People here is a promised long and early update.

PART 10

"Khushi, talk to me Dammit! Say something. React. Khushi... Please"
Arnav screamt and pleaded into the house phone wanting nothing more than to hear her voice. But she didn't reply. It had been so long since he had last seen her, heard her voice, every cell in his body ached for her. It had been 3 months and 5 days to be exact since his world had spun off its axis. No words could explain how lonely he was currently. 'Alone' maybe was perfect, short but mocking his life.
His destiny seemed like his name personified, Arnav - the sea, always turbulent, vast and empty.

"Jiji" her frail and weak voice rang through the handset.
The voice was living proof of his mistakes - one to many. He had not just failed as a lover, a brother but also as a protector. The frail voice of the once boisterous and loud Khushi hurt him physically and as had become a habit of late, he flung the phone and it crashed into the wardrobe breaking. His anger was directed at himself and inflicted upon inanimate objects.

His life had tumbled down like a castle of cards because of his error in judgement. Maybe no one held it against him, but it was still true, it resonated in the silence of the house.

"ASR!!" La's shocked voice reached him as he fell dropped onto the bed resigned. La's eyes moved from the broken phone on the floor to the broken ASR on the bed, sympathy in her eyes.
His life was a carefully carved mirage, an oasis of beauty and grandeur for someone peeping into the house. But, it was as much a desert as the rest of the world.

"ASR, we need to talk." La's voice tried to gain his attention.
"Please don't hold yourself responsible. Give her some time. She needs to heal. Don't push her, she is to hurt to feel.

Also, please be happy, atleast for the wedding, for me!!!"
Nothing, he gave no reaction at all. It was like he had not even heard her.

"ASR, please, Di will be unhappy to see you like this. "
Nothing, he did not even look up. The only reaction at the mention of his sister was his body going rigid. Their relation had been strained since the past 3 months but she also knew he was protective of his sister.

"Thank You"
He looked up finally to meet her eyes, confused.
"The honeymoon package ASR. It is just perfect. I am happy to have left that option to you."
He just nodded and pulled his laptop trying to complete all the pending work. La kissed him on the cheek and left assuming his actions yo be her dismissal.

He stared at her retreating figure a long time after she was gone. He was supposed to be the one expressing gratitude, not just once but for the rest of his life but he had failed even on this account. La had stood by him and picked him up when he had collapsed, nursed his sister, held his family together and become a part of his family. She had unquestioned faith in him even now, she had gone out of her way to help her as well aware of his love towards Khushi. The wedding and the honeymoon was a small token of his appreciation.

"Chote, I need to tell you something. I have made a decision."

He just nodded and resumed his work on the laptop indicating that he was listening. He could not raise his eyes to meet his sisters' ashamed of her behavior and afraid to voice his feelings lest he hurt her. Her behavior was and still remained inexcusable. That day she had proved to be a Raizada, his sister and till today she failed to owe up to her mistakes.

Her reaction to the whole fiasco 3 moths ago had left everyone stunned, shocked. She was hurt but the venom she spilled had left him speechless. Her words had altered his life for the worse, removed the part of his life without which it was impossible to breathe. He never let his sister know about it though, however he distanced himself from her. He could not leave her but he hardly spoke with her, living in the periphery of her life, just making sure she was fine.

"I am joining AR" her voice broke into his recollections.
"Di, it is my company not a joke. I have raised it single handedly."
"I know. I just want to be a part of it. I am not taking it away from you."

"Please Di, not this... Its the only thing left..."
"Try to understand me Chote, I need a brake."
"Di..." he pleaded with her.
AR was the only thing that he could call his own, he could not share it with anyone. After everything he had lost, he could not give up on his dream as well. If he sounded selfish, so be it.

"Chote, I am a stock holder in the company. I did not want to pull this up Chote" she added in an undertone, ashamed to have brought business into their relationship.

"Fine, I will ask Aman to help you. He will be your secretary." he said resigned. He no longer wanted to fight, for just anything.
Each passing minute took a toll on him, each memory of the past took his breath away.

"Thank you Chote. Try to think from my end of the line."
He just turned away, his wounds too raw to heal, his pain to unnerving to ignore and move on.

"I miss you Chote" Anjali said as she gave one last glance to the back of his baby brother before she left.

"Saalesaheb" his voice still haunted him. The memories associated with him haunted his being. The day more than 3 months ago as he had stepped into his house to be greeted by his then brother-in-law and anger had coursed in his veins. What had happened later was history, actions he would repent till the end of his life.

Summary: It has been three months to the Shyam fiasco. The episode will be dealt as a thing of the past. Akash and Payal are married and Khushi and the remaining Guptas have left for Lucknow.

Precap:
Tears made a way down her cheeks as she heard his voice through the phone. But, she could not answer him. He had tried countless amounts of time but she still could not speak with him. This was her battle, she would deal with it alone. However, the pain in his voice left her bare.
