Bhosle House...

Disha was in Rano's room getting her dressed for the evening…in front of them sat a picture of Sunil – Rano's to be…she'd refused to meet him, replying with a blunt yes when asked a few days ago if she was ready for the marriage…

Disha looked at Rano's reflection in the mirror while pinning her dupatta to her hair…

D: You can still refuse you know…it's not to late…

Rano shook her head and continued putting her bangles on…

R: I promised someone…and I'm not going to break it…

For a second Disha was confused…but she kept quiet once the truth dawned on her…

Two hours later…

The guests had started coming in and Suhas was scurrying around the house, greeting everyone and checking that nothing was amiss…

Finally Sunil arrived and was greeted warmly…finally it was time for Rano to come down…everybody looked at the two sisters as they slowly made their way down the staircase…

Comments flew around the hall, all commenting on how beautiful she looked, and what a good couple they made…but Rano could only feel Vedants eyes on her, as he watched her coming down with a sad smile on his face…

Disha led her to Sunil and they stood face to face…Rano looked up and for the first time saw the guy who she would spend the rest of her life with…she noticed that Sunil looked quite nervous, and kept darting glances towards his left…

Slowly Rano looked that way too, but couldn't see anyone except for DK, and some aunties that had made their way to the house with Sunil…

Suhas brought the rings and Sunil picked his up first…taking Rano's hand in his he was about to slip the ring through her finger…

"STOP!!!!"

Surprised the guests parted to see a lady standing at the entrance…dressed in a light pink sari with a bright red sindoor carefully placed on her forehead, she was greeted with shocked expressions from everyone…

She strode towards the middle…

Lady: this engagement can't take place!!

Rano could hear some of the old lady's gasp…confused and annoyed, Disha stood in front of the lady…

D: Who are you, and why are you against the engagement?

Lady: my name's Priya, and I'm Sunil's wife!!!

Time seemed to freeze as the last three words flew around the hall…whereas everyone was stunned…Rano was hopeful…There was anger yes…but the thought of her and Vedant finally becoming one…instantly made her forget Sunil's deceit…

Disha was the first one to recover from the shock…her stunned expression was soon replaced by one of fiery anger…

D: What's this Sunil?!!! This lady's your wife?!!

Sunil mopped his sweating brow with a nervous expression and gulped as Disha's glare bore into him…she took one step closer to him…and DK, scared that she might beat the poor guy black and blue, grabbed her arm…

DK: Disha…relax!!!

She exploded…

D: Relax?!! DK…You're telling me to relax after what he did?!

DK put both his hands firmly on Disha's shoulder and tried to quieten her down…

But there was no-one to do the same to Priya as she started blasting Sunil…

S: Look Priya…I can explain!!

He became more nervous than ever as he tried to stop his wife from storming out…

P: Explain?!! You can do that in court when I divorce you!!

S: What?!! But…DK…?!!

On hearing DK's name…Priya stopped in her tracks and turned round…she stared at DK in disbelief…obviously only noting his presence now…

P: DK?! You knew?!?! You knew and you still let him…

DK was starting to look uncomfortable now and could feel rather than see Disha staring at him…

D: How does she now you?! DK…what's going on?!!

DK: Umm…well…

He tried to avoid everyone's gaze and come up with an excuse…

V: I can explain everything bhabhs!!

Everybody turned round to stare at Vedant (especially the guests, who felt that they had come to a cinema rather than an engagement…and despite the occasional gasps…it was obvious they were enjoying themselves)

Disha narrowed her eyes at Vedant who was looking more amused than worried at the turn of events…

V: Today at Kanaka…I was going to dad's cabin to get some papers signed when I heard him and brother arguing…I was about to walk away when I heard mine and Rano's name mentioned…

And Vedant told them everything…when DK had found out that Vedant and Rano loved each other…he decided that he would get payback for Vedant spoiling his honeymoon…so he made a plan with Dhruv, Gargi, Sumitra and Suhas…at first they were only to make Vedant feel miserable for a few days before telling him the truth…But then Rano agreed to the engagement which complicated everything…the elders were worried but DK, who was sure he could handle it, roped in his best friend Sunil who had recently got married…and making sure that Vedant hadn't met him before…forced him to come to the engagement…Vedant had known for at least 12 hours…but instead of confronting DK he had decided to track down Priya and make things even more complicated for DK…

The end of Vedant's story was met with silence, until Dhruv, Gargi, Sumitra and Suhas apologised to Vedant and Rano and said that they didn't think the joke would go this far…Vedant and Rano assured them that it was perfectly fine and they held no grudges…

Meanwhile Sunil and Priya made up as well and then everyone cheered as Vedant slipped a beautiful ring on to Rano's finger and she smiled at him…

Soon the youngsters took over the party by singing and dancing…everyone was in a jovial mood and all worries were forgotten…the only person who seemed distressed was DK…

He battled through the dancing people as he tried to catch a glimpse of Disha…he had not seen her since Vedant had revealed the secret, and DK knew that she wouldn't find the joke very funny…

Distracted by his search…he didn't realise where he was going and nearly bumped into Gautham…

G: hey careful yaar…what's the rush?

DK: Uhh…sorry Gautham…But I was looking for Disha…

G: Disha?!……she went back home because…

But DK didn't hear the reason as by that point he was already running across the house towards the entrance…it was even worse than he thought…Disha had gone home, probably in anger!!

DK jumped in his car and hurried off home….

Saighal House…

DK rushed up the steps two at a time and reached his bedroom door panting…

DK: Disha…

Disha stopped momentarily to give DK a cold look before going back to what she was doing…

DK's heart sank as he saw he packing a large suitcase…worried he ran up to her…

DK: Disha please…I'm sorry!!! It was only a joke and I didn't mean to hurt you….please don't leave me…

Disha just moved to the side and was about to go back to her wardrobe when she felt DK clasp her hand…irritated, she turned round and was about to scream at him, but he wasn't there…confused she looked down and was surprised to see him on his knees…

DK: Disha please…I'm really sorry!!

Looking at his sad face and the tears welling in his eyes…Disha melted and helped him stand up…

D: DK!! How did you think I would leave you for something like this…

DK was confused…

DK: But all of this…

Laughing she hugged him…

The weddings in three days…and I'm going over to help mamma and bhaiyya…besides, I am from the girls side!!

DK buried his face into her hair…

DK: I'll miss you!!

He kissed her shoulder sending shivers up and down her spine…Disha's grip tightened on his shirt as DK slid his hands down her back…she could feel him lightly pulling at the dori of her blouse…Just when Disha was about to give in…she heard a noise from the front door, and realising that everyone was back…she hastily pushed DK away…

DK: Disha!!

D: no DK!! Everyone's back!!

Disha turned her back on him and started shoving the rest of her clothes into the suitcase…after closing and locking her suitcase, she picked it up and turned round to see DK looking at her with his arms crossed over his chest…

He gave her a cute smile as he noticed the light red tinges on her cheeks…Disha blushed under his gaze and started making her way towards the door when DK stopped at her…

With an even cuter smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, he took the suitcase from her, and as their fingers brushed together, DK gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and walked out…

sorry for not continuing guys.....i was really busy and them my cousins wedding...anyways...i've now completed the Fan fic:

DK was pacing the room restlessly…it had only been three hours since Disha had left…but he was already missing her so much!! He glanced at the clock and saw that it was just past midnight…debating what to do…DK finally grabbed his car keys and sneaked out the house…

20 minutes later he was standing outside Disha's house…he looked up at the window in front of him, and remembered Disha standing there laughing at him when he'd eaten the spicy laddoos…

He looked around trying to find some way to get up there…finally DK spotted a tree…after checking to make sure it reached the window…DK slowly started climbing up it…

Finally DK reached the top and jumped inside…he was just brushing the leaves a twigs of his clothes when…

R: Jiju…?

Surprised…DK looked up and was shocked to see Rano!!

R: Jiju…what are you doing here?!!

She seemed frightened…and DK could understand why…

DK: umm…Rano…I was looking for…

R: Di..?!!

Suddenly Rano started laughing…

R: You thought this was di's room!

Shaking her head she gave him a smile, which suggested she knew something he didn't…

R: She's in the next room jiju!!

DK gave her a sheepish grin…

DK: Oh…right…thanks!!

He walked towards the window and was about to climb out again…when a thought came to his mind…

DK: Umm…Rano…you won't…I mean, tell anyone about this will you?!!

She chuckled

R: No jiju!!

Somewhat relieved, but still feeling silly for getting caught, DK climbed out the window and made his way to the next one…

As Rano watched him go out of sight…she felt someone wrap their arms around her waist…
