Part 4

Late that midnight, Maan woke up to find Geet not in his arms. He touched her side of the bed, but she wasn't there either.

He thought she might have gone to the washroom. He waited for few minutes, but she didn't come out.

He felt a bit strange and gets up. He looks around with sleep still in his eyes. He went to the washroom door and knocks it but nobody answered.

He felt anxious. It has been almost half an hour since he woke up and saw Geet was not there. He gets worried. He hurriedly puts on his sweatpants and was about to go out, when Geet enters the room with a jug of water.

Maan hugs her and asks her worriedly "Geet where were you? You know how worried I was for you??!!"

Geet smiles and says "Maan, relax! I just went to get water."

He relaxes a bit and says "You should've waked me up!!"

"Maan you were sleeping! And I just went to the kitchen!!" she said sweetly.

"Ok!" and he kisses on her forehead but somewhere inside he has small suspicion arising that 'half an hour to get water!!' but he shakes off the thought and went to bed.

Next day went without any major incidents except that Maan did not want to leave Geet alone even for a second. He wasn't letting her out of his sight at all. Geet was kind of getting worried at the way he was behaving. He wasn't supposed to behave like this!! She had to think of a way to let him leave her alone...

At night they again made passionate love and dozed off into each other's arms.

But again after midnight, Maan felt the bed empty on Geet's side. He felt anxious and gets up hurriedly and was about to go out when he bumps into Geet at the door. Geet again had jug of water in her hands.

"Geet, where were you?" he asked a little suspiciously.

Geet says while smiling "I went to get the water Maan!"

"But Nakul filled the water last night!" he was still eyeing her suspiciously. He was having this feeling that Geet was lying.

Geet smiled and said confidently "Wo actually Maan, mera haath lag kar paani neeche gir gaya tha." And she points towards the bed.

Maan looks towards the bed and there was water spilled on the floor. Maan could have sworn that the water was not there few minutes ago, but he couldn't challenge for what he was seeing.

So Maan left it at that and went to bed.

THIRD NIGHT

Maan woke up tonight and again found Geet missing from the bed. He frowns and thought that something is definitely wrong. He did not want to doubt on Geet, but it looked like she was hiding something.

And the way she always talked was so mysterious. She has never told him anything about her family or her past. Maan has tried to ask her but she has refused saying that its not the right time. She will tell him when the right time will come. That he has to trust her.

He does trust her but he thought that she has to trust him too. Before she was just his girlfriend, but now she is his wife! She should share everything with him!!!

He goes out determinedly to see if Geet has really gone to the kitchen.

When he reaches outside his room, he saw Geet walking in from the main door.

Maan says to himself "Ye Geet itni raat gaye kahaan gayi thi?!!"

And he goes back into his room and waited for Geet to come. He checked the bed side table and saw the water jug was not there. He wasn't expecting it to be there either. He had a feeling that Geet was again gonna make the excuse of water.

When geet enters, he realised he was right. Geet again had a jug of water in her hands.

He said coldly "Paani lene gayi thi Geet?"

Geet felt the coldness in his voice and realised the water excuse was not gonna work today. But she hasn't thought of any other excuse. So she just smiles apologetically and goes towards the bed.

Maan couldn't take it anymore. He holds her hand angrily and jerks her to face towards him. He asked her with controlled anger "Answer me Geet! Where were you??"

Geet looked back into his eyes and said "Aap mujhpar shak kar rahe ho Maan? Maine kabhi socha bhi nahi tha, ke aap shadi ke teesre hi din mujhpar shak karoge!!"

Maan's expressions changes instantly and he felt bad. He leaves her hand guiltily. She was right! He was doubting her!! He should trust her, in the same way as he wants her to trust him!!

He said feeling bad "I'm sorry Geet. You weren't here, so I got worried for you! But where did you go?"

"Mujhe neend nahi aa rahi thi Maan, that's why I went for a walk for some time!!" she said confidently.

Now Maan was feeling very bad. He said "I'm very sorry Geet. Please forgive me!! But you should've woke me up. Its not safe to go out late at night alone by yourself."

Geet nods and went to bed.

No matter how hard Maan tried, but the suspicion in his heart kept on increasing. Geet's behaviour was not normal. She always tried to keep the distance between them except for the nights when they made love. She was always in a hurry to get into bed every night with Maan, but she never even tried to touch him normally in daytime.

Many times, she gets lost in her thoughts while talking to someone else, but she never tells what she's thinking even when he has asked her so many times. Very rarely she lets the sweet smile slips from her face, but Maan could see the sadness in her eyes whenever the facade slips... but she doesn't tell him...

Maan realised another small detail too. She never really confessed her feelings for him. Whenever he said 'I love you' to her, she just looks at him and smiles. She has not even once said 'I love you' to Maan.

In the daytime, she always keep on finding excuses to stay away from him as much as possible. And at nights, her disappearances... everything was enough to make him pull his hair in frustration.

He decided that he cant let these thoughts stay in his mind forever. He has to finish his doubts. So he decided that tonight he will not sleep even for a minute and see where Geet is really going!!!

AT NIGHT

Geet was again in a hurry to get into bed with him.

After they made love, they went to sleep, or in real actually, Maan faked to go to sleep.

Near to midnight, Maan felt Geet getting up from bed. Maan opens his eyes a milli centimetre and saw Geet's back towards him and she was sneaking out silently out of the room.

When geet went out of the door, Maan gets up quickly and puts on his clothes and goes after her.

When Maan went out of the room, Geet was already going out of the main door. Maan ran towards the door and goes after her.

He sneaks after her hiding behind the trees and the cars, but not letting her go out of his sight.

Geet took many turns and roads and at last she reached into a dark narrow alley. Maan was watching her from a distance, when his whole world fell apart!!

He saw a tall guy dressed in a white hoodie and long cloak walking towards Geet and holds Geet's hand.

Maan's blood boiled at what he was looking at. He felt like killing the guy in hoodie who has dared to touch his wife!!! His anger knew no bounds!!!!

But the surprises weren't over for him!!!

In the next instant, he saw Geet hugging that basttard!!!!
