Okay first thing i want to point out, Riddhima's POV. I liked it, alot. Knowing how she felt but also knowing at the same time, the other characters emotions too, especially Armaan's. Riddhima is a really confused girl, i don't blame her i would be too if i was in her state, the guy forced her in marriage. No girl would have a full on soft side for him, but she is gradually starting to forget it, thinking about other things than that. When she talks or looks at Armaan, yes the bicker, but it doesn't mention her remembering the 'first night' incident, showing she probably forgot it but just specific things remind her of it. Riddhima looking past it is a good sign, it shows how strong her character is in the story, some girls are jsut stubborn and childish but she thinks of others before her issues, i like that about her :)
His parents. How come i never realised they were not there? :/ I guess i'm slow as Riddhima LOL! I love Bi, she is really sweet and honest. She doesn't break Armaans trust by not telling Riddhima about his past but at the samee doesnt hurt her. She is a mother figure to the Malliks, they are very lucky to have her. I noticed how Armaan doesnt trust women yet he trusted Bi, i know she is like a grandmother to them, but still she is female. She could easily have used them for money, but she didn't and they didn't know that yet but they still let her in to their lives. It shows that Armaan doesn't hate all women, just ones that SHOW they are a bad sign.
Armaan's past was sad one. The boys have been through a lot, so has he. They have been through heartbreaks, pain, torture, struggle but they made it together, their relationship is strong. Armaan is the perfect brotherly figure, he has done so much for his brothers and i am proud of him for that. I feel sorry that he has been through the same torture as his brothers but the only difference is he was strong for them and never cried in front of them, he didn't want to show his weakness yet at the same time he was. His weakness was love, he didnt want to show it, but by not howing it he was basically telling them what his weakness was.
To be honest, i frrankly don't think the reason behind the past is a good one for the way Armaan behaved. I mean yes i understand, he got betrayed by a girl, but it didn't mean he should use her and throw her away. Not all girls are like that, i'm sure he knew that too because he never did it with Riddhima, but why couldn't he just ignore them? It would've been less painful for everyone. And if he were doing it as to punish them for being so disgusting (for sleeping with him) well, that's selfish in my opinion. He is doing it to make himself feel better not caring what problems it inflicts on others. He should've just stayed away from them.
Okay the paragraph above was the way he dealed with women, now it's how he deals with the pain :P When i read how he was drunk, i felt like crying for him. People do say drinking numbs the pain, and it does in some ways. You can cry without it hurting, but it doesn't help. Sometimes you NEED to feel the pain for it to help, so it can let you move on, keeping the pain inside is dangerous emotionally and mentally. His innocence has me in awe, i hate seeing him like this. He is really innocent in the inside, i wish he showed it before, he maybe could've been happier or atleast less in pain.
I loved the way Riddhima answered his question 'pata nahin', sensible answer. It not a lie yet it doesn't hurt his feelings, it shows she is starting to develop those feelings or she wouldve just said no.
P.S. Armaan is sooo cute!
