she put that 'Anarkali' suit in the bag along with some other suits and hurriedly closed her bag. She was about to leave the room, when the land line gave out its shrill call. GUNJAN opened the cupboard and looked at her clothes, hands on her hips. She then picked up one suit and looked at it and then kept it back. She did this a couple of times and then finally she zeroed down on one suit. As she was checking the other suits, she stopped and then turned around and slapped her forehead...she remembered SHARADA Jii's instructions to inform MONISH.. (( Oh !! Aunty ne MONiSH ko call kar inform karne ko kaha tha...Maine toh unhein call kiya hi nahin...!! Pehle unki permission bhi toh zaroori hai... 3 days ke liye POONA jaane ke liye leave toh leni hogi naa... Lekin,1st day hi leave ke liye kehna...Kitna bura lag raha hai... Par,unse kehna bhi toh zaroori hai... I know,woh permission de denge...
And then she remembered SAMRAT's instructions about reporting to work... she felt sad... something did not feel right... aur shayad inn 3 dinon mein...SAMRAT Sir ka anger kuchh kam ho jaaye...aur phir, yeh bhi toh ho sakta hai ki, inn 3 dinon mein unhein koi dusri P.A. mil jaaye... phir,toh unka work bhi disturb nahin hoga... phir,unhein mere MONiSH ke saath work karne se koi problem bhi nahin hogi... ))
And then she remembered SAMRAT's instructions about reporting to work... she felt sad... something did not feel right... aur shayad inn 3 dinon mein...SAMRAT Sir ka anger kuchh kam ho jaaye...aur phir, yeh bhi toh ho sakta hai ki, inn 3 dinon mein unhein koi dusri P.A. mil jaaye... phir,toh unka work bhi disturb nahin hoga... phir,unhein mere MONiSH ke saath work karne se koi problem bhi nahin hogi... ))
She walked to the study table where her purse lay and took her cell out to dial MONISH's number. Surprisingly, the cell showed switched off. She was surprised, but she tried again...same response... ((Lagta hai... phir,kisi important meeting mein busy hain... Koi baat nahin... Jab tak packing kar leti hoon...))
She kept her cell on the desk and walked back to the cupboard for the most difficult task... choosing the right kind of clothes for the function... (( Kaun se dress loon...?? Zyada heavy dresses toh mujhse carry hi nahin hote... kuchh sober...light sa hi select karti hoon... waise bhi yeh sirf Engagement ceremony hai...Marriage thode na hai... Thank God ! ki,aaj RAHUL nahin hai... warna again shopping ke liye jaana padta... aur ceremony ke liye phir 1 nayi dress leni padti... jaise uss Party ke liye... Oh...Party ke liye jo dress li thi...Kya woh pehnoon...??
She moved some dresses here and there and finally saw that Green and Red 'Anarkali' suit... she moved her fingers over the suit as she remembered that day... the first time she met SAMRAT... Lekin...yeh dress...?? No...Iss dress ki wajah se uss din kitni saari confusion ho gayi thi...
as she remembered that day, a smile played on her lips. DAI MAA and her mistaking GUNJAN for SAMRAT's to be wife...this thought and her milky white cheeks tinged a perfect pink...woh Aunty...unhone toh... By mistake... mujhe apni hone wali 'Bahu' hi samajh liya... she smiled... Kitni pyari thin woh...Bilkul Maa ki tarah... Really,kitni lucky hogi woh ladki... jo unki 'Bahu' banegi... Kaash... Sach...kitni badi fool thi main...Jo pata nahin...kab...kyun...kaise unse pyaar karne lagi... The smile disappeared as did the blush when she came back to reality... the reminder of the days at his office and then that awful day at THE AMBASSADOR was enough for the pretty face to stop glowing...
