So here we are folks! The much anticipated ARHI meeting! How I wish I could stop this (La-ASR marriage announcement I heard today!... Depressing! Well here goes)

Diwali Night (SS) Part 5 ' Arnav and Kushi meet

Arnav was standing on the gazebo waiting for Kushi. He was looking outside at the scenery but he could really see nothing. He was impatient to see her! He remembered the last time they were here! THIS was actually the place there relationship had changed. The night he apologized to her, and she told him all those things about herself, something had shifted. An "un-spoken" understanding had begun between them. Her words had changed him, and made him realize how much he had misjudged her!

Well, it was not JUST her words. Her actions as long as he had known her, especially in the last few weeks had shown him what she was made of.

The biggest testament to Kushi's ability to change people around her came from the metamorphosis of Lavanya. He had not been able to BELIEVE he was talking to the same person this morning. Her maturity when he had called time on their relationship had amazed him. Her words still echoed in his ears.

La: ASR...Please promise me you will look after Chamkili.

He had looked up at her with amazement in his eyes.

La: Come on ASR... did you think I didn't know? Do you think I am SO blind? Maybe the totally self absorbed person I used to be, MAY have missed the signs, but not now! SHE changed me ASR and she changed you too! Love can't be commanded, it just happens. It happened to you. I don't hold it against you ASR. I know you didn't MEAN to cheat me!

But please don't EVER treat her with the indifference that you showed me. Kushi is strong, but I don't know if she is strong enough to bear that? I think on THAT score, I am stronger than her!

Arnav: Lavanya...I'm sor...

La: Please ASR...Don't say it! ..What's that filmy line that Kushi always says?

Arnav: "Hasi toh Phasi"??

La: NO. When did she say that? (He was remembering the day he had gone past her house when she was acting "Sholay").

La: "Dosti main, no sorry, no thank you"! (Lavanya came forward and hugged Arnav).

La: I am going to London to be with my Mum. I'll e-mail you my address. Please send me an invite!

Arnav: To What?

La: To your wedding!

He heard a sound and his thoughts were broken'. He looked up and he saw Kushi. Standing at the foot of the steps of the gazebo. Looking at him with a quizzical expression!

He couldn't quite hide the emotions that flared in his eyes at the sight of her! However, he could not betray too much before he found out about this "marriage business". He had been hurt and disappointed many times in his life, and he still retained enough of the old "Arnav Mallik" in him that feared rejection!

Kushi walked up to him, and stood in front of him. She looked up at his eyes and they didn't hold much expression. (Yes this was ASR! As she entered and looked at him, she had seen Arnav, and something like hope had flared inside her). But then his expression had changed. He had become ASR.

Kushi: Why have you called me here? (She didn't see the point in beating around the bush).

Arnav: I need answers.

Kushi: About what?

Arnav: What's all this about an engagement? How come I've never heard about this before?

K: I didn't think I had to tell YOU about getting engaged! The last time I checked you were my employer, not my best friend?

Arnav: Don't get smart Kushi'.You know what I mean! How come you have never mentioned anything about a marriage before?

Kushi: There was nothing to mention. Nothing was confirmed. My family were talking about it. However, things became confirmed today, so I came to tell Anjali Ji that I was resigning. But she told me Lavanya ji already left. So I guess I would have had to leave anyway!

Arnav: What do you mean "things were confirmed today"? You said yes to marrying this guy TODAY?

Kushi: Yes. What is so special about today?

Arnav: Why this sudden decision to get married?

Kushi: I told you it's not sudden. This has been discussed for some weeks in my family. I only agreed to it today. I needed time to think.

Arnav: Who is this guy?

Kushi: He is a family friend. Actually he lives with us.

Arnav: He LIVES with you?

Kushi: Not with ME, with US. He is my buaji's paying guest. Shyam ji.

Arnav: Shyam ji? (He suddenly remembers the times he had heard that name before. The night he had dropped Kushi to her house after the guest house incident. That day in the store room when they were locked together, she had got a call. He had been SURE she had been talking to a man). This means she had KNOW this guys for months. He had been in her life for months and now she was marrying him?

Arnav could feel the jealousy he had been suppressing coming back to the fore. He had heard enough.

Arnav stepped forward and pulled Kushi against him! She had not been expected that and was surprised by his sudden proximity. He looked into her eyes for a moment...and then he just swooped down and claimed her lips with his.. At first Kushi tried to resist, tried to break free of his hold...but as his mouth nibbled at her lips, hers lips started to soften under his. Her hands moved up his chest and curled into the lapels of his jacket. This was ALL the encouragement Arnav needed and he deepened the kiss. Pulling her fully into him.

Her hands crept up from his lapels and moved around his neck. Her fingers moved into the hair at the nape of his neck. She clung to him and was unable to stop her response to his kiss. He was kissing her hungrily, and his hands were running up and down her sides and back. His hands found the dori at the back of her suit and pulled at it. Making it come off, and then he started to caress the exposed skin there. Kushi moaned at the pleasure of feeling his hands on her.

Arnav's mouth moved away from Kushi's as he came up for air.. He moved his mouth down her neck and bit at the nape.

"Arnav"' Kushi whispered in pleasure, unable to stop her response to his touch.

Arnav pulled away from Kushi. Her lips were slightly parted and swollen from his kiss''.He looked into her eyes that looked glazed with desire.. For HIM!

"How can you kiss me like that and even THINK of marrying another man?" Answer me dammit!
