Part 6

Dishas at her interview…and guess where it is…Kanaka!

She's really nervous cause Kanaka's a really big company and if she gets this project then it'll mean that more people will recognize her face so she'll get more assignments…

She looked at Dhruv Saighal who was looking at her portfolio…he put it down and looked at Disha making her feel more nervous than she already was…

Dhruv: after looking at your portfolio I think you know what my answer's gonna be…

She was sad cause she thought that she hadn't got the job…Dhruv picked up his phone and dialled a number…

D: Rosie…can you please tell Mr. Oberoi to get the contract ready…

Disha looked up…

D: we've found our model…

He put down the phone and smiled at her…

Disha: thanks…thanks so much…

After about half an hour the contract came which they signed stating that Disha would be the model of Kanaka for six months and Dhruv handed her an advance check…they then shook hands and congratulated each other…

Disha went out of the office with a big smile on her face…she couldn't believe her luck!…she got into her car and drove out the gates of Kanaka…just two seconds later a car entered the car park and out came DK and Ved…

They both went into Dhruv's office who was happy to see that at least vedant was in the office (his first day)…

D: DK beta you should have come 5 minutes earlier and you would have met our new model…

Ved: what?!!! You chose the model dad?! Shit…couldn't you wait for us…

DK laughed and took vedant to his cabin where he showed vedant how to do some paperwork etc. after a while…

Ved: aww man…brother I can't take this anymore…feels like my brains gonna burst…I need food…

DK: vedant…you've only been here for 5 minutes…

Ved: what? 5 minutes? Seems like 5 years!!!

DK laughed and ruffled vedants hair…

Ved: hey brother…watch the hair…

DK: sorry, sorry…



Everyones at Sanyas house cause it's the mehndhi…Disha and Rano are with Sanya getting her ready…

D: wow…you look great…

S: really?…are you sure?…

R: hey…why are you so nervous?

S: I'm not nervous…

She started pacing round the room playing with her hands and biting her lip…

Disha laughed and made her sit down…

D: Sanya…this is only the mehndhi…what gonna happen tomorrow?

S: I don't know…what if…what if Gautham doesn't like me?…

Disha and Rano rolled their eyes…

R: God Sanya…he wouldn't be marrying you if he didn't like you…

S: but, what if…

D: what if the sky was red?….what if I was married with 10 kids?…what if I'd killed that guy who scratched my car…

Sanya out her hands on her hips and gave Disha a glare…

S: Disha…you just wait until…

But before she could say anything else Rano and Disha were pushing her out the door and into the hallway where all the ladies were settled…some singing…some dancing…some applying mehndhi and some getting it applied…

Everyone moved to the side to let the three girls come in and sit down…the girls got to work straight away on Sanya…after a while Sanya leaned over to Disha and whispered in her ear…

S: where are the guys?

Disha gave a cheeky grin…

D: relax Sanya…after tomorrow you'll have bhaiyya all to yourself…

She laughed at Sanyas angry glare…

D: chill…he's outside celebrating with some of his friends…

Finally Dishas turn came and the girl started applying mehndhi on her hands while she chatted with Sanya…after about an hour all of it was done except for a small space on her right palm…the girl couldn't think of anything to put their…

D: umm…put my name their…
The girl started writing Disha's name…she did the D, I and she'd just done the S when a small kid came running up to them and bumped into the girl, who smudged part of the S by mistake…

Girl: oh…I'm so sorry…
D: it's ok…the rest of my Mehndhi's dry anyway…I'll just go and wash it off…she got up and went to the bathroom…


Outside…

All the guys were sitting, drinking and talking…DK and Vedant were also there…at the moment they were taking the piss out of Gautham and telling him how after marriage he'd have to obey Sanya's every wish…

DK got up, turned round and looked at the house…he took a large swig of his beer and looked at the window…he was about to take another one when he stopped halfway through…he'd just seen Disha walk past the window…he looked more closely and saw that she walked past the second window as well…he was standing there with his mouth open and the bottle an inch away from his mouth…suddenly Vedant came up to him…

Ved: hey brother…what happened?

DK: look…look over their Vedant…

DK grabbed vedant's hand and made him look towards the window…but Disha had gone by then…

Ved: what am I meant to be looking at…

DK: but…but she was right here…

Ved: sure brother…I think you've had to much to drink…

Vedant took DK's bottle and walked over to the guys…

DK was left standing there…he smiled (awwwwwww) and nodded his head while looking down….

DK: I'm in love…

Disha came back and sat down looking at her hands…Sanya looked over her shoulder and saw that the place where the girl was writing Disha's name, had actually smudged and now it read 'DK'…

S: who's this DK?

D: Sanya!!

S: ok…sorry!


The wedding day!!!

Rano was at Sanya's house getting her ready…Suhas had also decided to go their to get ready…Disha had just come back from a shoot and was getting ready upstairs while Gautham was waiting for her…

G: Disha!!!…hurry up!!!!

D: relax bhaiyya…not like this wedding can happen without you…

Gautham was getting frustrated when the doorbell rang…he opened the door and was surprised to see Vedant and DK…

G: hey…what are you guys doing here?
DK: hey…we're from the grooms side…so we might as well go with you…

Ved: why are you still here anyway?

Gautham sighed…

G: I'm waiting for my sister to get ready so that we can go…

Ved: oh…okay…

After half an hour they were still there…Gautham was getting frustrated and Suhas has already called 10 times to ask him when they were coming…

Finally vedant got up…

Ved: why is your sister taking so long? She isn't getting married as well is she?
G: seems like it…

Ved: ok…tell you what…me and you will take my car and go to the wedding…brother can bring your sister…

G: great idea…

DK: but…me and your sister…

Ved: hey brother…we're only asking you to bring her to the wedding…not get married to her…

Gautham and vedant left while DK just stood there looking helpless…he walked over to the stairway…

D: bhaiyya I'm coming…

DK was about to tell her that Gautham had gone when he froze…

*FLASH*

D: if you ever come near my car again…you'll wish you'd never been born…

*FLASH*

DK: oh God…Gauthums her sister…I mean she's Gauthams brother…I mean…God help me…

D: bhaiyya!

She was so busy looking in her purse that she didn't notice DK waiting at the bottom of he steps, or her dupatta slide of her neck and fall on the stairs…

D: ahhhhhhh

she slipped over he dupatta and fell…

right into DK's arms!..slowly she opened one eye…then the other and was shocked to see DK staring at her…

she gave him an angry glare and shouted…

D: PUT ME DOWN!!!

DK got so startled that he dropped her…

D: ow!!!

DK: well…you did say to put you down…

Disha gave him a mean look, got up, took her dupatta and draped it round herself…

D: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE? GET OUT!!!! YOU STUPID…IDIOT…

DK: SSSSSHHHHHHHHHH!!

He put his finger on her lips…

DK: think before you open your mouth and start screaming…I'm you're brothers friend and he left me here so I could take you to the wedding cause he was getting late…I didn't ask to be stuck in a car with you…now you can either stay here or be at you brother's wedding…

He went outside, leaving Disha gawping at him…finally she got herself together and walked outside, only to find him sitting in her car!

D: right…that's it!…what are you doing in MY car..

DK: your aiy and sister went in Gauthams car…Gautham and my brother took his car…mines still at the garage being cleaned up…so that leaves yours…now get in, we're already late…

Disha clenched her fists cause she really didn't wanna go to the wedding with a guy who had a black eye…she sat in the drivers seat and started the engine…


DK and Disha were on the road…he was looking at her and she was looking ahead…

Disha: *stupid, idiot, duffer…what does he think of himself?…if it wasn't bhaiyya's wedding he'd be in the hospital right now*

DK: *wow…what a girl…she gets angry really quickly, but that makes her look more beautiful…and what a kamar!*

Disha didn't know it but DK was having lots of fun staring at her naked waist and itching to put his hands round it…

Disha was getting bored with the silence so she turned on the radio…the cricket match highlights were on

DK: great…cricket!

Radio: and the scores so far are…

Disha rolled her eyes and turned of the Radio…

Dk: hey!...i was listening to that!

Disha: tough!...my car…my radio…my telecast!

DK: (under his breath)…why did god make beautiful girls so annoying?

Disha: what did you say?!!!

DK: oh…umm…I was saying we're gonna be late for the wedding…

She looked at the time

Disha: oh god! You got your seat belt on?

DK: uh…no…

Disha: oh well…

She put her foot down and overtook all the cars in front of her…

DK: hey!!!...slow down…you trying to kill me?!!!

Disha: if only I could…

10 minutes later they reached the wedding…DK jumped out the car as fast as he could and started taking deep breaths…

DK: never…never again…

She gave him a fake smile and locked her car…

she sneaked into the hall and walked over to Rano…Gautham and Sanya were on their last pheras…

R: di…you know how late you are…where were you and DK?

D: DK?

R: yeh…bhaiyya's friend…the one who you came with…

D: what! His names DK?

R: yeh…

Disha was shocked and she looked at her mehndhi which had DK's name on…
