Geet was sitting shattered on the floor.Tears threatened to fall.Her cheeks were red and puffy due to incessant crying.Her eyes had lost their usual charm.Her lips were pale an dher face lost its color.

Why had babaji done this to me?she thought.

Geet looked at the full worked lehenga.No doubt it was beautiful but will her married life be beautiful too??

Maan gathered courage and pushed the door of the ICU to see dadaji for one last time.

Ranjith Singh Khurana,the owner of the Khurana industries was now in his deathbead.He was a gem,a personality who was known all over the world yet he was not happy.

Maan had agreed to marry Geet only because dadaji was in his deathbed and he couldn't stay at peace without fulfilling his last wish.In fact,he hadn't even seen the picture of that so called beautiful girl once,but he was here going to get married to her!!

Maan sat on the stool beside Ranjith's bed.The once majestic man was now battling his pancreatic cancer.Maan gently stroked the old man's head and Ranjith opened his eyes and called out,"Maan beta"

"haan dadaji..mein hi hoon..Hw r u feeling"

"It's over beta.I've always dreamt of u getting married to the person of my choice,but the circumstances were not allowing u to marry the girl I chose!Alas!My final wish is coming true beta.Now I can close my eyes in peace."Ranjith replied much to the annoyance of Maan.

Geet and her family were making their way towards the Life Care Hospitals for her wedding.She had no idea of how the family would treat her or what she had to do.

All she knew was she was getting married to 24 year old Maan Singh Khurana who is going to seize the power of the Khurana Group as their MD and Chairman.The additional fact was he had two siblings-Vikas aged 19 and Anvesha aged 17.

The car pulled up in the lot and they got down the car.

Before they enterd the hospital,Anaya bhabi covered her face with the ghunghat and kissed her forehead with teary eyes.

Vicky and Ann had arrived too.They were standing in the corner of the room away from Maan.

The Handas made their way inside the ICU and after a familiar greeting,Geet was escorted towards Maan.

The plan was that it'd be a simple register marriage as the drs had told dadaji would not have the time to live for elaborate celebrations.

The wedding was over and after the witnesses signed,Dadaji gestured the newly wed couple to come to him.They wnt and got his blessings and dadaji united both their hands and looked at Maan,"beta promise me that u both will stay together in all seven janmas."

Maan looked at Geet whose face was still covered by the ghunghat and back at Dadaji to say,"I promise you dadaji!"

Dadaji smiled through tears at everyone in the room before closing his eyes for eternity..

A month had passed after the wedding and dadaji's funeral.Maan had gone to Sydney to see to some work and completely forgot that he was married to someone!

Geet,on the other hand was also Okay with his ignorant behaviour as she didn't expect anything from him nor from anyone.

She knew that he was returning home after the trip and there was a strange feeling of excitement that he was returning home.

How would it not be when she missed himthis whole month??

Maan walked aimlessly into the house.He looked around it.Every corner reminded him of all the moments he spent with Rags.

Thoughts came to him like photographs.

"Rags,I'm warning u!!!Don't u dare run away from me."

"Catch me if u can Maanu!!"she added with a giggle before Maan chased her around and applied holi colors on her.

In the other corner-

"Wow Yummy Rags!!How can u make such yummy rasagullas!"he asked her licking her fingers.

"Oh Maan!!How can I tell u that I'm a great cook!"she replied before running away to escape the pillow he threw on her.

He walked towards his room and could see-

"I promise u maan I'll be with u forever!"she said with teary eyes comforting a crying Maan.

He placed his laptop bag on his bed and was oblivious to her prescence in the room until his reverie of thoughts were broken by

"Ouch!"
