The kiss became a burning memory in her thoughts in the days that followed. She remembered how hot and passionate yet tender his lips had felt against hers and how her whole body had tingled with reaction. It was a bold and thrilling experience, something she had never felt before, yet something in his kiss spoke of tenderness even vulnerability. Was it his words, seeking her permission? She wouldn't have denied him anything even if she had been able to talk because nothing had mattered but the need that the earth shattering experience should go on. When he drew away and thanked her, her eyes had turned moist with the profoundness of it.

As days passed to week she began to wonder it all that was just her imagination. Her body tingled in anticipation each time he came near her, each time his eyes focused on her lips. Yet he would just shift his eyes away whenever she caught his eyes on her. Why didn't he kiss her again? Had she disappointed him that he didn't want to repeat the experience?
