Part 1
two weeks ago:
Geet wakes up at 7 am. She gets ready and leaves the house at 7.30 am with her brothers as every morning. She isn't allowed to go anywhere on her own or without the knowledge of her brothers. She doesn't have any friends, as everyone is afraid of her brothers and their strict observation over Geet.
They reach the bus stop at 7.35 and wait till 7.40, when the bus arrives. She gets in the bus and waits till the bus turns the corner and stands next to a handsome guy. He eyed her since he spotted her at the bus stop until she stands next to him. There is a little gap between them. He smiles at her.
Guy: Hey beautiful.
Geet: Do you always flirt with strangers?
Guy: IF they are so breathe taking like you, then yes. He smirks. She gives him an angry glare.
Geet: Dare you flirt with other girls and I won't spare you mister!!
Guy: love me so much that you can't even see me flirting with others huh?
Geet: Maan!! Stop irritating me!!
Maan: Ok, ok. I promise you, I won't flirt with other girls. I won't even look at them.
Geet: Sach??
Maan: Much!! And do you know why??
Geet: Why??
Maan: because I love you soo much that I can't risk hurting you or even loosing you!!
He tries to hold her hand but she takes her hand in her pocket.
Maan: will I ever be able to hold your hand??
Geet: in public never!! What if someone sees us together and one of my brothers get to know about it?? They will kill you!! What will I do without you??
Maan: Geet, Geet, Geet, relax!! Nothing will happen. You now I will never do anything which you don't approve so just chill and don't think about anything like that. And after our marriage, they can't do anything, because then you will be legally mine and we can do as we please.
The bus stops and they get out. First Geet gets out and and a few steps back Maan follows her. Brij has a lot of friends in London and they all are spying over Geet and reporting him. So they can't risk to be seen together outside of the cafe. After reaching the caf and starting with their duties, they have barely time to talk even a few words with each other, as the caf is having lots of customers.
At around 6pm, Karan comes and picks Geet up from the caf. Maan and Geet can't even bid goodbye to each other.
Karan and Geet don't speek much with each other during the way home.
As usual, Rajveer isn't at home. He will sure come at around 5 am in the morning in a drunken state and hit her mother. But what can they do?? Nothing!! He is the head of the family and his words are law for them!!
Geet went to her room, which she shared with her Dadi. Dadi was Geets only friend and she knew all her secrets. She hasn't met Maan jet, but she likes him. She is sure that he will keep Geet always happy.
A few days passed like that. At the end of the week, when Brij came to pick Geet up from work, he told her to take permission for an early leave tomorrow, as there will be guests coming from India. It is usual for them to have guests from India, so she hasn't asked who is coming.
Maybe this was one of her biggest mistakes in life.
