CHAPTER ONE: FIRST SIGHT

"Arrnaaavvv" arnav's mom shouted from outside his room, "Wake up already! Your dad has already left for office. And if you're late one more time he'll kill you."

"Ok ok I'm up mom" arnav shouted back still half asleep. It had been a week since he joined his dad in his office. And things were not good. He'd been late everyday only causing to rise his father mr. raizada's anger.

Arnav got dressed in a hurry. And raced his car to the office. Hopefully he won't be too late. He arrived at the office to fing his dad in a meeting. 'Phew ' thought arnav.

'Hey sandy! Whatsup for today?' Arnav asked his secretary.

'Actually a lot. You have to accompany your dad in a meeting for our new project. They're finalizing the details and your dad especially asked for you to be there since he's planning to hand over the project to you'

'Oh man! Alright what time?'

'You still got two hours'

With that arnav went into his office to prepare for whatever he'd have to face in that meeting. Meetings are boring. Ugh. Why doesn't dad get mohit bhai to do this stuff. He's a pro at it.

'Relax dee you'll be fine!' anushka once again made an attempt to calm her sister down.

'If you keep driving this fast I really doubt that, please slow down, I already feel as if im about to hav a stroke' khushi managed to get the words out.

Anushka rolled her eyes at the exaggeration 'You really need to loosen up a bit.'

'Anushka you know- '

'Please, no! I don't wanna listen to your get-serious-in-life lecture once again. Plus it's a big day for you, try to atleast look excited.'

'I am excited but im more nervous you know its my first project and this could be my big break.' Replied khushi.

'Here you are, best of luck,' Anushka hugged her sister as khushi got out of the car. Before walking through the door she paused for a minute and looked at the building. Well here goes nothing, she thought. And with a deep breath she walked in'

Two hours later arnav sat with rest of the staff in the conference room. 'Atleast for a change the meeting is not late because of me' arnav whispered to sandy who smiled.

At the moment Mr. Raizada entered with a young woman who seemed to be quite nervous. "Sorry we're late everyone. Let's begin, shall we.'

All through the conference arnav couldn't help but smile at the girl. She seemed to be new at her job, her nervousness proved that. She was very pretty too with her light brown eyes and her chocolate brown hair. He wondered which department was she hired for and he didn't have to wait to get his answer as the next moment his father rose from his chair and introduced the new member.

'Everyone this is khushi sharma, our architect for the new project. She's just started sometime ago but is a promising young lady. I'm glad I found her.' Announced Mr. Raizada. Everyone greeted her and arnav's smile grew wider as khushi's cheeks grew red at the attention. This khushi girl really amused him.

After the meeting Mr. Raizada called arnav and introduced him to khushi. 'You'll be working with her. I want you to show her around get her to know the place. A Ms. Khushi this is my son and your project partner Arnav' Both of them greeted each other and as arnav shook khushi's hand and looked her in the eyes he thought that this project might not be so bad after all.
