Part 19

The Refusal???

In the early Morning..

Cornelia's palace

Agatha: Raajkumaari ji!! Uthiye!! Bhor hone waali hai!! Raat ka akhiri peher ab bas beetne hi waala hai! Uthiye na!!

Cornelia:[still in her land of dreams] Kyon subah subah..chilla raho ho??? Main to kehti hun.. tum bhi so jaao!

Agatha: Aaj aapka vivaah hai!! Jaldi uthiye!! Aapko taiyaar karna hai!!

Cornelia: Vivaah?? [getting up from her slumber] Vivaah toh tab hoga na jab Sandrocottos vivaah ke liye haan kahega!

Agatha: Arthat?? Aur waise kal raat aap kahaan gayi thi??

Cornelia: samasya ka samaadhaan dhoondhne.. aur vo mujhe mil bhi gaya!! Apni aisi buraai ki hai ki is duniya ka koi moorkh bhi mujhse vivaah karne ke baare mein nahin soch sakta!!

Agatha: Vo sab to thik hai!! Parantu… Greek shaadiyon mein vivaah se mana kaise karte hain.. ye toh unhe pata hi nahin… vo kaise mana karenge! Vo bhi vivaah ke samay!

Cornelia: Un sab ki chinta tum mat karo.. Maine sab kuch likh diya hai us patra mein!

Meanwhile, In Chanakya's Room, where Chanakya was meditating, closing his eyes!

Shashank: Aapne bulaaya tha Acharya?

Chanakya: Haan! Maine jo kaarya tumhe aur Mehir ko diya tha..vo ho gaya?

Shanky: Ji Acharya! Amatya ko humne bandhi bana liya hai! Unpar aathon peher humaare sainikon ki nazar rehti hai!

Chanakya: Parantu Dhyaan rahe Shashank! Hum Amatya ko Bharat.. koi aparadhi samajh kar nahin.. balki Bharat ka Amatya Prmaukh ke naate le jaa rahein hain..

Shanky: Ji Acharya!! Aap chinta mat kijiye! Unhe kisi bhi tarah ka koi kasht nahin hoga!

Chanakya: Sadhu! Ab jaao aur jaa kar dekho.. Samrat kya kar rahein hain… Unhe vivaah ke liye tum hi taiyaar karoge!

Shanky: Jo aagyaa….[departs]… [after departing, on his way to CGM's palace] Main hi kyon? Ek to waise bhi humaare priya Samrat,… ye vivaah nahin karna chahte! Ab agar maine kuch bola to kya pata ??? waise bhi krodh mein Chandu kuch bhi kar sakta hai!!Main to gaya!! Dakshita!!! Ab to tumse agle janm mein hi miloonga! Kripya kar ke agle janam mein ek saadhaaran kanya hi bane rehna!! Tumhaare chakkar mein to bina kisi se vivaah kiye hi mar raha hoon!!

Dakshita [who was passing from nearby]: Sach kehte hain log!! Adhik bolne se insaan paagal ho jaate hain! Tum toh ho gaye!! [giggled and went away]

In CGM's room, Shanky reaches there. And surprisingly sees CGM in a very relaxed mood!

Shanky: [seeing no one else around in the room] Chandu!! ?

CGM: hunh??? Oh Shashank!! Aao aao!! Vahaan kyon khade ho!! Aao aur mere paas baitho!

Shanky: [in his mind] Lagta hai… dukh se paagal ho gaya hai!!

CGM: kya soch rahe ho?? Aao!!

Shanky: Tum to pehle se hi taiyaar lag rahe ho! Ye achanak se kya hua?? Vivaah na karne ka man badal diya?

CGM: ye lo!!! [giving him the letter and explaining him the whole situation… including the first meeting with Cornelia as Helen] Ab bolo!! Kya kehte ho??

Shanky: Hey prabhu!!! Ye Greece ki raajkumaari ko to main bahut kam samajh raha tha!! Socha tha.. ki din bhar apne saaj sajje ke alaava aur kisi bhi karya mein ruche nahin hoti hogi!! Parantu…Raajkumaari Cornelia to bilkul alag nikli!!!

CGM: shayad is liye kyonki… ve bachpan se ek raajkumaari nahin rahin hai! Jab paida huyi to Greece ki ek aam ladki ke taur par!! Hain na?? [smiles]

Shashank: Bilkul teri tarah?? Hai na??[gives a naughty look, seeing which CGM feels a bit reluctant hearing at this.. Shashank notices this and changed the topic] Are par kya lagta hai?? Ye yuddha kala kahaan se sikhi hogi??

CGM: Kya matlab kahaan se sikhi hogi?? Raajkumaari hai!! Ek baar kehne par… koi bhi taiyaar ho jaayega.. sikhaane ke liye!

Shashank: Nahin!! Nahin hoga!! Greece mein mahilaaon ka yuddha kalaaon ka sikhna.. acchi baat nahin maani jaati! Main to suna hai ki yahaan ye ek dandniya apraadh hua karta tha pehle!

CGM: To kya?? Seleucus ne sikhne ki anumati de di hogi!

Shanky: Mujhe nahin lagta bandhu!! Tum to jaanto ho ki Seleucus kitna rudhivaadi hai.. Greek manyataaon ko lekar! Vi aisa nahin kar sakta!! Avashya hi kisi aur ne aisa kiya hoga!! Par kaun??

CGM: Khud Raajkumaari se hi puch lena!

Shanky: To kya tu ye vivaah karega?? Ya nahin??? Aur agar nahin to… mana kaisa karega.. taaki Raajkumaari ki garima bhi barkarar rahe??

CGM: Hmmm…. Jaisa ki ab spasht hai! Raajkumaari itni bhi moorkh nahin… Unhone ne "Helen" ke naam se likhe huye is patra mein sab kuch bataaya hai!!

Shanky: Kya?? Mujhe bhi bata!! Main bhi thoda sa apna gyaan bhandaar bharoon!!! Apni buddhi prakhar karoon!

CGM: Gyan Bhandar???? Aur tu??? Hahaha..accha uphaas karta hai!!

Shanky: Bata na!!

CGM: dekh!! Is patra mein likha hai ki vivaah ki vedi par.. pehle Seleucus ko kaha jaayega!! Ki vo apni putri mujhe saupe! Is dauran vo kuch ahem paanch gun bhi saupega apni putrid ke… uske baad mujhse pucha jaayega ki main uski putrid ko vivaah mein sweekaar karta hun ya nahin!! Aur mujhe Greek baasha mein uttar dena hoga! Agar haan, to kehna hoga : "Neh" aur agar nahin.. to kehna hoga "Naah".. agar neh keh diya.. vivaah sampan ho jaayega… agar Naah keh diya toh, vivaah usi samay tut jaayega… aur phir mujhse kabhi bhi vo vivaah karne ko dobaara nahin bola jaayega!! Aur agar main mana bhi kar doon!! To main ye keh kar Raajkumaari ki garima aur samman bacha sakta hoon ki… main swayam ye vivaah nahin karna chahta! Jo ki ab amatya bhi humaare paas hain!! Humein unki koi shart maanne ki avashyakta nahin!

Shanky: Ooohhh!!!! To ye hai.. vivaah ki rasm! "naah" aur "neh" kaafi had ta.. ek jaise hi sunnne mein lagte hain na??

CGM: Haan… mera matlab "Neh".. waah mera sikha hua pehla Greek shabd!

Shanky: waise tune bataaya nahin ki tu ye vivaah karega ya nahin??

CGM: [seeing the sun rise] Chal!! Vivaah ka samay ho gaya hai!! Humein vahaan jaana hoga!

Shanky: parantu mere prashn ka uttar to de! Vivaah karega ya nahin???

CGM: Chalo!!![smiled and went out of the door!]

At the place of Marriage..

CGM entered in his "Indian clothes". Never had the Greece people seen a greek marriage with the groom wearing Indian Clothes! CGM feeling, Completely "fish out of water"… but thankfully… his Indian friend, Shashank, and other Indian people were there to make him feel less uncomfortable! Still, every eye was fixed on him, as no one had ever seen such a handsome groom! The way he was walking with confidence was resembling a lion.. and the spark of his face was uncomparable.. CGM took his place near the Greek priest.. Soon after sometime, Cornelia entered with her face covered with the veil. She was wearing a grand white gown with maroon capes and pieces of clothes around her wrist and waist lined with gold embroidery! Though her face was not much visible to everyone.. But still, no one could even move their eyes off her.. Not even CGM! She was walking in full confidence giving the proof of her being a royal person! Maids were showering petals on her all the way.. Some were handling her long cape.. while some were throwing flower petals on her way! Soon she also took her place near CGM. She felt a bit nervous as she knew that the pronunciation of the two words "naah and neh" were confusing and she was afraid of CGM telling the wrong word! one wrong word could change her life!

Soon, the marriage ceremony was started, Seleucus stood and took the vow of not only giving his daughter but also five qualities of her along with herself! They were:

Trust

Dedication

Love

Faithfulness

Soul

After that, CGM was asked the main question! The question which was the most awaited part of the marriage! At this moment, Cornelia's heart beat could be heard clearly!

Cornelia: [in mind] koi bhool mat karna sandrocottos!!! Ye mere jeevan ka sawaal hai!

CGM was quiet.. He was again asked the same question….

And CGM said……..😉
