Part 1
A guy is in office formals is working on his laptop sitting in his car. He is stuck in the traffic.
He looks at his watch frustrated as he realized that he is late for the meeting.
He says frustratingly to the driver "How much more time?"
"Sir, the traffic is too much. I don't think we'll be able to get out of here for another half an hour!" the driver tells him.
He thinks of cancelling his meeting, so he dials a number. When the bell was still ringing, he suddenly heard a woman's voice in the phone whispered "Maan" he said "hello" but there was no answer and the bell was still ringing. He felt weird but shakes off the thought.
After few more rings, a guy picks up the phone from the other side.
Maan says "Hello Mr. Chopra... yes this is Maan Singh Khurana. Actually Mr. Chopra we have to cancel this meeting. I'm stuck in the traffic."
He fixes his next meeting with Mr. Chopra after one hour at hotel Blue Hilton.
After one hour Maan reaches hotel blue Hilton and as soon as he gets out of his car, he starts walking towards the enterance.
When entering the door, he bumps into someone. In a reflex movement, he catches the person as she is about to fall down.
Maan looks at the face of the girl and he was awestruck. The girl was excessively beautiful. She was not just pretty, but there was some kind of strange glow on her face. Maan couldn't pin point at it but there was something different in the girl. There was something different in the way the girl was looking at Maan. It was almost a loving look with a slight smile on her lips. She was wearing a long pure white gown.
The girl and Maan's eyes locked for sometime and then Maan make her stand up.
The girl smiled slightly and whispered "Maan..." She has very beautiful voice too.
Maan couldn't recall if he knows this girl. He was pretty sure that he was seeing her for the first time. She has kinda face that if someone see her one time, he will remember her for the rest of his life. So Maan definitely hasn't seen her before.
He said "Excuse me, do I know you?"
The girl smiles and says "No."
Maan waits for her to say something more but when she doesn't say anything and just stand there smiling at him lovingly, he asked
"So how do you know my name?"
The girl didn't answer him and says in return "Mr. Chopra is not here."
Maan looks at her and asks guessing "So you work with Mr. Chopra?"
The girl smiles and says "No" and again left it at that.
"So who are you?"
The girl does not reply and just keep on looking at him. There was something in her eyes that was holding Maan's eyes. Maan realized what he was feeling and tries to go inside.
Maan was few steps away from her with his back towards her and he heard her say
"Maan!" Maan stops in his steps and he hears her saying "Bohat intzaar karwaya aapne!!" [u made me wait too long]
Maan turns back but there was no one. He looks around and the whole entrance was empty.
He couldn't decide if the girl was really there or just his imagination. He could have sworn that the girl was there but then where can she go all of a sudden. So he came on a conclusion that he might be imagining'
He goes inside the hotel a little lost at what just happened. But then he shakes off the thought and concentrated on his next meeting.
He asks at the reception for Mr. Chopra but the receptionist tells him that Mr. chopra is not there.
Maan is confused and calls Mr. chopra who tells him that he cant come to the meeting and he's been trying to call him from last 10 minutes but his phone is not reachable.
Maan hangs up a little frustrated and goes out angrily.
He sits in his car and was about to go. As he pulled out of the parking lot, he saw the same girl in white gown standing on the side of the road and looking at him with the same smile.
He stops the car and gets out of the car. He looks back but again there was no one.
Maan said to himself "Kahin main pagal to nahin ho raha!!" and he sits back in his car and drove off.
But all his way home, he kept on thinking about that girl. Her big hazel eyes keep on popping in front of his eyes. What was in those eyes??!! She didn't say much but her eyes pierced through his soul.
Maan was so restless and he didn't even know the reason! All night she didn't let him sleep. Small part of him wanted to see her again. Her beautiful face that stands out in millions!! He wanted to see her. He wanted to talk to her.
He stayed awake thinking what she meant when she said that she has been waiting for him??!! How does she know him?! And where did she go all of a sudden???
She didn't leave his thoughts even for a minute for the next whole day too. All day he thought he saw her standing here and there, but every time he tried to go close to her, there was no one. He thought he was loosing it!!
In the evening, he had a business dinner with some clients.
While he was having dinner, suddenly he saw her again sitting few tables away looking at him and smiling slightly.
He had had enough! He hasn't had a moment's peace since she crossed his way yesterday.
He gets up and goes towards her and says angrily
"So you are following me huh?"
The girl didn't say anything and kept on looking at him sweetly which made him more angry. Infact he was more angry at himself because he was unable to take her out of his thoughts even when he wanted too.
He said "Why are you following me?"
"Main aapka peechha nahin kar rahi hoon Maan. Aapki takdeer aapka peechha kar rahi hai. Hamara milna, sadiyon pehle sitaron pe likha ja chukka hai." She said with a solemn expression. [im not following you Maan. Ur destiny is following u. our meeting was already written in the stars]
"What??!! Are you drunk?" he asked her thinking she must be drunk because the way she was talking.
But the girl didn't reply anything.
So Maan again asked "What's your name?"
"Geet."
As soon as the word escaped from her lips, Maan felt a sudden relation with the name. He felt like he has known this name since ages. But he controlled himself and said
"Listen Geet, I don't know what you are trying to do here! But whatever your intentions are its not gonna work on me!! You get that??!! So stop following me and go home!!" but inside he didn't want her to go away. He wanted her to stay with him forever. He wanted to talk to her, listen to her, touch her' He realized what he was thinking and cursed himself for that.
He was about to walk away when she said "Kaash! Kaash takdeer se bhaag paana itna aasaan hota!! Lekin takdeer se kabhi koi nahin bhaag paya hai Maan. Aap bhi nahin bhaag paayenge. Hamara milna takdeer ka faisla hai. Aap chah kar bhi is se muh nahin fer paayenge!" she said with the same slight signature smile of hers. [Wish! I wish it was that easy to run away from destiny. But no one can run from the fate. U cant even run. Our union is destiny's decision. U cant run even if u want to]
"I think you need a psychiatrist Geet!! Itne bade bade shabd jo istemaal kar rahi ho, inka matlab bhi maloom hai tumhein?" and he added mockingly "Takdeer!" [these big words that u use, do u even know its meaning?... destiny!!]
"Aap janaa chahte hain na Maan? To chale jaayiye!" she said almost challenging him.
Maan tries to walk away but his body refused to obey the order of his mind. He couldn't find enough strength in him to just walk away from her. His heart refused to go away from her. The very thought of never able to see her again gave him tremendous pain. He was shocked at himself that how can a total stranger have such a complete control on him. A mere girl, whom he doesn't even know'
At last he resigned and asks her "Aakhir tum chaahti kya ho?" [what do you want?]
"Nothing. I want whatever you want! Hamaari takdeer ne hamari zindagiyan jod di hain. Aap ka jo bhi faisla hoga, wo mujhe manzoor hoge! Agar aap mujhe chhod ke jaana chahte hain, to bhi main aapke faisle ke aage sir jhukaoongi. Magar main jaanti hoon, ke aap mujhse door kabhi ja hi nahin sakte!" [our destiny has joined our lives together. Whatever would be your decision, ill obey it with closed eyes. If you want to leave me, I wont stop u. but I know u would not leave me]
Maan was going through a war inside him. His mind was telling him that he should just walk away. He doesn't even know her. She is just talking crap. But his heart was not ready to let him walk a single step away from her. Nobody can reason with the way heart works! Heart has its own rules and regulations. And his heart wants her' Right here right now.
There was strange pang in his heart. He felt a sudden urge to take her into his arms and kiss her breathless till eternity. Her eyes were pulling him towards her. He was feeling weak. Her mere smile was creating havoc in his heart.
But he controlled himself. He thought 'She is a total stranger. I cant think like that about her. But Maan, at least you can ask her out! Just look at her!! She is so beautiful. And you cant deny the fact that you are liking her...
At last he looked into her eyes and said "Geet, how about a coffee?"
Geet just looks at him blankly as if she didn't understand what he's asking her. And Maan thought that she's not replying because she doesn't want to go out with him. He felt his ego wounded. For the first time he is asking some girl out and she is not even replying.
He frowns and says "I cant wait for you whole night over here! I need an answer!! Will you, or will you not, go on a date with me?" he asked angrily.
Geet smiles and says "Aap kuch pal bhi intzaar nahin kar sakte, aur maine sadiyon tak aapka intzaar kiya hai. Khair, aap mujhe jahaan leke jaana chahte hain, main chaloongi." [u cant even wait for some minutes, and I have waited for you for ages. Anyways, I'll go with u where ever you want to take me]
Her words touched his heart. He felt that she trusts him so much that she is ready to go anywhere with him! He promised himself that he will never break her trust.
He said with a smile "You wait here! I'll just be back!"
