Part 6

Geet gets irritated and sits down waiting for him watching television... She calls up Maan but his phone is switched off... Watching television she soon gets bored... She makes a straight face and goes towards her room... When Rano asks her to have dinner, she says she is not hungry and is tired so is going to sleep...

But as soon as she enters her room, she is surprised and shocked to what she sees...

Geet (to herself): I guess I have entered someone else's room... But nahi yaar ye to mera hi room hai... But who has decorated it so nicely???

At the same time Maan comes along with the birthday cake...

Maan: Happy Birthday to u... Happy Birthday to u... Happy Birthday dear Mishti... Happy Birthday to u...

Geet: Maan... This is beautiful... Its indeed the most beautiful decoration I have ever seen... U did it all by urself???

Maan (smirks): Nahi Madame, khud Shahrukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor aaye the aapke room ko decorate karne...

Geet (hitting playfully on Maan's arm): Tumko abhi bhi mazaak soojh raha hai na... But it's beautiful... I loved it sooo much...

Maan: So let's then cut the cake and have the yummy dinner... I have ordered your favourite dishes...

Geet: Wow... Candle light dinner... Maan pata hai mera kitna mann tha candle light dinner par jaane ka... I always dreamt of having a nice candle light dinner with someone special...

Maan: Oops... Phir to maine tumhara dream spoil kar diya...

Geet: Nahi Maan... U r very special to me... U r the most special friend I ever had and will ever have...

She looks at the food already served at the table...

Geet: But Maan, u like all the continental food and this is all Punjabi khana which u don't enjoy... Lets order something continental...

Maan: Geet its okay... Lets njoy what u like on ur birthday... Aaj ka dinner tumhare liye hai and I will have the same... Mishti k saath waise bhi khana khane ka maza hi kuch aur hai...

Meanwhile somewhere on the road, there was a very severe accident... A car collided with a truck...

The people gathered around the car... The car was severely smashed...

In the Handa House, Maan and Geet were enjoying the dinner...

Maan: Mishti, when do u plan to sleep by the way today???

Geet: Maan, apne birthday waale din kaun jaldi sota hai... I have no plans to sleep the entire night... But I have something cooking up in my mind...

Maan (pretending to be scared): I am scared of ur thoughts Mishti... Please tell em whats in ur mind soon before I get some weird ideas...

Geet: Maan mujhe abhi Ben and Jerry Belgium Dark Chocolate Ice cream khaani hai...

Maan: Kya??? Tum pagal ho gayi ho kya??? Its almost 11 at night... Aaj seriously bahut late hai... Lets go for the ice cream tomorrow...

Geet: Mr. Maan Singh Khurana, this is Geet Handa ordering u on her birthday to take her for the ice cream treat...

Maan: Yes ma'am... As u say... Chalo lets go...

Maan and Geet drive to the Ice cream palour and have an ice cream together... They reach back home to find the main door of the Handa house locked...

Geet: Maan is this also a part of the surprise??? Y is the door locked???

Maan: Mishti, I have absolutely no clue about it... I don't know y is it locked... But we can always find our way in through the window behind... Infact I find that way to get in the house more interesting...

Geet: Maan please yaar iss time mazaak nahi... How can I get in through the window wearing this dress...

Maan (making an innocent face): Kyun ab ismein kya problem hai??? I don't find anything strange...

Geet (smacks him on his arm): Haan haan... Y will you find it strange... U will get a view of the "things" that should not be seen...

Maan (smirks): Ohh common Mishti... U know na... I am such an innocent boy...

Geet: Yeah right... Its only me who knows how innocent u r... So I am not taking that way to get into the house... By the way amidst all this I forgot to actually think where mom has gone at this hour...

Maan: Mishti, she must have got some work... Or she must b at the Khurana mansion having her gossip session with Daadima...

Geet: Yeah right... So how do we get in..??? Lets go to ur place and then get mom back...

Maan suddenly shouts: Nooo... I mean Mishti please yaar andar chalte hain through the window... I promise main aisa waisa kuch nahi dekhunga (and he winks at her)...

Geet: Promise... First u will get in and then pull me up...

Maan: Okay... As my princess says...

They both get inside through the window with Maan going in first and then pulling Geet up... Although they had been in through the window before but Geet had always been dressed in jeans and t-shirt... But as expected Maan had been a true gentleman not making his girl his friend conscious...

Now they get inside and are all laughing together... Just wen they were about to enter their den, her room...

Maan: Mishti... Wait...

Geet: What now???

Maan: Now that its only 15 minutes left for ur birthday to end and we have to wait one entire year for this special day to come back again... I have one more surprise for u dear...

Geet: Awww... U r so sweet Maan... Now what is that?? Jaldi batao... I cant wait anymore...

Maan: Just a minute Mishti... Come inside the room just after a minute...

Geet enters the room in a minute and is surprised to see her room in dark... Its just the moonlight from the sky enlightened her room... Her bed is beautifully decorated with flowers and balloons and Maan is sitting on the bed with a remote in his hand...

Geet: So whats next buddy???

Maan: Mishti, come on here... Let's have some more fun... Its movie time dear...

Geet: Maaannn... "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai"... Its my favourite...

Maan: I know it Mishti... I knew u would love it... So now grab ur popcorn basket here and come join me for the movie date (winks at her)...

Geet joins Maan and both enjoy for the movie together...

While watching the movie...

Geet: Thanks Maan for making the day so special for me... It was indeed one of the best birthdays I ever had... Thinking of it u have made every birthday of mine so special and different... I wish I could celebrate my birthday every moth...

Maan: Yeah right Geet... So that I have to leave behind everything, my studies and my work to make the day special for u... Very demanding it is Mishti...

Geet (smirks): So what... U always have to pay a price for being my best buddy...

Maan (smiles): Anything for u... Anything which makes u smile... And I will do anything to make my Mishti keep smiling because this is what which makes my day...

Geet smiles and both get back to enjoy the movie... Gradually Geet falls asleep on her bed... Maan covers her up with a quilt... Keep away the popcorn basket... Switch off the lights and get down the staircase to go back to Khurana Mansion... He looks around the house and doesn't find Rano there... He wonders where she is so late at night but shoves away the thoughts and closing the door goes back to his home...

Hey friends...

Here I am again updating after a long time I know... I have been a little irregular in updating but the studies and final exams keeping me busy... I still have exams going on but this part I did write gradually and finally able to complete it... I will get back into a schedule just after my exams get over and will be a regular girl to give u updates... Till then I hope I am forgiven...
