Chapter 13:Tears started rolling out of Khushi's eyes. Arnav couldn't bear to see her cry. He tried to comfort her and reached out for her shoulder, "khushi..." he was cut off by Khushi who snapped away from Arnav. "chooye mat hume!" Khushi said as furious as a tiger. Arnav was shocked, he had never seen Khushi that angry. She looked at Arnav dissapointedly with eyes full of tears- "Nikhil ji sach keh rahe the..." ASR then took over Arnav, he grabbed Khushi and rushed her down the stairs. La, Akash, Mami, Mama, Nani, Anjali, and most of all Nikhil was shocked. When everyone started asking questions, Arnav just replied with "Mujhe jo teek laga woh maine kiye, ab iske bare main mujhe aur koi saval nahi chahiye." Lavanya started yelling at Khushi "Maine tumhe to upni dost mana tha, aur tumne mujhe dosti ka yeh tofa diya?" She ridiculed Khushi. Arnav felt weird and couldnt stand Khushi to be insulted or yelled at. "Isme khushi ki koi galti nahi hai." "Ha tum to aisa hi bologe, isne tumhe upne jaal main phasa diya hai." Lavanya replied. Arnav grabbed La and dragged her up the stairs where their 'marriage' took place. Everyone followed and saw the sight. Arnav nor Khushi had to explain anything any further. Lavanya stormed out of the house. Anjali tried to handle the situation. "Teek hai hum khushi ke ghar phone karke unse baat karlete hai." Arnav grabbed Khushi and took her to what was now 'their' room. Khushi sat down and arnav could take it anymore. Khushi was still crying. He went to the study and started doing some work. It was the only way he could stop thinking about what happened. But he HAD to prove himself innocent to Khushi. He just then was hit by the idea that maybe his and Nikhil's conversation was recorded in his webcam since he had just finished a conference when Nikhil came in that day. He checked and BINGO, the whole conversation was recored. Even the part where Arnav confessed his love for Khushi. Arnav downloaded the CD and watched it. He knew he had to cut the part of his confession as he just thought he didnt mean what he said. He edited the CD and made another copy. He threw the original in the dustbinAt dinner, Khushi was feeling awkward so Anjali and Nani tried to make her feel better.
"Are Khushi bitya, hum ka soch rahe the, ki kal tum aur Anjali bitya tumhare liye sari kharidne jaye. Woh ab to tumhari shaadi ho chuki hai toh phir ab to tum sari hi pehno gi?" nani suggested.
Khushi couldnt respond, she still couldn't believe that she was married. After dinner Khushi went up to 'her' room and sat on the balcony. Arnav walked in and said "Khushi, mujhe tumse baat karni hai." Khushi responed- "Lekin mujhe aapse koi baat nahi karni hai." "Khushi dekho.." he started again trying to control his anger. "Humne kaha na, HUME AAPSE KOI BAAT NAHI KARNI HAI." Arnav lost it and ASR took over. He carried Khushi to his room dropped her on the bed. He looked at Khushi who seemed very frightened. "Daro mat, main tumhe kuch nahi karunga." he said as he slipped in the revised CD into his dvd player in his room. Khushi was left speechless. Arnav the man he hated, saved him from being practically raped the other day, and he saved her life from being ruined today and all Khushi did was yell at him. Khushi got up and started crying. "Im sorry Arnav ji" was all she could manage. She ran to the balcony and started crying even harder.Arnav thought she needed some time alone.
It was 1 in the morning and Khushi was still in the balcony crying. Arnav who couldnt sleep because she was crying, finally got up and went to the balcony.
Khushi noticed him. "Arnav ji, im sorry ki maine aapko galat samja. Aapne hamare liye itna kiya aur humne..."
"Khushi, please rona band karo."
Khushi didnt stop, "aapne humare liye, hume us girehuwe insaan se bachane ke liye upne pyaar ko chod diya"
Arnav couldnt believe it, did she really think he loved Lavanya.
"zayar si baat hai ki aap humse pyaar nahi karte hai, to phir hum aapko is bandhan main bandh nahi karna chate, hum kal hi aapke saath divorce file karane ke liya ayenge thaki ap phirse Lavanya ji ke saath reh sake aur.."
Arnav was heartbroken, "aur?"
"Aur aap khush rahe." Arnav was shocked, did she really care about his happiness so much?
"Khushi, ye saari baten kal bhi ho sakti hai, abhi ke liye tum so jao." Arnav said to Khushi
