Next Day
It was too late.. Geet still in bed.Rano entered her room
Rano: Geet get up..u hav to visit Misha na !!!…
Geet: Maa let me sleep..
Rano: Geet u told me ….Misha aaj jaldi jaa rahi hai then...😡
She got a sudden shock ..what excuse next….How she forgot 😭 .She jumped from bed.
Geet: Ha woh Maa main itna thak gayi k time ka patta nahi challa…I should hurry up( She was caught)
Rano: No need to go any where….Geet ..I know every thing ..what is truth..
Geet: what Mamma ?
Rano: Yahi k Misha is not going anywhere…U told me lie.
Geet: But Mamma….
Rano: No beta….no excuse more…..I called Misha's mother previous nite to give them best wishes for Misha's higher studies …But When I told her that we r in Jalndhar..u know what she said ?
Geet: what Mamma ?( she set next to her Mom )
Rano: yahi k they r in Ludhiana for a close ones's marriage…n for three days…Misha was with family also..She was willing to met us after months as We r in Jalandhar..but due to marriage we can't
Geet: then what yu said?( she was about to cry )
Rano: I jst asked that I came to Jalndhar so I called them n accha hota mulakaat ho jatti…shukar hai..yeh tumhara Canada walla jhot nahi keh baithi…but why u did so ?
Geet: Sorry Maa…but these days I m too upset…my heart n soul hav no peace…But my inner self called me I should go to Jalandhar….but I had no reason…so I said so…might b I spent my beautiful phase my childhood here…( Geet got up)
Rano: I can understand but beta before this u never told a lie to us…we r ur parents ..ur dear ones r all around u..who love u more than any thing else…u coul share ur feelings at least with one of us..ur Massi..me..ur Pa..ur Mausa ji..( she held her shoulders)
Geet: I know …but I promise I ll not do such again….
Rano: I also know my dear…n after visiting dargah I can feel how much peace u got.if it become possible we ll visit there
Rano: ok be ready…lots of work is there…u hav to help.
Geet: But for which reason ?
Rano: Mr Maan Sing Khuraana is coming …tum ne he suggest kiya tha Ram ko…he told me everything ….woh ayegay to raat ko but lots of work is there…he is a big name….( she gave her towle)
Geet: so what Mom...if he is coming what I can do (she pretended nothing effect her )
Rano : Geet u hav a great taste for interiors …I know Tina k ghar main every thing is upto date..but she wants some special arrangement's lik flowers crockery. .Manu She needs u ..help her...come fast….( actually Rano n Tina wanted to distract her mind..where in Tina's house every thing was more then enough )
Geet : Ok Mamma ( she thoughts for a while n said yes)

Whole day Tina,Rano n Geet spent in preparations….n everybody was happy to see Geet was doing everythin voluntarily
Around 7:30 pm
Ram got a call n after that he came to ladies siting in livin room...
Ram: Tina Mr. Khuraana is coming within 10-15 minutes..every thing is ok
Tina: Ya dear everything is ok..Geet did by herself..n we all know she is such a perfectionist.
Ram: Ya I know..but where is she…( she was missin)
Rano: I think she is getting ready..I gonna inform her.
N she left.But what she found Geet was in her everyday cloths not ready for special dinner ..totally arranged by her….
Rano: Geet tum abhi takk tayaar nahi hue..r u ok ..beta( she set next to her on bed )
Geet: Ya Mom I m fine..But don wanna go downstairs (she made face)
Rano: But why beta ?
Geet: U know Mom ..he is Mausa Ji's guest ..main aa k kya karugi …wahi unki boring business discussions….But Mom I really enjoyed preparations….( first she made face n them smiled to convince Rano she was fine)
Rano: sure!!!!!!
Geet: Damn sure Maa….aur main kahi bahhar to nahi jo aap ko fikar hogi..ghar per hi hu..n no excuse I aware …
Rano: ok as u wish …( she was about to leave..when Geet called her behind)
Geet: Mamma don't disciss me there ..k maine yeh dinner organize kiya..as ur n Massi's habit..to praise kids…unko burra lagega..k koi aur bhi ghar main hai..n not presnt there..ll feel insult.n against antiquates also...( she said in high tone )
Rano: Accha meri Maa( she laughed n left)
Rano told whole story to Ram n Tina…But they hadn't caught real reason…Geet was avoiding Maan.
Around Eight Maan n Addi came to Walia Resident….Everybody out to welcome them except Geet.But she was looking him from behind the curtains of her room at first floor
Geet: welcome Maan (she thought n smiled)
Ram introduced his wife n sister in law to Maan n all moved in
Maan: Mr Walia ur house is too beautiful ( he praised it )
Ram: Thanx Mr Khuraana..but u can call me Ram
Maan: Oh even me thinking same u should call me Maan…
All laughed n came in livin area.
Maan: Ram mujhko to patta hi nahi tha k yahan ek kaam k liye aaya hu aur naye project k sath aap jaisi acchi family se bhi mulaakat ho jayegi.
Ram: Its my pleasue Maan.
In between this servent came with cold drinks
Servent : Sir yeh apke liye without ice.(servent gav glass to Maan)
Maan was amazed how servent knew ..he was used to hav drinks without ice after September….coz in changing whether ..cold always caught him easily…so Daddi Maa gav strick instruction not to hav something too cold.
Maan: So impressive Ram ..ur servants know ..I take drinks without ice
Ram: Maan in our previous meeting u had no ice ..so I cam to know.( he gav reason)
But in reality Ram had forgot when he told his family to keep this in my mind. But drinks without ice were served so he thought he might hav asked .
Geet was behind the door looking at Maan ..he was straight in front of her..She looked with thief eye behind the door..but to look him completely she moved her face out as curtains r interrupting Maan's glance .She estimated Maan was busy in conversation so he would not watch her.But Maan again watched some body looking him…far away..But he couldn't say anything …Geet moved backward in fraction of seconds
Even dinner was over but Geet she was looking Maan behind the curtains…According to her strict instructions nobody praised her.Even when Maan was expressing his liking toward everything served.

Part Nine
Maan:What a lovely dinner Tina Ji ..after two days I felt lik home ( he was tto happy)
Tina : My pleasure …
After Dinner they moved to livin area where desert was served.
Tina: Maan lijiye …its special dish
N she gave desert bowl to him
Ram: Maan u know this is Tina's speciality …Dry Fruit Halwa.( he praised his wif)
Maan: It smell so nice…khanne main to accha hoga he…
All laughed .But after three to four bites..Maan started to fell uncomfortable.He placed bowl on table n started to sneeze
Addi noticed that
Addi : Sir what happened ?
Evey body noticed
Rano: Maan r u ok ?
Maan: Ram ..I think this halwa not suited me .I hav allergy with some dry fruits always .
Tina: But I jst added…dry dates n apricots….
But Maan was sneezing
Addi : Sir ko apricot se allergy hai…
Tina: oh my god…what I did..so sorry ( she felt ashamed on)
Maan: Tina ji don't b sorry it happenes ..( he again sneezed)
Ram made a call to doctor…
Ram: doc is coming
Maan: plz Ram its ok..even days back my friend made such a desert n this happened me there
Tina: No Maan we don't know about others ..its our responsibility( she was so sad)
Doc came n he gav same reason.with medicine Maan felt batter.But Ram compelled him to stay with them.
Its was about 10
Maan: Ram don't b formal I m fine….I should go now.
Ram: No Maan we r really feeling ashamed of us.U hav to b here….I asked Addi to check out.
Maan: Check out ? 😛
Ram: Ya check out ..U both gonna stay with us..Addi told me u r here for 4/5 days.
Maan: But Ram aap per itna bhojh padega…
Ram: Bhojh woh kaisa..no no Maan…hum to tarstay rahetay hai …koi aaye hamare pass…coz both of my sons r out of India fro higher studies..
Maan: I really feeling great to b with all of u here ( he was too happy )😃
Tina came with coffee
Tina: Maan agli baar family ko bhi sath le kar aaea …
Maan: family …(he became sad)
Ram n Tina they felt that
Ram: Is any thing wrong..humne kush galat kaha to We r sorry
Maan: No u said nothing wrong..bas bacchon ki yaad aa gayi
Tina: Oh it means u r married…aur backho se durri hum jante hai….per agli baar wife aur kids ko jaroor lay kar aaea.( she said with great spirit )
Maan: Wife…. is not with me..she left me alone.
Ram: I can't understand ?
Maan: She is no more… Cancer k karan she has been expired six months back..I hav 1 years old son ..n One daughter I adopted her…
Tina: so tragic Maan ..But u should mov forward.
Maan: Even she asked me such..She left a letter for me …that I should marry again…But after her no one…(he wiped his tears coming out of eyes) let it go …Don't b sad with me….I has gotten a reason to liv my kids( n he smiled)
Tina: Maan how much pain u hav..but still u smile….apke jitni himmat har kissi main nahi hoti..( she had deep breathe)
After lil conversation they both left saying good nite.Tina came to Rano's room where Geet was also present..n when she told every thing to them..Rano felt really sorry for him…But Geet was such
Geet left for room but still was thinking about Maan . She was restless even at 1 early in the morning movin here n there in room.But at last she left out.
Her feet were movig in same direction where Maan was.She slowly came on the door moved her hand to open it..But again took back…she did same many times... at last she pushed handle slowly.Where Maan was sleeping ..flood lites in the garden were helping her to locate... for what she searched..His face was visible…in fading lite passing through net curtains…She was gazing him without making a noise... without any motion. without blink….First time found him so close.what made her to sit by him …she didn't understand..n slowly moved her hand on forhead to his lips…
Maan: Sangeeta …(he said only this word n held Geet's one hand which was on bed with his)
Geet came in reality what she was doing. She slowly tried to free from Maan's grip but it became more n more.With a jerk she removed her hand..n ran from but in hurry she closed door with her full force ..Maan woke up…n came out of room.He was hearing jingling of her Payals….But not able to locate her.
Maan: yeh kya ho raha hai mere sath…kyo lagta hai..koi mere aas pass hai..per agar hota to sabko patta chalta…(he thought n murmured….)
Next Morning
Geet locked herself in room.Maan was going out with Ram as servent told her…around 9..so she decided to b there inside till then…
Maan was ready n he felt relief from his allergy ..He was moving downstairs when servent came with a tray .
Maan: its breakfast.
Servent: g Sir.
Maan: I m coming downstairs sabke sath he karuga..(he thought it was for him as he was a guest..so family was doing everything to feel him home)
Servent: Sir aap ka to wait ho rahha hai ..yeh to Baby k liye hai…
Maan: Baby ..koi chota baccha bhi hai is ghar main ..(he was amazed no body told me)
Servent: Nahi Sir I mean Geet Madam sabhi unko baby kehtay hai…Rano Madam ki beti..woh to baddi hai…koi 20-21 ki hoggi fir bhi babi kehtay hai…(he laughed)..Aur Sir moody hai…ji karta hai yahan wahan bhagti hai..ji karta hai room main he rehti hai ..jaise aaj..kal se bahar nahi aayi..saara arrangmet bhi khud kia ..dinner se lekar crockery decoration takk..fir room main band ho gayi
Servent moved away ..But Maan was thinking what's reason..If she arranged everything why she was not there in dinner…n even today…why she was behaving so….n He moved downstairs
