Part 23

After both came out of the hug and looked at DJ with a sweet smile... DJ had long back finalised this girl for Maan, when she first came and hugged her... And she, by now, knew that Maan also likes her... She again turned to Geet to know more about her...

DJ- So Geet, what do you do???

Maan was about to say, but DJ interrupted,

DJ- and Maan, I asked it to Geet. So you go and do your work...

Maan, like a good kid, got up from there and went to his seat and started studying his file, although his ears were at their converstion...

Geet- DJ... oops sorry, I guess I should not be calling you DJ... someone here would not like it... She slowly looked at Maan from the corner of her eyes... She teased the hell out of him...

DJ very well knew, whom she was taunting... She looked at Maan, who had a very angry expression displayed... But kept quiet looking at DJ...

DJ- you don't need to worry about any one here dear... You can call me DJ... I would love to hear it from your mouth... DJ smiled...

Geet- thanks DJ... I work here with Maan for his accounting work... We have entered into a contract just sometime back... His accounting dept was a fraudulent one... He found it, so contracted with my firm... I have a CA/CFA consultant partnership firm with my friend... She is working in Shaan's office as its accounting also happened in KC... So I m handling in KC and she works there...

DJ was listening to Geet intently... Geet was addressing all of them with their initials, as in first names or nick names, as if she knows everyone well... DJ voiced her thoughts,

DJ- beta, you know all of them already???

Geet- no DJ... That time when Maan saved me, he had come to meet me in the hospital... And later all this contract thing, so he said that we all are friends, so no calling Mr. Khurana or Mr. Khandelwaal... and we all became good friends...

DJ- oh, how sweet... or else, Maan doesn't allow friendly relation in office premises except with Suraj beta... She eyed Maan with her teasing expression...

Maan tried hard to hide himself in the file... Today, he was going to be teased till death... Ye Geet bhi aur info de rahi hai DJ ko, taaki vo mujhe chidha chidha kar maar dale... Maan was self talking, when again the cabin door opened... And seeing the person, he actually wanted to hide inside the table... To Maan's good fortune, she didn't notice DJ and Geet sitting there... She directly went towards Maan... But that was surely not for a long time...

Annie- bhai, aap itne jaldi nikal aaye subhe ki mujhe aapse baat karne ka mauka hi nahi mila... Aapko kuch batana tha mujhe... While she was talking to him, she turned around and saw DJ sitting with some girl, a pretty girl...

Annie- DJ, aap yaha??? Aap bhi aane waalithi to mujhe bol diya hota... Hum saath me hi aa jaate... She went near the ladies... and who are you??? Any new employee???

Geet- Yaa, you can say that... How are you Anvesha??? Geet gave a sweet smile to her...

Anvesha was confused a bit... She found the voice very familiar, as if she has heard it... But it was not falling at its place... How will it!!! It has been so many days after they had spoke to each other due to that wrong number call by Geet... She thought, may be Maan had told Geet, her name... So she asked,

Annie- hello, what is ur name???

Geet- Geet...

Annie's face brightened by listening the name... She first couldn't believe it... This is such a small world... She wanted to meet this girl, and here she is working with my bro, Annie thought...

Annie- no, are you serious???

Geet- yes Anvesha... She gave her a bright smile...

Annie threw her bag besides her and almost jumped on her in excitement... Maan and DJ were kind of shocked, seeing Annie's behaviour... Annie has never behaved in such a way even in her childhood... What is so much of excitement about..????

On the other hand, Geet was very happy seeing her excitement... It was like; a small kid who's very awaited wish was fulfilled... She happily hugged Annie...

Annie- Geet Di... she almost screamed in Geet's ears...

Di??? Maan and DJ were in deep thought... They looked at each other... Maan shrugged his shoulders seeing DJ's questioning look... Maan atlast interrupted their happy moment...

Maan- Annie, you know Geet...????

Annie then realised what she has done... This was a sweet secret of her and Geet... She looked at Geet with a pleading face, as if telling her to handle the situation... Geet nodded slightly, only Annie to notice it, assuring her that she will handle it...

Geet- yes Maan, I know her already... We have talked once... I was once calling my Dad, and the call, by mistakenly reached your home... And Annie had answered it... She thought that it was you on the other side, so she excitedly addressed me as Maan bhai... Then I realised that it was a wrong number... but we got along very well at that time... And she wished to meet me atleast once... And now that she saw me, she got excited...

Maan- Annie, you talked on a wrong number???

Geet- no Maan, I told her that I know you... But she was still not talking to me, thinking that I m some crazy lover of yours... She smiled...

Maan didn't question further and smiled... How much I wish you to be my crazy lover, Maan thought... But still he had some doubts with Geet's explanation... So much bonding after just a simple wrong number... There must be something else in it too... Zaroor Daal me kuch kala hai, he thought...

DJ almost read his mind seeing his smile... She was very happy for Maan... It was very long time that Maan had talked so much... She had heard Maan speaking so much after so many years... How much she wished her son and daughter-in-law to be here... When she saw Geet, she missed Mamta, Maan's mom... She had seen the same light and enthusiasm that was in Mamta... DJ and mamta had a great relation... It wasn't a saas- bahu relation; it was sometimes mom- daughter, sometimes even friends... No one would have ever guessed their actual relation, when they were out in crowd... Her son had a great choice, when it came to Mamta... Raj and Mamta was the most romantic couple, she would have ever known... Maan and Annie were the live proof of it... And also that unborn child, which died with them in that accident... Suddenly her face became pale... She was reminded of that time...

Maan saw DJ's face and got worried... What happened to DJ??? She was fine. Just minutes ago, Maan thought... Maan went near DJ...

I HAVE WRITTEN HIS ONE JUST BECOZ I PROMISED U GUYS ANOTHER UPDATE...

THERE ARE LOT OF THINGS GOING ON AROUND ME THAT I M NOT ABLE TO HANDLE...

NOW MY NEXT UPDATE WOULD BE IN THE NEW YEAR... MOSTLY BY 5TH OF JAN...
