I am glad u liked the update :) not many people seem to be liking this ff. I didnt recieve many comments on this one. :)
Anyway, just the prologue is up...so it takes time for people to recognize this work.
Yeah, it is just a silly dialogue but I really thought I had to come up with something more interesting. So thought of not updating this FF until march end. Cant sabotage a lovely work in my tension. My head wont function properly unless I am done with the burden. So till then u wont mind managing my account, right? I know you will hit me for this 😆
Did u read Veronika decides to die...I had asked u to. If you are free then read that book, I will join u in the novel reading session once I am done 😊

Yeah but it will reach heights...I can feel that. Dont get depressed that not many people are liking it. They will definitely start liking it the moment you post that imaginary article you mailed me! IT IS FABULOUS! Such simple language, yet great in describing the MSK.
I know what you are going through right now :) I will call you and we can speak about that. This isnt a right place. I just hate sending private msgs in this IF. It sucks! Damn!
I will definitely manage your account...no problem at all. I am reading that book right now. It is really cool! Come asap to have more fun! missing u so much already!

Okay, this is an imaginary article of mine in The American Times. I wanted to write more about WHAT Maan Singh Khurana is before I start the actual plot of The Sunshine. I hope you guys like it. It is a work of fiction. Please do comment and like

The phenomenon: Maan Singh Khurana

John Kendell
21 January, 2012
Maan Singh Khurana: the name is enough to make anyone shiver. An individual standing out among others, making his presence more and more distinct with each passing second. The first thing you notice about him is his charismatic eyes, which are capable of making anyone go completely mute with its gaze. His speech never falters, his confidence never wavers. The brilliance in his eyes never fades. He has a very unique and beautiful personality. He is a paradox himself. He is commanding yet he is soft. He is fierce yet he is gentle. He is aggressive yet he is peaceful. He is matured and sophisticated yet he has a childlike innocence. This amazing man is an ocean of knowledge. There is nothing that is unknown to him. He is like a mirror. Speaking to him, you will realize what YOU are.

Biographical note: (His life until now)

Born on 22 of April, 1986, Maan Singh Khurana is the only son of his parents, Rajdeep Singh Khurana and Ratan Singh Khurana (Handa) who belonged to a rich landlord family of the Khuranas in Delhi. Albeit being from a rich and caring family, his childhood has not been very memorable for him, he recalls sadly. After the demise of his parents, Maan was left to endure the cruelest days of his life, whilst he stayed in the care rather in command of his maternal uncle Rajashekhar Handa (name changed). Maan, being his nephew did not bother in the slightest to Rajashekhar, who treated him nothing more than a mere servant in his home. After 8 years of this painful torture, Maan escaped the hell hole with the help of an angel, as he names her, Geet Handa, the daughter of Rajashekhar Handa. Geet entered his life as a streak of lightening and helped him to overcome his psychological disorder and made him capable of ruling the business world. She made him an individual that he is today, says Maan. He is deeply in gratitude to his little friend and wish to see her soon enough and to thank her for the outstanding support she has given him and guiding him through the roughest phase of his life and making him independent and powerful to conquer the world.
After topping the scholarship exam of a private college, Maan took his education to the next level. He took up all the possible and available courses through scholarships and funded his life and education by working part time jobs in cafes and restaurants. He attended evening MBA classes and joined a near shutting down corporate office. He used his intelligence to guide the manager of the company to overcome the losses and made the company to sky rocket again. He took over the whole responsibility of that company after its Managing Director, Mr. Steve Rawdel expired. Steve was unmarried and he was the only son of his parents, so the company didn't have an heir. But Steve handed the responsibilities to Maan, whom he knew to be extremely capable of handling his office. After taking over the company, Maan established himself as a very powerful business entrepreneur and laid the foundation of KHURANA GROUP OF INDUSTRIES. Today, KGI is a top sector business enterprise across the globe and all the credits goes to the one and only Maan Singh Khurana, fondly known as MK by his business partners and well wishers.
He has also founded various health institutions and medical centers for cancer and leprosy patients. There are many orphanages and old age homes which has become the reason for happiness for the people who live there. Under the KGI banner, he has started an education foundation: Geet Foundation and is helping many children to live their dream of being educated. He is one hell of a man is all we can say.

Here is a small interview of Maan Singh Khurana, interviewed by The American Times' chief editor, John Kendell.

Okay Mr. Khurana, every one of our readers wants to know the meaning of your name. Let us start the interview with a peek into the meaning of your beautiful name.
(Smiles) Maan means pride, glory, respect, prestige, honour as I was told by the person who named me. I never bothered to look up the meaning myself because I know she can never be wrong.
Okay, we really have to tell that your mother has a great taste in names. We really like the name she has given you.
(Smiles) To be honest, this name wasn't given by my mother. I precisely don't know what she had named me. This name was given to me by my closest friend and savior angel, Geet.
That's a surprise. How come she named you?
That question cannot be answered. (Smiles) I am afraid, that is a little too personal. But the fact remains that it was Geet who named me Maan.
Very well, Sir. No problem at all. How was your schooling and your education? Which schools or colleges did you attend before you took up the scholarship exam for coming to Washington D C to continue your further studies?
Well, I was home schooled. I didn't attend any schools as a matter of fact. I was educated from the scratch by Geet.
Geet? She is your teacher?
Yes! She is my teacher. She taught me everything right from the alphabets and in 7 years, she made me as educated as how others of my age would be.
You life is very interesting, Sir. Can you please tell us more about your friend Geet?
Geet! (Sighs) She is an angel of my life. A ray of light which penetrated into the dark walls of my life and helped me to make myself strong. If I am The Maan Singh Khurana today, then it is because of her, her support, and her confidence in me. She is my back bone. People tell, behind every successful man there is always a woman. That is apt for my life. I don't hesitate to accept that. It is Geet who designed my life. If it was not for her then probably I would have been held captive in those dungeons of darkness. She changed the course of my life. One request please: this is all I can say about my personal life. I don't want delve into my past again.
Definitely Sir, your wish is our command (laughs). Maan smiles at the remark.
According to you, what is life?
Life has innumerable definitions. It is a teacher, it teaches you. It is a battle, it has to be won. It is a gift, it has to be accepted. It is an honour, it has to be respected. It is a game, it has to be played. It is a fear, it has to be overcome. It is a challenge, it has to be faced. Life defines world, it defines universe, and it defines everything.
What is god?
Faith.
The religion you follow?
There is only one religion: humanity.
What is necessary to lead a happy and contented life?
Optimism and positive approach.
Your success mantra?
Will power and determination.
What keeps you going?
A promise.
What is your biggest strength?
Geet.
Your biggest weakness?
I don't have one because Geet hasn't taught me to be weak. But, probably, I wouldn't be able to tolerate if something happens to her, so another definition of my weakness is again Geet.
I am sorry; this is a very personal question. What does Geet mean to you?
Everything.
Again a personal question, what is the relation you share with Geet? Is it friendship or love?
I share a relation that is something beyond than just friendship and love with Geet. It is something really pure and sacred and it is something that I respect and worship.
Your idol?
Geet. (Smiles)
Your favorite philosophy and your favorite philosopher?
I have many. My favorites are those which helped me shape myself. But my favorite philosopher is Socrates.
Your favorite saying?
Vasudhaiva kutumbakam (entire earth is a family). It is a Sanskrit proverb.
A man's best friend?
His wisdom
His worst enemy?
His own mind when uncontrolled.
Very well. This is my question. How can people change themselves?
To change oneself, we first have to change the way we perceive things. For example, hope, less and end are the words that go hand in hand. The only thing that matters is how we look at it. Do we see it as hopeless end or an endless hope? Perception is the key to change the life. Start looking things in a different way; you will be able to change your life for better.
Are you a workaholic? This is a question asked by one of your fans.
I am extremely passionate towards my work. I think that answers yours as well as their question.
Your favorite form of art?
All the forms of art are something I adore. Among them, my favorite is dance. In particular, ballet.
Why ballet in particular?
It is a very beautiful form of art, though I don't deny that rest are beautiful. It is the first form of dance I actually saw and it is the dance that made me realize what a dance is.
Let me guess. Is Geet a ballet dancer?
Yes, she is very fond of ballet. (Smiles)
What should be never ending in life?
Your love and passion to learn more and more things. Seek more knowledge and wisdom.
Now, let us move on to your accomplishments in the field of business. You have been termed as a phenomenon. How do you feel about being called as such?
Honestly, I don't deserve that title. The things I have done cannot be really termed as accomplishments. Accomplishment is far greater than achievement. I have achieved something in my life but not in the level of accomplishing something.
People call your health institutions as a Universe of Love. What do you have to say about that?
I agree with them. (Smiles) Love really can heal anything in this world. Love, affection and care are of utmost importance in my life as I have experienced it myself. It works wonders. I really am proud that my small contribution has made such a huge difference in the lives of the people. I am really glad.
You are a god-father to those countless orphans who have found a home in your orphanage. Well, I call it as your accomplishment. Those children really adore and respect you. What made you support them to such an extent?
Don't call them orphans as they have their god-father to look after them. I am an orphan but I refrain from calling myself as one because I see my parents in god. And moreover, I have my biggest support after my parents. They are there with me forever so there is no question of me being an orphan. I can see myself in those innocent eyes of the children in my Happy Home. The reason I help them is because they need a small force to establish themselves as powerful individuals and I am just acting as that force as it is not available for them in any other form. If it was available then those kids would have never come to me. It is not just a mere help, I see it as my duty. As a means to fulfill my promise. Those kids are an integral part of my life. I will do whatever I can to make them self dependent and strong.
In a recent tabloid, we read that you had employed a crippled person for a prestigious position in your office. Many people who had appeared for that interview are not satisfied with the choice you made. What prompted you to hire him?
I see nothing wrong in employing a crippled person. He is as capable as the others who appeared for the interview. In fact, he was more capable than the rest of them. So what if he is handicapped? He has an intelligence worth to be praised. That, I didn't see in the others. He treats his work as his passion, not just a means to earn lots of money. That caught my attention and I gave him the job. He is actually a deserving person for that job. Never judge a person by his physical disabilities. There is nothing wrong in being crippled. It is just their fate that has made them like that. You should respect that those individuals have a lot more integrity than us. They never let their self esteem diminish. But being mentally crippled is a big problem. I am not referring to the mental illness. I am referring to the narrow mindedness and the self centered character of the people. I feel disgusted when I see such people who judge others by their physical appearance rather by their intellect. People should never be so biased and prejudiced. If the one who helped me would have been so biased then this world wouldn't have seen a Maan Singh Khurana today. That is all I can say!
We have come to the end of this interview, one last question. We know you are not superstitious. Do you believe in destiny?
Destiny, yes I believe in it. But I also believe that destiny gives us a chance to make our decisions. That should be utilized to the maximum. If you make a mistake, don't crib but learn from it and don't repeat it again. That is the key to write your own destiny.
Have you ever experienced near death like experiences? Sorry for the crude question.
Yes, 8 years of my life was filled with near death experiences. I never thought I would live.
Do you believe in life after death?
As Baba Amte said, I believe in leading a series of lives in this life itself.
I am honored to have interviewed you Sir, is there anyone to whom you wish to dedicate this interview to?
I will dedicate this interview to the only person who made me capable of giving an interview in the first place, Geet.
John Kendell looked at the edition with a smile. He was happy that the interview had come out well but felt a little stupid because he asked random questions. He did not ask what he had intended to. Anyway, this interview is something to be cherished...he convinced himself and asked his assistants to carry on with printing the rest of the papers that had to be circulated that day.
PS: How was it?? waiting for your reply 😊
