PART 13

Geet was lost in herself all the while... She was now relieved that nothing was much wrong with her but how was she going to tell this to Maan... Obviously, she is not going to tell him now... She was intensely thinking now... Suddenly, she felt her cell phone vibrating... She saw the caller... IT was Rano...

Rano- Hello, Geet... Where are u dear??? I have been calling you from long time... and u picked it now... Did you meet the doctor... What did she say???

Geet heard Rano's tense voice and realised that its has been too late that she has been out... So she answered Rano coolly...

Geet- Mom, calm down... I m fine... I met the doctor and she said its nothing to worry about... its only swelling that is leading to pain... There was no one at home, so I just came to Bandra Reclamation to have a round... I m coming home soon in sometime...

Rano calmed ater listening to Geet's calm voice...

Rano- Ok dear... Jaldi aao... byee...

Geet- bye mom...

Geet realised that her behaviour was worrying Rano a lot... She knew that Rano had felt her restlessness and that was why she got so tense not finding her at home... She still had that fear of Geet's accident... That was also why she got so tensed... Geet made her way to the main road to catch a cab to her home...

She found a cab and got in... She told the cab driver of her destination and re;xed herself in her seat... The radio of the cab was on... She kept staring outside still thinking and trying to clear her mind... She heard the RJ speak...

Geet was listening to all what the RJ was saying... how true was that... Yes, only a person himself can know how he/she feels about their dreams... their aspirations, their bittersweet memories... But here she was knowing someone else's dreams and memories... But was she at any fault???? It was destiny who was playing such games with her...

The dreams of Maan, and about Maan... Now she was not able to see properly... these dreams were blurring her view of the outside world of logic and sense... She was lost on a lone street now, but she was not alone... She was possessed with the dreams and memories of the Man, she has feelings for, which were getting stronger day by day...

Her eyes and thought were taking toll on her... Her gaze went up in the sky, maybe asking God what she should do now... She spotted some stars up the sky... One of them was glowing more than the rest... She related that one star to herself... Like meaning the words of the song... That star was shinning for her... That star was talking to her on behalf of God, that she should have faith in her love and belief in almighty... nothing can go wrong till the time you believe in HIM... Its HIS game, and will not let you lose, if HE doesn't want you to...

She had lost her sudh budh or her senses in whatever was happening around her... The dreams that she was seeing were like a story, story of a very person, she likes... She was able to know this man more... HE was not the same that he was pretending to be... For the outside world, he was arrogant, over-confident and all such traits oozing out from his demeanor...But they could only see what he wanted them to see, and not what he actually was... But she was still not sure, if what she was thinking to be a story was actually reality... She still was not that familiar with the man... Sure she knows many things about him, but the man has still more in himself for her to know... God has instilled only his memories to her but not what the man himself was...

She had lost herself to him now, not only by his dreams but also by her own mind and soul... And she was totally unaware of it... She was afraid that were these things just temporarily instilled into her and will vanish sometime later or were they going to be with her for her lifetime... And what will happen if Maan does not accept her after knowing this thing... Will he think that she used all these thing to make him fall for her??? Will he think that she took advantage of this thing to make him love her??? She was fighting with these questions... They were haunting her too much now...

She never came to know when she reached mear her home... The cab driver called her twice... Atlast she cam out of her thoughtswhen he called her loudly, the third time... She came out of her reveries and got down from the cab... She paid him and went in...

Rano opened the door and was relieved to see Geet...

Rano- Atlast, u r back... Mujhe laga ki ghar ke raasta bhul gayi...

Geet composed herself and smiled for Rano's sake... She wanted to tell Rano what she got to know about herself...But she held herself back... Let me first get accustomed with what is happening, then i'll let her know, she decided in her mind...

She got in and told Rano that she'll change and they will have dinner together... She came after sometime... She told Rano about her foot, talked some more about what happen in the clinic to ease Rano more... After some time left for her room on the pretext of being sleepy... Rano was a bit relieved that Geet was fine, but still she was not convinced that she was fine... But she couldn't do much about it... She also went to sleep, after checking on Pinky...

Geet went to her room... And all the thoughts clouded her again... She decided that she would not go to Maan's office even tomorrow... She wanted to clear her confusion before facing him again... She wanted to make sure what is happening with her is destiny and not something funny happening with her... She also wanted to make sure that what she feels for Maan is beoz of her feelings and not due the memories she got... She wanted to also make sure of her feelings... They should not be out of gratitude towards the man... The feelings should be purely hers... Thinking so she thought of messaging Maan about her absence tomorrow too... But, instead she called him...

Geet- Hello Maan...

Maan- Hi Geet... Maan was happy to hear her voice... His day today had been very dull, he dint know why...

Geet- sorry to call you this late...

Maan- that is ok yaar... Friends ko hi to haq hota hai kabhi bhi call karneka...

Geet- I called you to tell that i wont be coming tomorrow too... Sorry...

Maan- ohh (He felt sad) thats fine... tum gayi thi kya doctor ke paas...kya kaha doctor ne... ????

Geet found his chirpy voice going dull... She felt obliged with the care he was showing to her, but sad that she was not able to oblige him with her care...

Geet- haa mein gayi thi doctor ke paas... she told that its just a sprain, but thoda pain abhibhi hai... isiliye me nhi aa rahi hu kal...

Maan, a bit tense now- bohot zyaada dard hai kya???

Geet was now feeling all the more guilty to lying to him...

Geet- nhi, zyaada nahi hai, but baadme dard hone se better hai abhi araam kar loo...

Maan- ha ha, koi baat nhi... you come whenever you r well...

Geet- thankx Maan...

Maan- tum sorry aur thanks bohot bolti ho... tumhe vo friendship rule nahi pata, Friendship me, no sorry and no thank you...

Geet- oops, my mistake...kya karu, professional logonko aise hi baat karni padti hai.. tumhe to pata hai na...

Maan- haa pata hai, but we are friends too, if you have forgotten...
