Here is what really worked for me in the story so far:
the fact that ASR is being unemotional, and not having a fit racing here and there foaming at the mouth, in spite of extreme provocation, and deep emotions. For me the fact that he is all clipped words and physical action makes him compelling much more than ifg he was basically a loudmouth. I would buy him half killing Shyam without even saying anything to the would be rapist because the total lack of words is more powerful than him going "Kutte Kaminay mien teri khoon pee jaowoonga", you know?
You alwasy mantain this, and I love love love reading anything you write. I really believe that the correct portrayal of ASR even in a rage is a kind of concentrated ferocity, just action, no words, and later on, just his coldness, as opposed to ranting and grabbing people and screaming his emotions out.
A lot of Fan Fics (great though they are in their own ways) mess this up, which you never do. I love reading your works because while you stick to "canon" you explore alternate possibilities, alternate decision trees where we get to see what ELSE could have happened without necessarily leaving behind the six months of character development and personality quirks we have all come to expect from these people.
