While Arnav was still in the thoughts of whether believing Khushi or not they reached their destination. After picking up their things and parking their car, they left to sightsee the epitome of love. Arnav received a call from his office and asked the others to continue their walk towards the Mahal. Anjali and Khushi waited for him to finish the call while Akash and Payal walked forward. Anjali was little uncomfortable and seeing this Khushi helped her to a nearby bench and also in relaxing her leg for a while. When Arnav came back, Anjali asked them to proceed while she wanted to rest. But Khushi said," Di we will go if only you come. Otherwise we can stay here till they both return. It is alright if I do not get to see this today but I am not gonna visit it without you." Anjali overwhelmed told her," Ok baba, We can go together but wait for ten minutes." Khushi smiled and nodded her head. Arnav was really happy by seeing the bond between Khushi and Di. He too would have refused if his Di was not coming. While the ladies chatted on the arrangements for Akash's marriage, he caught up with his work. Finally Anjali told she was fine and Khushi purposefully walked slow showing his Di here and there and exclaiming for insignificant things that his Di started laughing at antics and started laughing forgetting her pain. Arnav felt really content in witnessing Khushi's care for his Di. They then reached the chahar bagh. They could see the pretty garden and the fountains from there. Khushi was astonished with the planning of the garden and the walkways. She kept turning from side to side taking in the beautiful sight in front of her. Arnav watched his wife mesmerised by her joy. Anjali too watched the happy Khushi and held her hand and kept telling her the story of the Taj Mahal.
Anjali said," These gardens are specialty of the Mughals Khushi. The garden is called charbagh matlab Paradise gardens. This is an Islamic belief and the Mughals brought it to India.These five fountains are symbolism of the celestial Kausar, their God's river in paradise. That enclosure you see is where Mumtaz was originally buried and then she was shifted inside after the construction of the Mahal. You know what Shah Jahan did. He cut every worker's arm who built this tomb saying that they should never construct anything like this once again. His tribute to his wife, his one true love." Khushi's eyes widened when she heard the last part and murmured " Bilkul Laad Governor jaise. What is the need to cut their hands. Really bad. But must have really missed his wife." She then sighed slightly at the thought of her married life being love barren. Arnav chuckled as he heard what she said and also the sigh. Arnav felt guilty. Maybe I coud change that. He then went near her and held her hand. She stunned by his sudden gesture looked at the entwined hands and also at him and then continued her banter with his Di. They then went inside and Khushi kept admiring the architecture while his Di continued with the description. When they saw the tomb and after hearing his Di's description Khushi gripped his hand and Arnav turned to find tears in her eyes. He was not paying much attention as he was busy instructing Aman. But why tears, he was confused. Khushi then sniffed and said," A really lucky woman. To have a husband who loves her to this extent even after her death."
Anjali Di then said, " Well we are also lucky Khushi. You and me. See we both too have husbands who love us and reciprocate our feelings, who take care of us. Who cannot live without us. Maybe they are not emperors like Shah Jahan to build us a Taj Mahal but they definitely love us and we are indeed lucky." Khushi at this point looked guiltily at Arnav and he too mirrored the same.
Finally they caught Payal and Akash who by this time, completing their sightseeing stood outside with their hands together and gazing in each other's eyes.Anjali teased them and they broke apart. They decided to complete their lunch and went to the car. Arnav gave a final glimpse to the place and promised himself that he would make everything right in between him and her and indeed make her happy. He decided to listen to his heart once. To allow her inside his heart. No, he thought to accept to her that she was indeed in his heart fro she had made way there long back.
When he settled himself back in tha car, he slid his arms round her shoulders and pulled her a bit closer.Khushi remained silent at the sudden change in her husband's behavior. Well she has to as she could never understand his mood swings. One day he will be shouting and suddenly he yanked her for a kiss. On holi he kissed her and remained civil enough but the very next day he threw taunts at her. She was fed up now and decided to take as and when they come. Whether it was a memory or a tantrum. She did not mind as she felt more confident in her love that one day he will come to her realising her love and also her innocence in his jijaji's plan.
Anjali having become tired slept uncomfortably while sitting. Khushi moved out of Arnav's grasp and placed Anjali's head on her shoulders without disturbing her sleep and entwined her hands with Arnav's. He looked up at her feeling for the first time completely that she can never harm his Di's life and to take actions against his jijaji. Akash and Payal saw everything through the rear view mirror and side glances respectively and were happy that their plan for the day worked well seeing their joined hands.After dropping Payal they reached home late and Khushi set the table and served the threee. Arnav held her hand and asked her also to sit and eat. They completed their dinner and retired to their rooms. As Khushi was taking her pillows and Blanket to sleep on the couch, a hand stopped her and she just looked up. Arnav said," Khushi I I want to say something." She looked confused and Arnav stood there lost for words. Then Arnav decided that he was never good at words and just pushed her on the bed and landed right on top of her, his body covering every bit of hers and claiming her to be his own.
