Chapter 8

"Riddhima? Can I come in?" Muskaan knocked on Riddhima's half-open door. Riddhima snapped out of her thoughts. She put her hairbrush on the dresser and called Muskaan in. "Riddhima, I wanted to talk to you."

"About what? Rahul's mental-ness?" She joked.

"No," Muskaan said seriously. "About Armaan."

Riddhima took a deep breath. "Armaan?" She asked.

"Yeah." Muskaan studied Riddhima's face. "Look Ridz, I know what happened between you two."

"What do you mean?" Riddhima got up from the bed and stared out the window at the pitch dark sky.

"I know what you guys did." Riddhima turned around to face her.

"Look, it's done. Over. Nothing can be done now. Leave it." Riddhima said to her.

"You shouldn't have done it."

"Muskaan, look. That's my personal business."

"Dekh, Riddhima. Tune jo kia usske baar tujhe lagta hai ke tune sahi kia?" Riddhima stayed silent and looked away. "I didn't tell anyone so don't worry about it. But, why would you take such a big step? I get you really loved him and all, but sleeping with him was just very wrong of you. I get you loved him and he loved you but-"

"I still do love him, Muskaan." Riddhima said tearing up. "I still do."

"Does that mean that you go sleeping with him? He clearly used you, Riddhima."

"No he didn't! He still loves me. I called him from the hospital. He was worried about me!"

"Did he show up?" Muskaan asked her calmly. "Did he? Look Riddhima, I'm not saying that you should forget about him or something but just rethink your so-called love for him and think about what you've done. Think about what situation you would've been in today if you got pregnant." Riddhima looked away from Muskaan. "I care about you Ridz. That's why I'm saying this. Please, just'I just think you should move on'Armaan's not coming back Riddhima." With that, Muskaan left Riddhima to her thoughts.
