Khushi enters the Raizada mansion...HP opens the door with a smile and she gives a big broad smile very happy that she is going to see her jiji after one week...or was it only that she wonders in her mind...isnt her heart beating fast to get a glimpse of Arnav...one week...long time since she missed those chocolate brown intense eyes and the effect that it has on her whenever they look at her...All this going on in her mind she walks through the longue when she hears someone talking in a loud voice...it takes a min for her to understand that it was mami who was shouting and that on the receiving end was her jiji...she stands still to hear to the conversation...
Mami: Why is this happening to me...why do I need such a daughter in law who is stupid and without a class...oh god... Payal: Par...you only told me to do this... Mami: DONT TALK...dont u dare talk to me like that...i accepted this stupid marriage for my son's sake and becoz i did not have any choice...but that doesn't mean that i have to put up with everything that u do here...Payal: I am really sorry ma...but i didnt do anything knowingly...
Mami: Chup...I've had enough of u...now get out of my room and dont u dare show your filthy face to me for the rest of the day..let me relax...
Payal moves out of the room with tears in her eyes...she doesnt see her sis standing there hearing and watching all this...as she crosses the longue she looks up to find her sister with her eyes wide filled with tears...
Khushi did not expect to see her jiji after so long with tears...all her imaginations came crashing down and she ran and hugged her jiji...They both console each other and Payal takes Khushi to her room...they sit down...
Khushi: What happened jiji why was mamiji shouting at you?
Payal: no..it was nothing...just that she was a bit tensed from morning and I did something to tirgger that off...(she tries to evade the topic)...so u tell me..how is amma, babuji, buaji...and how r u? all enjyoing wihtout me?
Khushi: jiji dont try to change topics, I am more good at that than u...unless u ans my question I will not ans anything that u ask...
Payal: Nothing Khushi just that she wanted me to apply the face pack on her face, but by mistake I spilt it on her saree and that stain wont go...so she got a bit tensed...
Khushi: Buss...for this she was shouting so much to u...wait..let me go and ask her...(Khushi gets up)
Payal: Khushi stop...this is not our house...she is my mother in law...and the mistake was mine anyways...so leave it...
Khushi sits back but half heartedly...something suddenly crops up in her mind and she turns to her jiji...
Khushi: Jiji...give me your hand...give it...keep it on my head...now repeat what i tell..
Payal: Khushi...
Khushi: No jiji serious...repeat...whatever I say now is true and I am not hiding anything, i promise on you...
P initially takes her hand back..but does so under compulsion..
K: Now tell me...how is ur life for the past week..r u happy with jijaji?
P: Yes I am...of course.
K: U have promised on me..so i take it that u r not lying or hiding anything...
Tears start falling down on payal's cheeks...khushi gets jittery...
K: what happ jiji please tell me or i swear i will go straight to mamiji and ask what is the matter...so better u tell me...
after a long silence payal tells...
P: I dont know khushi...ma doesnt like me at all...she is so unhappy with this wedding...her expectations were too high and she is so very disappointed...
K: why what happened...tell me jiji...my head will burst...
P: Promise me first that u wont tell this to anyone at our house...promise...
Khushi does so...
P: Khushi..Akash ji is very nice...he is such a nice person and I am grateful to god for giving me such a husband...but...(tears keep flowing)...on the first day of our marriage...ma called me to her room and she gave me a big lecture about my status when compared to hers and all her justifications for not wanting this marriage etc...and finally she told me to promise that until she gets out of her frustration and until her mind calms down about accepting me etc...that I will stay away from Akashji..and that no one in this house should know about this...she made me to promise in the name of AKash ji...(and she broke down crying)
K: What...she was stunned to hear and grasp what her jiji just said...
By then she heard Anajli calling "Payal where are you"...both sisters hastily wiped their tears and tried to put a smile on their faces...Payal urgently whispered to Khush "remember the promise that you have made to me..." Anjali comes in and is delighted to see Khushi...
A: Khushi ji aap...when did you come...(with a false anger)...see as soon as you came you sat with your jiji u forgot about all of us...
K: No..no anjali ji its just that...
A: I was just joking I understand...i know how much u would've missed ur sister...I know the feeling..I can't be one full day without seeing chote...and nor can he...so I know...
At the mention of Arnav, Khushi's mind started wondering where he was...All the three of them walked out of the room to the dining hall...as they were descending the steps anjali and payal were talking about luch preperations and Khushi's mind was fully engrossed into what her sis had told her...she was walking lost (as usual)...when suddenly Arnav came out of his room and was walking down the stairs...
A: Are chote...see how has come.. khushiji..after a long time isnt it...
Arnav was shocked to see Khushi...and so was she...his eyes didnt move from her ..he didnt expect to see her today...only after seeing her he realised how much he has missed her during the past week..she hasnt changed...only she was looking more beautiful now...God! how he longed to see those wide big eyes and that one strand of hair falling on her forehead and how she stammers when their eyes get locked and how tough she finds it to move away from his gaze...as tough as he finds himself to tear his eyes away from her...
A: and u know what...she forgot all of us...as soon as she came she went to her jiji and i knew about her coming only when i went to payal's room, otherwise i think she would;ve left even wihtout telling us...she has forgotten us all so soon...
Khushi tried replying something but she couldnt concentrate on construction her speech when Arnav was looking at her...
Arnav: yeah..she has forgotten us...but only i am not able to...
his speech was so feeble that only khushi was able to make out what he said...anjali thought he was mumbling something as usual and anjali and payal retracted to their topic...arnav was still watching khushi and as they both walked down khushi missed a step and was about to be thrown away in the steps but before any such thing could happen..arnav came to her rescue and caught her...she was again in his arms..where she wanted to be always...where she felt safe and cozy...their eyes locked and without taking his eyes off her and without releasing her arnav even without his knowledge asked the question...
Arnav: Why didnt you come for so long?...
