Part 19:

An intense current passed through her veins as soon as she felt his warm yet strong arms around her...how he wanted to see her face now...but to his dismay, those beautiful silky locks had already hid her red flushed cheeks...'damn you Arnav for doing this to me...but i promise, i ain't falling for you...never ever...' cursing the person behind her, she quickly collected herself from his 'impassioned' shell to leave for her bedroom after managing to release his collar from Aryan's hold while leaving behind a solicitous Arnav to stare after them with a smile...

He had to control himself as he knew he still didn't get the right to enter her bedroom...slipping his hands into the pockets he took a deep breathe while looking up, quietly requesting the one above to listen to his prayer...to bring them back in his life...he promises, he will take care of them...

Looking all cute in the baby-green sweater vest shirt and black shorts, little Aryan was all excited to go out as he knew whenever mommy dresses him up like that, it means he is going for a tour...'woow is he going with us too???...awesome!!!...it's my day today!!!...la la la la...mommy can I go with him please??'...making up his mind, the excited boy turned himself to the man opening his arms to gesture the person to pick him up in his arms while his mommy was busy finding the keys of her main door...sensing her son's movement in her arms, she was surprised to see Aryan's eagerness to go to Arnav...a bit heartbroken she felt as if she was already losing her son to him...on the other hand, not having the heart to disappoint her son, she unwillingly let him take Aryan in his arms...

Noticing her locking the door with the keys, he pointed out, "what's the point of locking it??...I always found it open...by the way, do you always keep your main door open or it's your sixth sense which makes you keep the door open FOR me??..." while playing with his son's tiny pinkish lips, he decided to tease her...ignoring his last assumption, she justified herself after successfully locking the door behind her, "first of all, i don't keep my main door open considering the fact that I have a little son..." then taking Aryan back in her arms due to the sudden change in mood caused by his teasing, she continued, "and secondly, whenever I happened to leave the door open due to some reasons, YOU always popped up from nowhere...today I kept the door open because Payal and Aka-s-h..." the sound of the next door made her control over her angry-pitch...

Noticing the lady in her early 30's, she brought a smile to her lips, "Namastey bua-ji..."...smiling back at the sweet young girl, Ms. Madhumati replied, "Namastey beta..." then stealing a glance of the dashing person next to Khushi, she inquired, "going somewhere??!!..."...already noticed her stealing that glance, Khushi mumbled, "umm...yess!!...if Payal and Akash..."...interrupting the girl while still checking out the new guy, she assured, "...don't worry about them, I will let them know that Aryan is out with his parents!!!"...her last word did shake both Arnav and Khushi up...

"ummm...jee woh...I mean he is..." while mumbling for an appropriate sentence to get rid of the situation, she was cut in by the smart lady at the door, "Oh!! c'mon sweetheart...I am not blind that I can't relate a son to his father...look?! he exactly resembles him...aww don't be embarrassed...It's ok to go out with your ex-husband...by the way nice to see you guys together..." feeling happy for the couple in front of her, the lady mistook them seeing together as a family...forcing a smile on her face, she lowered her gaze, trying not to get caught but to her bad luck, she did get caught by the person beside her...

BINGO!!!...now were his ears buzzing or she really said that???...why did she say I am her ex-husband??...and why isn't Khushi protesting??...why can't she meet my eyes??...now what are you hiding from me love???...

Whispering in her ear, loud enough to be only heard by her "lemme deal with her first, then I will get back at ya sweetie..."...turning his attention to the lady, he gently smiled, "nice to meet you Mrs...???" correcting the handsome guy, she laughed, "MISS. Madhumati..."...surprised, he decided to try on Khushi, "my goodness!!!!...why didn't you meet me before 'Miss. Madhuuu'...I would have given a second thought before marrying her" throwing a 'gotcha' look at her while wrapping his right hand around her waist, he joked with the lady...enjoying her first meeting with this fun-loving kid, she broke into a laugh, "awww that was so sweet hon...now how I wish I had met you before kHushi" winking at the young man she went along with the joke...

Holding Aryan in her arms, she found it hard for herself to get rid of his touch...trying to remove his hand away from her waist, she finally pinched the back of his palm, making him immediately take away his hand..."ouch" his lips slipped up before noticing the elder lady's eyes on him..."what happened??" she asked in her concerned voice, pretending to unnotice the interactions between the couple facing her...taking the chance to give her a tit for tat, he rested his hand back to its place, this time tightening his grip around her waist, bringing her even close to him before playfully declaring with a smirk, "nothing...just jealous!!!...i mean...she loovves mee!!!..."...pulling her already stuck figure even more closer he finished his words, "right sweetie??"...

Adoring the cute couple, she laughed, "awww sooo cute...and Khushi is not jealous cause she knows I am already taken by this cute one...".....still holding his love with the right hand, he made himself share a five with his son, " way to go man!!!...perfect choice!!!"...fully enjoying the man's sense of humor, she confessed, "...Oh My God!!!...you are too much yaar!!!..."...hearing someone calling by her name, she decided to let them go, "...I got a call...see ya Mr. ...??" ..."Arnav!" he gently answered with regard...smiling at the young man, she continued, "...lovely!!...it was nice meeting you dear..."...slightly bowing his head like a gentleman he replied, "my pleasure ma'm!!!"...impressed by the respect from him she showered her blessings, "...God Bless You kids...May God keep all the evil eyes away from you three...have fun...", winking at the young pair, Ms. Madhumati got back in her apartment before blowing a kiss towards her little boyfriend, "...good bye...cutie pie!!!...**muah**"

Part 20:

After taking Aryan in her arms, she was about to take the baby accessories bag from the back seat when he pulled it out from the other side of the car...after a journey of complete silence for 20 mins, he was too busy to even look at her, still lost in his thought...why is she lying??...

Placing the bag on the centre table, Arnav left for the outside lounge by the swimming pool to answer the cell phone...

"Thanks for coming sweetie..." greeted an enthusiastic Anjali after welcoming her guest with a warm hug...then opening her arms in front of the little master, she eagerly waited to take Aryan in her arms...instantly liking her sweet smile, he cutely smiled before jumping into the arms of his new friend... tightly hugging his chubby figure while leaving a peck on his tiny pinkish lips, she confessed, "awww he is such a cutie pie"...

Smiling at the young lady, she looked at Aman, who was busy in finding a scope to pinch Aryan's red chubby cheeks...finally being able to do his 'pinching' act, he turned back to the smiling lady in front of him, "...Hey!! welcome..." affectionately patting her head, a smiling Aman too greeted his would be 'sister-in-law'...noticing the absence of his friend, he gently excused himself, "...make yourself comfortable yaar...I'll go see what Arnav is doing..."...touched by the brotherly care, she slightly nodded with a smile..."..wait wait Aman..." stopped Anjali, "...please take him with you...I still have to take care of some dishes..." she requested while handling Aryan to her hubby..."...it's ok, I can tak..." before khushi could give an offer, Anjali cut her off, "...sorry darling...you are helping ME with the sweet dish..." stictly instructing khushi with her task, Anjali laughed while releasing her hair from the little one's little grip...

"So, how is life treating you??" asked Anjali while turning off the stove...making herself comfortable on the stool beside counter, she replied, "..not bad...as usual, busy life with son and work"...then placing the condensed milk on the counter top, she continued with her inquiry, "...how can you manage??...I mean when you go to work, who takes care of Aryan..."..."...well in this case, I am lucky to have wonderful neighbours...Mrs. Chopra, my next door neighbour and her sister-in-law, Madhumati bua, they had been a great help to me..." answered Khushi, expressing her gratitute towards the respective women..."...woow!!...you are indeed lucky eh!!" admitted Anjali, whilst openning the refrigerator...curious to know about her task, Khushi asked, "...what are you making for the sweet dish??..."...correcting the lady, Anjali declared, "...not ME!!!...it's YOU hon...so tell me what are you making for the sweet dish??"...completely taken by a surprise, she laughed, "...what??!!!..."

"..Yes boss!!!" saluted Aman, as he decided to obey his little master, who happily instructed his co-player to get the rubber ducky while sitting on his favorite buddy's lap...getting annoyed by his friend, he targetted the ducky right straight towards Arnav, who was sitting on the soft porch swing, left hand wrapped around his son's tummy while with the right one text messaging someone on the phone...'quack', the ducky replied, as it got hit by Arnav's forhead causing the little giggling one to jump out in excitement, expressing him Aman bowed his head, expressing his pleasure...

"Sorry dear...I know I am not supposed to be asking you that but I am helpless!!..." Anjali confessed while making a pouted face...now laughing at her cute face, Khushi continued while resting her chin on her right palm, "...awww...it's ok...so may I know your 'helplessness'??..."...embarrassed, Anjali laughed before settling herself down on the other stool by Khushi, "...actually I don't know how to make sweet dish...I can make the meals o-k-a-y...but not sweet dish...that is something definitely not my cup of tea..." she again confessed..."...aww...then why don't you omit it from the menu??!!..." suggested Khushi ..."...I can't naa...because of the kids" making a cute face, she answered..."kids?!...I mean haan Aryan has got sweet tooth but where is the other kid??" she confusedly ask..."...Aryan ...and Arnav..." referred a giggling Anjali...

"Oyee joker!!...what the hell was that??" Arnav demanded, after being hit by the noisy ducky...ignoring the title given by his friend, Aman reminded, "...Excuse me!!!...wasn't that supposed to be my dialogue???...or should I say 'OUR' dialogue??" pretending to be angry, he took the chubby figure back in his arms, hoping to get support from his new buddy...rolling his eyes, "Arre yaar...I was messaging lavanya, reminding her to postponed my meeting with the USA delegates to next week...and you know this absent-minded girl" Arnav justified before taking his son back in his arms, who was enjoying his short trip from one person to another...

"...my Lord!!...you should see Arnav's face, when he doesn't get to taste anything sweet after a meal...it's hilarious...poor baby!!...that's why I always keep ice-cream in my refrigerator" admiringly admitted the sweet sister, then getting serious Anjali also informed, "...but today I didn't keep any cold stuff cause he has got restrictions as well...he is not allowed to eat ice-cream at night in fact any kind of cold or frozen food, he immediately gets cold...but yeh banda, kabhi bhi meri baat nahin maanta, hamesha apna manmani karta hi rehta hai...no matter how many times, I scolded him after falling sick due to his kiddish stubborness, but he never learnt..." complaining like a typical mother, Anjali technically made Khushi aware of his habits...

'...like father like son...' she thought remembering all the times she craved to taste sweet nutrients during her pregnancy..."..Hey!!...tell me naa...what are you gonna make??..." asked an impatient Anjali, making Khushi come out of her thoughts..."...hmmm...since there is a restriction about 'coldness', how about trying some Jaleebis??..." she offered..."...sounds perfect!!" she approved her offer with a wink Anjali asked, waiting for the ingredients Khushi told her !!!.. okayy...lets try it!!" sharing a high five, both the women started their mission...
