Shaadi Ki Kahaani part 2 pg. 4

Akaash did exactly what he was instructed to do, after Arnav took an unconscious Khushi to Shantivan. Akaash told khushi's family everything about shayem, and how Arnav did this to save di's relationship. Whilst shayem was explaining this to the now flustered and shaken Luxminagar house, the phone rang, and buaji picked it up. "Meh Arnav Singh Raizada bol raha hoon, aab taak Akaash neh tau apko sab kuch battahi diya hoga (Its Arnav singh Raizada speaking, i know Akaash has told you everything by now) "hay reh naand kisore, yeh tumne kya kardiya, aree aur humari Khushi ki zindagi kitni kharab karogeh tum, usko chor do bitawa, kyun ki tumne uss seh shaadi) ( what have you done?, how much more are you going to make khushi's life hell, why did you marry her?) "agar apki Khushi neh apni adaon se mere jiju koh behkaya naa hota, tau yeh din nahi ataa" (yeah well if your Khushi didn't lure in my JiJu, then this day wouldn't of come) "aur yeh baat kisi ko bhi nahi pata chalini chaiyeh, siruf apko, mujeh, Khushi, Akaash aur naani ko pata hai, aur iss bareh mein saheym jiju seh koi baat nahi karega, aur fikr maat Karein, yeh bhi ek contract hee hai, mujeh Khushi seh shaadi karne meh ko interest nahi hai, iss ke liye usko paise milenge, kyun keh meh apni di keh liye kuch bhi kar sakta hoon" (and nobody should know about this, only you, Akaash, Khushi, I and naani know about this, and nobody will talk about this to shayem jiju, and don't worry, this is a contract too, i have no interest in marrying Khushi, she will get paid, because I can do anything for my Di)

Arnav held a weak Khushi in his arms as he entered Shantivan, he was however surprised why no one was bombarding him with questions, he glanced at Naani, who nodded at him, informing him that she has told everyone a fake story as too why you have married Khushi, and we'll get our stories straight tomorrow. Arnav was relieved at this, as answering several questions was the last thing he wanted now. He took her upstairs, first he headed for the guest room, but then realised that if Khushi was to wake up, she would create a huge dilemma, and the contract would be out, so instead he made a swift decision to take her to his room, he felt awkward putting her down on his bed, he suddenly had a wakeup call as to how serious this matter actually was, he just married the girl he can't stand to look at he thought, and then he had a flashback of the time where Khushi had a rant at him about the importance of marriage. He felt guilty. He felt guilty because he knew that marriage was khushi's dream, the perfect marriage, and what did he just do an hour ago? Shattered that dream for her. Arnav never felt this for anyone before, especially not a girl, but he wasn't going to let his sister's life fall into pieces again.

He tried splashing light droplets of water on Khushi's face, but it was no use, she was too tired and faint, he eventually stopped trying. He let her lay on his bed, as he went to lie on the sofa on the other side of his room, and summon up the events of the evening.

It was midnight, 2.00am when Khushi finally gained perception, and realised what this man had done. "Arnav singe Raizada! Aapki himmat kaise hui, yeh apnee kya kardiyaa, apko sharaam nahi ayee?" (How dare you, do you realise what you have done? Don't you feel the slightest bit ashamed?) "mujeh tumse shaadi karne meh koi diljasbi nahi hai, liken tum, tumhaari himmat kaise hui, mere jiju ko behkaane ki, TUMHE sharaam nahi aye?" (Don't think I'm interested in marrying you Khushi kumari gupta, how dare you lure my jiju into your looks, don't YOU feel ashamed) "humne aapko pehle bhi kaa tha, keh hamaari koi ghalti naahi hai, don't you feel the slightest sympathy for me? I've just found out the foul truth about my fianc, how do you think I feel? Do you even know what marriage means, it's meant to be the happiest day of a girl's life, this sindoor, which you threw in my maang, this manglesutre which you stuck around my neck? Do you know the value of this Mr Arnav Singh Raizada? Khushi was weeping now, and Arnav just stood there and watched, remorse running through him. "This is the limit now, that's enough, you can't marry me for your own purposes, and I'm leaving this instance, and will tell everyone the truth!" Khushi was about to leave the room when Arnav grabbed her wrist, stopping her. How dare he... she thought, she tried releasing herself, but it was no use, the tall, strong, muscular physique was no match for her weak, petite, fragile one. In one sharp move he pulled Khushi back towards him, her feeble body clashed into his well built one, "you will do no such thing, one, because this is your fault, if you hadn't lu."Arnav stopped, and carried on with his second point "...and two, everyone knows that we are married, but only your family, Akaash and naani know about the truth as to why I have married you, so if you have the slightest concern for my Di, bearing in mind what she has done for you, you will keep your mouth shut, and carry on with this contract" Khushi looked up into Arnav's eyes, startled, that everything was a contract for this man, and no feelings what so ever. Looking at the tears rolling down khushi's eyes, Arnav released her from the heat of his chest, he did it again, he thought, he made her cry once again, he hurt her once again. Damn.

Oh no, she was going again, in and out of consciousness, was she fainting again, or is this again one of her tricks so she can go, he got his answer when his wife fell towards the glass table, inches away, as Arnav's hand stopped her from hitting the glass, acting a barrier between her soft scalp and the hard sharp harmer, he felt a protectiveness towards her, like she was...his. Like she was his property now, and he had full right on her, his haq, and that he would shield her. Why am I feeling this? I'm not actually married? Why?

These were the questions that bugged Arnav for the rest of the night. The next morning there was a knock on the bedroom door, and Arnav opened it. Anjali was standing before him, excited than ever "Di...you, any work?" "Oh Arnav, cant I just come in here without work, okay first tell me, where's Khushi?" Arnav looked around the room but Khushi was nowhere to be found. Oh damn, she hasn't gone has she, she's going to ruin the who... his thought was broken as a small voice was heard from behind Arnav "I'm here di," Anjali smiled, and Arnav was stunned, Khushi was acting so... normal he thought, she just stepped out of the bathroom, hair washed and face clean and clear, still in her lengha from yesterday. "errr Arnav, you go downstairs to the breakfast table, me and Khushi will just come" Arnav felt uncomfortable leaving Khushi alone, as she thought she might blabber, but he left on Di's command.

Di handed over a box to Khushi, Khushi opened it and found a red saree in it, with gold embroidery, It was beautiful Khushi said "good, I'm glad you liked it, I bought this 3 years back, whoever was Arnav's dulhan, I would give this to, and we have a ritual in our home, on the first morning, the newly wedded bahu must where this," Anjali saw the frightened look on Khushi's face.. "arre Khushi, don't worry, you will look gorgeous in it, look ill help you get ready, everyone is waiting downstairs.."

After about 10 minutes, Arnav saw Anjali Di bringing Khushi down the stairs, whoa... He thought as he swirled into a deep trance. She looked exactly like Anjali said, Gorgeous. Her wet hair falling down her slender back, as the red saree's palloo swayed across khushi's shoulder, she felt shivering run through her spine, as everyone looked at her in approval, and even mamiji was smiling. Arnav looked at her, wandering if she said anything, Khushi shaked her head back, putting Arnav in relief. When she saw Shayem, it left Anjali giving all her strength in to stop Khushi from trembling down the stairs, but of course she just thought that she was nervous.

When Khushi was down the stairs, mamiji commented "kya baat hai Arnav, you never told us that you were soo deeply in love with Khushi that you couldn't stop yourself from marrying her then and there" and everyone started laughing, both Arnav and Khushi looked at naani, realising the story naani had actually told everyone.

"Khushi, everyone's going to the mandir, naani is going to sleep upstairs and Arnav is going to work, would you like to come with..?"

Before Khushi could say anything mamiji pointed out that Khushi was still weak, and that it would be better if she stayed at home and rested. Khushi glanced at Shayem for a second, and found that he was directly looking at her.

"Okay di I'm going to work" Arnav stated "but can't you at least stay home today chote, it's the first da..." "No di, I have an important meeting." As Arnav walked out of the house, Khushi followed him to the porch , "suniye, I haven't said anything to anyone, but I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing this for Anjaliji, I will in this contract behave and pretend like the wife everyone thinks I am, and I will not say anything." And Khushi walked back in, the words contract pierced Arnav's heart, why it was so hard to accept that this was in fact contract. He left for work.

Everyone else left for the mandir, except for Naani who went upstairs praying for what was to come in the next few weeks, and except for Shayem, who told Anjali that he will come to the mandir later to pick her up.

Khushi made her way upstairs to Arnav's room, she was worried, but was relaxed that Shayem was not at home, as she thought, how could he do this, he was soo nice.. Just then she heard someone enter the room, and she heard someone lock the door, her heart started pumping fast in awe. She was scared. She turned around, "you...?" a now flustered and terrified Khushi said, "Yes, me." A smirking looking shayem said, slowly walking towards the depth of the room...
