"Let's go out Nupur, after coming here in NewYork all u went to whether to university or coming back home." Let's go somewhere to party u know, where me n Mayank usually go with our friends." Pia offered with great excitement.
"Ermm, No na Pia, Tumhe pata hain na I don't like partying much aur waise bhi m good here. U both go n enjoy ok!" Nupur said denying to go anywhere.
"Oh! Common on Nupur it's been two weeks u came here and still tum ab tak kahin bahar nhi gayi hamare sath." Pia complained making a sad face.
"Gosh! GF you are too much alright! Whom u are asking to come with us han! Woh jo hamare sath tab bhi kahin party karne nhi gayi jab ki woh actually tumse milne ayi thi 3saal pehle aur ab toh impossible hain as now she had come for study purpose. So there is no chance for any party or so called enjoyment ohk! U never know if u would have been able to see her face even if she wasn't selected here in NewYork university for study.huh!" saying bitterly with a glint of taunting Mayank concentrated on his PS5 which he was playing from the past half an hour while pia was trying to convince Nupur to go with them.
"Oh really! *Mr.-i-know-everything* I guess u know me pretty well huh!" Not being able to talk his taunting Nupur replied more bitterly.
"Of course *Miss-let-me-be* I know u way too much. Samjhi!" pointing a finger Mayank turned towards her so that now he can face her.
"Really!!! Then Mr.Stupid Sharma let me clear ur assumption ok! U don't know me at all." replying this she also pointed her finger towards him.
Enjoying her rising temper he held her finger n come more closer n said, "Oh ya! Then prove me wrong. Come and party han!"
"Ha ha nice try ok! U think m gonna fall for ur trap?" moving backwards to create some distance she made her finger free from his hold.
"Ah han no Missy I know u have already fallen for me ohk!" letting go off her finger he replied in a charming way with raising one eye brow he made a u-r-trapped face.
"Just shut ur filthy mouth ohk. I don't wanna hear a word from it and han m not going anywhere with u. u got that!" narrowing her eyes Nupur replied making a u-can't-trap-me face.
"Really! Who even asked u to do so...come on GF we will go n have a superb time let her be the way she wanted. Hamesha Akeli!! " getting annoyed with her don't-force-me nature he stated holding Pia's hand almost dragging her out with him.
"Oh! Common on Nupur lets go na we will have fun n I want to go with my best friend u know." still holding Mayank's hand Pia tried once more time to convince her.
Leaving her hand n looking with a fake hurt look he said, "OMG! Gf u have hurt my feelings yaar I though ke tum aur main best friends hain, phir hamare beech mein yeh kahan se a gayi han!"
"Shut up Mayank now stop all these melodrama." Lightly hitting his soulder with her fist she added more,"aur waise bhi tumne suna hi hoga ke 'Dushman ka dushman dost hota hain' so I though ke in our case it would be.. Dost ka dost, Dost but here this is deffo total opposite! Yeha toh ban gaya hain...d-o-..."
"Dost ka dost total DUSHMAN right." Saying in union Mayank n Nupur both burst into laughter n even Pia also joined them..
"No seriously! Pia m not feeling going out n even its time for Shilpa aunty to come also so, I will spend some time with her then. Tum dono jao n enjoy karo thik hain." Nupur replied them assuring.
"U sure?" Still feeling bad to leave her alone Pia asked.
"Ofcourse m 100% sure, see u then bye" turning her towards the exit Nupur stated.
"Ok then Bye! Let's go Mayank." making a sad face she turned towards Mayank who was already at door step.
"Ya I was saying u this from the starting ok ab hurry up my mood had already been spoiled enough." Saying the last bit looking straight towards Nupur he went along with Pia.

"Enjoying weather!" Of course with ur loneliness." Mayank snapped entering into the terrace and standing beside Nupur who was gazing at the deep sea which was brightening in the rising full moon.
"What's ur problem Mayank?" without turning her face Nupur asked annoyed.
"What's my problem? What's ur problem Nupur?! Why u hate me this much han!" not being able to hold his though he finally asked.
"Who said I hate you? I definitely don't hate you. It can be I don't like you much that is it!" she replied calmly totally showing disinterest to continue this topic.
"Ya right! Waise bhi I don't think it even mattered." Taking her hint to stop this topic he replied being more annoyed.
"Ya I know it never did. Like always." Saying the last bit in lower voice she sighed.
"U know what I actually love the way we both hate each other. As you know m used to girls loving me all the time n u r exception!" killing the awkward silence which prevailed them from the past several minutes he said to lighten up the atmosphere covering the emotional turmoil happening in his heart.
"Oh really!" Nupur asked with a mocking glint in her eyes but totally being grateful as he avoided discussing their previous topic.
"Ya really!" Mayank snapped now smiling a bit.
"Huh! Good for u Mr.-obsessed-with-ownself-Sharma. Good night!" Giving a light smile she left from there.
"Good night Miss-run-away-Bhushan." Sighing he was now standing holding the metal railing n facing the same deep sea when a voice came n make him come out from his trail of thoughts.
"why u trouble her so much Mayu?" Shilpa aunty asked coming to stand beside her son n make him to face her.
"I don't trouble her Ma. It's just her running away n avoiding tendency I hate." Making her sit in the nearby chair he sat on the floor placing his head on her lap.
"U know na she is like this then let her be. Usse thora waqt do, don't push her always." Stroking his hair softly she said with an understanding n affectionate voice.
"I m not pushing her Ma, I just want her to open up u know! The way she is with u n Pia. I mean I want her to talk with me the same way she did with both of u. Ap dono ke sath normally baat karti hain toh Mujhse kyun nhi?"
"Aww, Mayu u know her right. Even last time when she came she took so much time to get gel with me too. It's her nature u know, u just need to give her some time beta." Shilpa Aunty replied with an utmost soft affectionate tone.
Time! Ya time I guess that is what I m giving her from the last time she left n in those 3yrs when she deliberately avoided coming here even to meet with Pia too. I just don't know how much more time she needed." sighing he said.
"Ok ab itna bhi mat socho m sure soon she will be ok with u too. Abhi bhttt raat ho gayi hain so go to bed and get some sleep alright." Spreading her hand's over Mayank's head affectionately she made him stand up.
"Good night Ma." Wishing her with a warm hug he went to sleep which was occupied with many tangled thoughts and emotions nowadays or god knows from when!
"Good night beta." One day she will talk to u may be after that she won't be able to talk to anyone like that rather than u with this though Shilpa aunty went to her room making a quick prayer for all of them with a subtle smile lingering on her face...
