NAINTARA'S TALE-III(past)

Naintara stood up determined.No matter what,she would get her princess back in her life..

She walked to the car and looked back for the last time at the Hostel building illuminated in the evening light..

It was half an hour since she was stuck in the traffic..

Her Geet was alive and she was happy about it..

But why had badi ma and bade pa lied to her??

Why had they kept Geet as a secret???

If they hadn't known that Geet survived then why didn't they take any efforts by asking the police or a detective agency??

Millions of thoughts zoomed in her mind and she knew the answer to all these questions by only talkin to them..

"So?"badi ma asked her.

They were sitting in the middle of the living room for the evening tea..It was their daily routine and today badi ma could clearly see smething was bothering Tara..

She looked up at them and slowly asked,"Why did u hide it from me?"

Badi ma nd pa were confused.

"Pardon me?"he asked.

"I said Why did u hide it from me that Geet is alive?"she replied.

Badi ma gasped and pa looked as shocked as her.But slowly they recovered and his face broke into a sly grin and then slowly laughter..

Tara was shocked!She should have known that they both were the reason for everything when they legally adopted her(tara)..

"what would u have done sweety??Gone to look for ur lost sister?"he asked inching closer to her.

He stood back straight and then said,"U know,Rajesh has fathered one little brat!"

Tara gasped..

"You bast**d!"she screamed and went close to hit him and he caught her wrists and twisted them.

"Not so soon Ms.Kashyap!"he hissed.

"Chodo mujhe...mera naam Naintara Handa hai Kashyap Nahi"she squealed.

He immediately let go off her hand and laughed"Too bad Tara..U know This was the only reason we adopted u!"he said..

He turned back facing his back to her and began,"bachpan se eventhough I was the oldest,everyone adored Rajesh..Wherever he was he was the trendsetter..I shrugged it off thinking maybe he was younger and smaller than me in size but as we grew up,it was the same still..While both of us were equally handsome and charming,people took a liking to him more than me..

"I was already burning cos of that and to add fuel to that he married Renuka,my first love"he paused causing Tara to gasp.

"And I hated Renu for stealing Raj away from me!"badima joined.

Tara felt her world spinning..Bade pa looked at her and continued.

"We were already filled with rage and we wanted to avenge them and thats how we came in contact wit Mrs.Malini Rathod,ur mother's sister, who hated the couple as much as us!

"So was the master plan..We paid some men to sneak into ur house and cut the wire from the cylinder to the stove so that the gas leaks..When the cylinder burst,no one would be able to find out if it was a planned murder or a normal accident..

"We had planned to kill all of u but Lady luck was not with us..You little brats were alive!!

"Malini offered to Take care of Geet while we decided to play our cards right and...Bingo!!We adopted u and all the property of ur dad was under ur name and in the next 5 years it came under us as u became 18!"he finished.

Tara was in tears..They were cheated deceived and...betrayed.

She voiced back,"I will make sure u get punished by law!!"

The room echoed with laughter,"Sweety,where wil u get ur prrof??"badi ma asked..

(PRESENT}

Tara burst into tears as Dev hugged her tight..After the confrontation she'd run to him and they had gotten married immediately!

He said,"sshh...baby,stop crying..We know that Geet is safe now!"

"No Dev,she was safe not now after all your brother had done!"she spat..

"Maan..."a whisper echoed the silent room as all heads turned to see Savitri Devi stand there with a tear stricken face..

Savitri had decided to give Maan the family kangan(bangle) to him for his to-be-spouse when she heard Tara saying 'Geet meri behen hai Maan'

Of course Savitri knew the truth but what had caused her bahu to say so..

She stopped at the doorway and heard Maan confessing what he had done and Naintara reliving the past..

She held her heart and,"DADIMAA!!"was the only sound she heard before everything turned pitch black..
