PART 31

Nupur: " shall we leave Mayank? m hungry!"

Mayank looked up from his mobile and found Nupur standing all ready in a blue skirt looking pretty fetching. How he wished she knew of better way to spend time together then going out and having lunch.

Nupur : (frowning) don't tell me I don't look good cause after the hard work I went into I am not changing the cloths! I am sorry! Besides I cant bear mrs Vasti for another second!"

Mayank: (grinning) no u look good! What I was wondering was when will u grow up."

Nupur: " and now what has all this to do with my growing up?"

Mayank: ( sighing) I have wasted my time on u kid! Shall we move?"

He glanced towards the door and Nupur still frowning moved quietly'

they went for lunch and then decided to do some shopping. It was a hot day and Nupur was just trying to find something blue which Mayank didn't fail to notice.

Mayank: " why are u so into blue today?"
Nupur( mumbling) all tahsnk to Mrs Vasti!"

Mayank: " sorry?"
Nupru: " nothing! Aise he! (feigning innocence) Don't u like blue?"

Mayank: " no I don't!"

Nupur: (aghast) u don't like blue? But Mrs Vasti.." (biting her tongue)

Mayank: " what else had Mrs Vasti been teaching u?"

Nupur: " ermmm.. well' I '"

Mayank: " if u are done here, shall we leave? Because as far as I can see u are not very fond of blue otherwise u wouldn't have rejected all these beautiful dresses."

He glanced at the heap of blue dresses Nupur had made the shopkeeper show her.

Nupur was about to give up and almost heard her heart grown when her mind made her say, " instead of taunting u should be helping me choose dresses na?"

Mayank: " sorry?"

Nupur: " yeah! Help me select a blue dress! And stop scowling. Mrs vasti is just helping me understand a particular, arrogant and extremely weird Mr Mayank!"

Mayank: " a good way to introduce ur husband to the shopkeeper."

Nupur looked up to find the shopkeeper listening intently to all she said.. before Nupur couldsay anything Mayank stepped forward and after that it was only a matter of a few minutes and Nupur was done by her shopping'.

it was almost 8 pm when Mayank and Nupur were finally left the market.

Nupru: "off to home now?"

Mayank: " no! I thought we will have dinner out too."

He looked in her direction waiting for any protests but pleased to not find any. Infact her face portrayed joy, " that's great! I wasn't interested in going home yet!"

Nupur was left in awe with the settings of the hall where Mayank had arranged the dinner and was instructing the musicians with the music they were to play. It wasn't a bright room at all, and due to the heavy curtains it appeared quiet dark. Moreover there were candles lighted in the room which gave it a very romantic look' yes Nupur had to admit, it all looked romantic'

Nupur: " why aren't we in the restaurant?"

Mayank: (raised eyebrow) are u complaining?"

Nupur: " not at all! I like it here!" she smiled up at him and then her eyes went wide with the recognition of the song playing in the background, " isn't this by Faber Drive? I love this song."

Mayank: " I thought u only loved Enrique? And here I was instructing them to play anything but Enrique."

He grinned and she grinned back, " as I said I love this song so sorry Mayank!"
Mayank: "so how about we dance?"

Nupur: (biting lips) " errmm.. I cant!"

Mayank: " don't worry I will only touch u as required for the dance."

Nupur: " u don't have to take everything that way Mayank! I meant I don't know how to dance."
Mayank: " so let me teach u!
he stood up without waiting for her reply and placed his hand infront of her.

Nupur had no other option but to place her hand in his and together they moved to the dance floor'

Mayank placed his hand on her waist and pulled her close enough that their bodies touched' he tried ignoring the desire which the contact ignited but that was difficult with her so close to him' he looked in her eyes and saw the discomfort so evident there' slowly he bent towards her and whispered, " relax! Even if there are not many people around m not taking the risk of u shouting for help at my slightest advance'

Instantly realizing how stiff her body was in his arms, she tried to relax and even smile, " very funny! I wasn't going to shout! I know how to handle u now!"

Mayank: " U do?"
Nupur: " yes I do! And now can we plz'"
Mayank: " change the topic? (sighing and pulling her closer) why do we have to do this?"

Nupur: " do what?"
Mayank: " try to talk when I all want is to kiss ur lips."

Nupur was shocked by the blatant statement but she recovered quickly and replied, " because my poor lips can perform another function- talk!"

Mayank looked at her for a moment and then burst out laughing, " now that was a good one!"

Nupur: " thanku!"

She smiled and for a long while both of them danced quietly looking in each other eyes'

Tonight, a candle lights the room'..

soon after the small dance, mayank and Nupur quietly had dinner as they were both too tired after the hectic day. Mayank enjoyed an after dinner drink and after that they both were on their way home'

Nupur was tired but elated too.. the day had went just the way she had planned and the best part was , she had enjoyed..

Heart: " that was amazing'"

Mind: " yeah well I agree it was fun."

Heart : ' and u even helped the poor girl to keep thing right between herself and Mayank."

Mind: " well yes. I thought this isn't going to handled by u alone afterall so I should u knw.. help.."

Heart: " yeah right! Be honest pal! Even u know I have fallen for this guy and the truth is when it comes to falling for someone, mind is the last thing a girl listens too!"

Meanwhile Nupur was glancing at her husband.. he was handsome, yes very handsome and with the careless ease he was driving the car made him appear even more appealing' now that she had started looking at him physically, she admitted she loved whatever she saw' and recently the way he was trying to control all his desires and giving them sometime to talk and listen was worth some acknowledgement ofcourse'

"do u dislike something u see or like other samples of ur specie u too are falling for my good looks?"

Mayank glanced in her direction with a lip curled up, clearly mocking her.

Nupur did blush for sure at being caught up staring at him, however she wasn't giving up that easily, "not at all! Actually I m wondering at the end of the day, did u called that friend of urs.. what was her name?"

Mind: " aha! Aha! See even I have sense of humor!"

Heart: " that was a poor move baby!"

Mayank: (grinning broadly now) tsk tsk, someone is jealous!"

Nupur: ' why would I be jealous?"

Mayank: "well u should know that shouldn't u? anyways, I guess now that u reminded me I should reply to her and plan out a meeting! Trust me that friend of mine is going to be on 9^th cloud by the time I m done with her."

Mind: " point made! I quit!"

Heart: ' thats like a good boy! Now check this out!"

Nupur: " well, I m not jealous! Cause I just spent a very nice day with my husband and m myself on 9^th cloud!"
she passed him abroad smile, ignoring the look on his face'..

Nupur lied beside Mayank and closed her eyes, " goodnight mayank' thanks again'"

Mayank: (pulling her in his arms) "cant we change this habit of ur saying thanku in such a dry manner?"

Nupur: (opening eyes) " what else do u want?"

Mayank: " how about a goodnight and thanku kiss?"

Nupur rolled her eyes and placed herself in a sitting position beside him, " u are impossible!"

Mayank: " look who is talki'"
but Nupur ahd already placed her lips on his and before he could even kiss back she had removed them too' "now goodnite, m sleepy!"
Mayank: " when are u not? I wonder how u will manage once we started having our night time activities!"
this time Nupur didn't replied she just hit him with a pillow and cuddled up to him, already asleep by the time he placed the newspaper away and switched off the light' he placed his arms around her and felt her warm body molding to his, igniting all those desires again' but this time, he wanted to wait.. for her'

But before sleep could engulf him, he smiled because he had indeed enjoyed the day ' things were changing' and the best part was he was getting to see the actual Nupur'' without having to lost his actual self'..
