The story starts after Arnav leaves Kushi at the poolside and now SHE is thinking about what happened between them. Hope you guys like it! I updated it coz everyone wanted to know what happens next!
Diwali Night SS (Updated). This is Kushi's POV.
What had just happened? Did Arnav just try to Kiss her? She couldn't believe it? Had the world turned on it's head? She was shocked. He had been close to her before, but there had always been a purpose behind the closeness. Even if it had been him taking his anger out on her or trying to be intimidating, trying to save her from numerous falls etc. Even the time he had un-tangled her from the fairy lights he had had a REASON to be close to her. Even though the memory of his touch at that time still made her blush! For a moment he had had an expression in his eyes before he had started to untangle her that had made her want to hide herself from him. It had lasted for a second before his eyes had masked their expression again, and even though she had tried to read them again, she had failed.
But today'. He had touched her for no particular reason at all! He had come close to her and held her. Had breathed her in and then moved closer still, and moved his face close to hers. She had just stood there, unable to react and then all of a sudden he had let her go and after staring at her for a moment, he had turned on his heels and left! She had stood there staring into space for what felt like hours and then had left the poolside. She went and made an excuse to the Raizada's about getting late and her family waiting for her and just left before they could protest. She needed to get away from this place. From him. She needed to think!
She had been shocked when he gave her back her Mother's payal, saying that he had found it by the poolside. He had not explained WHY he had kept it all this time. If memory served her she had lost it nearly 2 months ago, after Anajli ji's anniversary party.
She thought of that encounter with the "Laad governor" at the pool side that night, and tonight's encounter. Two months had passed and it almost felt like two centuries when she thought of how different things were between them now.
Tonight the man who had been at the poolside had not been the "Laad governor ASR" at all. It had been "Arnavji' HER Arnav"! WHAT was she thinking? Had she totally lost it? He was not HER Arnav at all! He was Lavanya's remember?
Well if that is the case, WHY is he acting like this with her? Why was he looking at HER and not Lavanya? Why had he stared at her when she was trying to show Lavanya how to dress in sari, and why was he starting at HER all night tonight and not at his so called girlfriend?
What sort of man WAS he that he had someone in his life and still acted this way towards her? Is he trying to take advantage of her because he had sensed her weakening towards him? Did he KNOW she had feelings for him? Oh my God no! She would DIE of embarrassment if she thought he had guessed how she felt?
How DID she feel? "Oh come of it Kushi"'. You KNOW how you feel? You LOVE him! Just admit it to yourself at least! HOW did this happen? A few weeks ago I didn't even LIKE him, and now'.. What am I going to do? "Devi mayya" WHY have you bought me to this place in life? Why have you given me this bitter test? I CAN'T love Arnav! It's a mirage! This love can NEVER be! Why start to show me this dream that can never come true! Stop being so cruel! I have already lost so much in my life; I can't stand to loose more! I don't need this!
With that resolve'. Kushi decided that she will go home and tell her mother and aunt that she was ready for this marriage with Shyam! She didn't want to do it. She felt it almost morally wrong to say yes to a marriage with one man when you were completely in love with another! But WHAT was she going to say to her family? That she couldn't marry Shyam because she loved Arnav Singh Raizada? What would THEY say? Or will they just fall down laughing?? They KNEW her history with him. Would any of them even believe her? Would Payal (the person who knew her the best) even believe this? They would think she had lost her mind! But the truth was she had lost her heart! She had lost her heart to the "Heartless beast ASR"! He HIMSELF had told her .."ASR has NO heart"!
Maybe ASR didn't have a heart' but "Arnav" did! She KNEW this for a fact. She knew he kept Arnav hidden from everyone. Maybe the ONLY person he showed him to was his sister. But SHE had seen glimpses of Arnav'
That day when he had been so nice to the little girl at the temple. The night he had apologized to her. His eyes had glistened with unshed tears and his voice had broken on that very first "sorry"! Then he had looked after her when she was ill. (even though it was because of HIM she had fallen ill in the first place). He had fought those goons, paid her Dad's hospital bill and then he had even asked her how he was doing. She could tell he was making an effort to be nice to her!
Even yesterday after what she had done to his juice and he had seen that video he had not yelled at her. He had asked her to EXPLAIN!! ASR would have just blown his top and accused her, but Arnav, had wanted to know WHY she would do this? He had an expression in his eyes that almost looked like hurt when he had asked her "What were you trying to do"?
NO the man she had fallen in love with was Arnav. Not the ASR the world knew! If ONLY they knew this man she had got to know. Then she would NEVER have to explain to anyone why she loved him. Her family would get it! But as it stood they NEVER will.
Kushi stopped for a minute and let herself think' what if HE loved her too? What if he felt the same way she did? The very thought made her heart soar and she felt like she was flying among the stars. It would be heaven to be loved by Arnav, she could not think of anything she would want more in life than to be with him, to be loved by him and be in his arms forever!
ENOUGH Kushi! Stop this now! (Oh God she is now even TALKING like him)' Stop spinning impossible dreams and get back to reality!
Kushi decided. Tomorrow was the day. She was going to tell her family she will go ahead with this sham of a marriage with Shyam to make them happy. To fulfil her fathers's wishes!
THEN she will go to see the Raizada's and resign from her job. She had to say goodbye to Arnav! Forget that she had EVER met Arnav at all!
From now on she can ONLY think of him as ASR! Ruthless and heartless! This was the only way!
