They both parted from the kiss at the same time. They didn't know what to say or do. Kripa was waiting for Angad to say something and Angad was waiting for Kripa to say something too. In this confusion no one spoke.
Kripa got shivers on her arms from the water, Angad saw this. He got out of the water and picked up his dry jacket from the grass. Kripa also got out. He put the jacked over her so she would no longer be cold.
K- ...Thanks
A-...Oh..no problem
K- We should go inside now
A- Yeah.....lets go
They both went inside forgetting they were soaked wet. When they went inside everyone looked over towards them. Angad and Kripa soon realized they were wet, they just looked innocently at the party.
Naina came towards them
N- Is everything alright, why are you guys wet?
A- Actually what happened was............a hurricane
N- A hurricane? In the middle of India?
K- What Angad means is it was raining so bad it felt like a hurricane outside
N- Oh okay, but it was raining?
A- Yeah, you guys didn't hear it?
N- No
A- Probably cause of the music
N- Oh...ok, well u get dry before u two go change your clothes and dry up before you catch a cold
A- Yeah, your right
N- Kripa you can change into one of Priya's clothes
K- Priya?
N- Yes, my daughter, one second.....Priya!
Naina called out to Priya and Priya came
P- Yeah mom
N- This is Kripa, give her something to wear
P- Hi Kripa!

P- Come on follow me
Kripa and Angad both went upstairs. Angad changed into another suit and Kripa changed into one of Priya's salwar kameezs.
They both came downstairs. Priya was talking to them.
P- Why r u two so quiet?
Angad and Kripa still felt akward about the kiss
P- Okay so Kripa, tell me how long do u know Angad?
K- Oh...um not long.....just like two weeks
P- That's cool
K- Do you go to our college too?
P- Yeah, it's strange Angad never introduced us

A- Well I didn't want to find out what happens when 2 idiots meet
Kripa and Priya both started hitting Angad's arms, then Josh and Rahul came to his rescue
J- Hey whats going on here, why r u guys hitting Angad?

Right then Vivek came over to them.
V- Kripa, we should get going now

V- Well thanks for inviting us Angad
A- No problem, u guys should stay longer
V- We would, but I still have some pending work to finish up at home

Kripa wished Naina and Dilip a happy anniversary once again and left with her dad to home.
That night both Angad and Kripa felt wierd. They couldn't believe they kissed each other. It wasn't that they didn't find the other attractive, but they were concerned if this kiss would change their friendship or have any effects on it or not.
The next day at school:
Angad and Kripa were both trying to stay away each other, neither wanted to talk about the kiss. Kripa was with Maya when they heard an announcement over the intercom.
ANNOUNCEMENT: THE SPRING FLING DANCE IS COMING UP, BUT THIS TIME WE'RE GOING TO BE DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT, THIS TIME THE GIRLS WILL ASK THE GUYS TO THE DANCE! IT WILL BE THIS FRIDAY, SO GOOD LUCK TO THE GIRLS!!! WE HOPE EVERYONE COMES!
Maya- Oh wow, who are you going to ask Kripa
The first person that came to thought in Kripa's mind was Angad, but she wasn't sure if he wanted to go with her.

Kripa was putting books away in her locker when she heard voices. It was Angad Josh and Rahul by a some lockers near Kripa's.
They were talking loud so Kripa could here everything
J- So has anyone asked you to the Spring Fling yet Angad
A- No, but I wonder who will
R- Well all girls would want to go with you
A- True, I mean I am Angad Khaana, who wouldn't want to go with me?
J- Yep, your right
A- Yeah so I'm just going to say yes to the 1st girl that asks me
J- Then that girl better come quick!!!
They glanced towards Kripa to see her reaction. Kripa didn't know what to do. She thought since Angad would say yes to the first girl that would ask him, then he didn't care if he went with Kripa or not. Kripa was hurt. Then she heard a different voice, It was of Mishty
M- Hey Angad!!!
A-thinking- Why did she have to come now?
Mishty- Hey Angad, do you want to go to the Spring Fling with me???
Angad looked over at Kripa, who was looking straight at him. Kripa was mad. She was so mad that she grabbed the first guy who was passing in front of her towards her. she didn't see the guy's face because she was still looking at Angad, but she started talking to him
K- Hey my names Kripa, do you want to go to the Spring Fling with me?
Angad, Josh, Rahul, and Mishty's mouth dropped open.
Guy- OMG!!! Me go with you?? I'd love to
Kripa looked over at the guy. She was stunned. Her mouth dropped open too. He was a skinney, weak, nerdy looking guy. Kripa swallowed hard.
Guy- My names Gaurav
K-.....oh....hey Gaurav
G- Wow, I never thought a hot girl like you would ever notice me. Wait tell I tell all my friends in chess club about this!

Kripa was eating lunch with Maya when Angad, Rahul, and Josh sat with her.

J- Yeah Gaurav to the dance
K-madly- Maybe I did
A- Why?
K- Why is there anythign wrong with him?
A- Not anything....everything
K- That's mean! He maybe nerdy but he's kind and sensitive. Something you 3 need desperately.
J- Hey I'm a good guy
R- Me too, Im caring and......um......whats that word people use to describe good guys
K- Kind?
R- Yeah thats it
K- Whaever
A- Well hats off to you Kripa, you have great taste!
Maya and everyone started chuckling
K- Whatever, at least Im not going with Mishty
A- Well Mishty is ten times better than Gaurav

G- My dad can give us a ride to the dance too, but he says I have to be home at 10

Josh- So Gaurav your bed times at ten?
Gaurav- No, usually its at 8, but this time my dad let me stay out a little more, wasnt that nice of him?

Gaurav- I know.....oh yeah, since this is my first date my mom wants to meet and approve you
K- Approve me? But its only a dance
Gaurav- I know but its just a formality, shes just going to check if your not a druggy or anything

A- Well, Gaurav theres a math club meeting right now, shouldn't you be going there?

After he left everyone started laughing uncontrollably.
