ran towards her and took her in his arms.
"Maan..Gurvinder,.please bacho nah maan!"she said between sobs.
"sshhh...geet I am here na..tumhe kuch nahi hoga..trust me!"Maan said as he cradled her in his embrace.
He could feel that she was relaxing.He made her lie down and was about to stand up when she held him.
"Don't leave me Maan.Please!"she whispered in her sub conscious state.
That was enough for Maan to break down.He lied next to her and she cuddled closer to him..He patted her to sleep and unknowingly fell asleep too.
Dr.Anushka saw this through the class door and a content smile crept over her lips.
"Finally,Maan has found someone!"she thought as she left from there.

The next morning,maan woke up and his eyes fell on Geet who was cuddled closer to him now.He loved the feeling of having her in his arms.
He did not care if Geet loved the man she mentioned in the tape still.All he cared about was her and him and he was determined to make her fall for him.
He caressed her hair and whispered,"Geet"
She stirred in her sleep and said sleepily,"Sone deejiye na Maan..It feels so warm in here"
"Acha ji!The whole night my arms ached because you put your whole weight on me and now you are telling me that it is warm in here!kaisi biwi ho tum!"Maan teased her.
She abruptly sat up straight and her head hurted again.
"Ah!"she winced as she held her head in her arms.Maan panicked as he slowly blew the place where she had hit the stone.
Geet rested her head on his shoulder and said,"It's hurting too much."
Maan did not know what to say.He was heart broken.What a fool he was!
He had trusted her and had allowed her to ride alone!
If he had been with her,this would not have happened.
He kissed the side of her head where she was hurt and asked,"How about now?"
"Much better!"Geet said smilingly.
Maan knew that it was hurting her too much.he could just see right through her eyes!They were filled with pain.
Maan and Geet sat in the same position for a while until Dr.Anushka entered inside.
"Good Morning!"she wished them cheerfully to which Maan and Geet nodded their heads.
"Geet,we will have to change the dressing and Maan i want to speak to you about her medicines and treatment.Shall we leave?"
Maan nodded as he placed a kiss on her forehead and followed Anushka.

Maan sat facing Anushka.Anushka gave him Geet's audio tape and said,"keep this with you..It may be useful!"
Maan got the tape and threw it in the dustbin.
"Beta,ye tumne kya kar diya?"the doctor asked worried.
Maan smiled and said,"Her past doesn't matter to me anymore,auntie.I fell in love with her without knowing her past and I am sure that I will be able to love her even after knowing the past.."
The doctor looked at him with pride and then said,"Maan,you can take home Geet today night.Because i feel that if you are with her,she may overcome this trauma."
"I will give you sleeping pills..Make her eat them.She.."
Maan cut off in the middle saying,"No auntie,she will learn to sleep without the sleeping pills"
"But..It would be a torture Maan!"
"I don't care auntie.She will sleep without the sleeping pills.I will make her too."
The doctor smiled at him and said,"Yaad rakhna..If you want to see her fully recovered,there can be only one medicine for that-LOVE!"
Maa smiled as he suddenly felt a thousand butterflies dancing in his stomach.He smiled and shook hands with the doctor and went to see Geet.

Maan was about to enter her room when he saw Annie and Vicky talking to geet.He decided to leave giving them some time in private when he heard Annie say,"You know bhabi..I have applied for the law degree at Ambedkar law institute!"
"What?You and Law?!Poor clients!Don't know how many of them are going to die explaining the case to you!"Vicky joked as he shared a high five with Geet.
Annie scowled and was about to reply when Geet said,"Vicky,what about 'that girl'?"
Vicky turned deep red as he said,"What girl bhabi?I don't know.."
"Haye haye!"Annie said as maan fumed.
"Vicky and a girl?"
"why didn't anyone tell me!"
"Ahh!!"
He walked inside to meet the eyes of Vicky and Annie.
Vicky stood up to leave when Maan stopped him saying,"I am a part of family too.I am not an outsider!"
Those words pricked Vicky's heart like needles.He did not know what to say!
Maan sat beside Geet's bed on a steel stool and held her hand,"Geet didn't you think you should have told me about your nightmares and the sleeping pills?"
Geet's eyes clouded with tears as she said,"I''I thought that you'd hate me more!"
Maan shook his head and said,"I can never hate you Geet.Never,ever."
"Ahem"Vicky cleared his throat as he excused himself and pulled Annie out of the room leaving Maan and Geet to speak their heart out.
Maan held her delicate hand in his and said,"Why did you think so?"
His voice was so soft that only Geet could hear it.
It was giving her goosebumps.
"Get a hold Geet!"she said to herself.
"I..I thought that ..I..will be a burden to you especially because you will be very busy at work"she confessed honestly.
Maan's eyes clogged with tears.
Did she ever exist?
He did not say anything but slowly leaned towards her to kiss her.
He looked at Geet whose face had turned crimson.She closed her eyes in submission and that was enough for Maan to seal her lips with his.
