Chapter 5:

As Aakash left the guest house, Arnav went towards Khushi and held out his hand… as if to apologise for the brash manner of his marriage proposal a few minutes back..

Khushi hesitated.. and then gave him her hand… they looked at each other… the world stood still… nothing else mattered…

With that simple gesture, Arnav had conveyed a thousand words that only Khushi understood… This was his way of asking her to marry him, this was his simple way of telling her, if she accepted him, he would be there for her… It was to give her the confidence that you are not alone… Im sorry if your family is not here, but I AM and will ALWAYS BE…if you will have me..

They walked out of the guest house hand in hand towards the mandir..

As they reached the Devi Mayya's moorti where Aakash was waiting with the panditji… Khushi started thinking…."Why did Arnavji want to get married in the temple… he doesn't believe in God…" Then it struck her…Arnav knew that he could not bring his family here without raising a few eyebrows in their neighbourhood…So, he had done the next best thing..ensured that Khushi's Devi Mayya attended their wedding.

Khushi turned to look at Arnav as this realization dawned upon her. Arnav looked at her and said.."Kya hua, Khushi… Are you ok?"

"Wo…aap.. Devi Mayya…" Khushi whispered…

"Shhhsshhh… Kyunki tujhe farak padta hai, Khushi"
