Hey everyone! Sorry i didnt update earlier. I just got busy. And i'm sorry this chapter is so short. I meant to make it longer but i decided to just post this much to give you guys something.

Chapter 2:

"He is the most annoying, obnoxious, and disrespectful person I've ever met!" Riddhima exclaimed, sitting down on her cousin's bed, arms crossed over her chest.

"Rdzi, you've told us that over 100 times since you got back. Let's talk about something else. I mean, come on, today is our Sonu's wedding day!" Rddhima's older sister, Anjali Gupta said, resting her hads on their cousin Sonali Gupta's shoulders, smiling into the mirror at her.

"Yeah, Ridzi. You're probably never even going to see that guys again! I actually have to warn about something," Sonali said, turning around from the mirror and looking at Riddhima.

"About what?" Riddhima asked.

"About the my going-to-be-husband, Sanjay's, cousin," Sonali said.

"His cousin?" Anjali asked.

"Yes, his cousin. Sanjay told me his cousin and his best friend are planning some insane pranks for you guys if you steal the shoes. They'll do anything to get them back if you take them. So just watch out for the groomsmen, okay?"

Riddhima and Anjali looked at each other and then at Sonali. "Okay. They can try getting the shoes back from us, but they will probably be unsuccessful," Anjali smirked, flipping her hair back.

"Okay, well first get the shoes, then you can brag," Sonali said, laughing slightly.

After a few moments of talking and joking, one, of many, of Sonali's aunts poked her head into the room and said, "It's time."

******
"Did you hide the shows?" Anjali whispered to Riddhima urgently after the wedding, heading to the next room to eat lunch.

"Yeah, i gave them to Prachi. But that's not the problem! What's he doing here?" Riddhima whispered back angrily.

Anjali rolled her eyes. "Well obviously he has some kind of relation with Sanjay, Ridzi."

"This is such a-" But Riddhima never finished her thought because she and Anjali were pummeled with water balloons.

"What the hell?!" Anjali yelled, looking down at her now wet saree.

Riddhima heard some laughter and looked up to see Armaan standing in front of her along with another. "We meet again, huh?" Then he pointed to the boy standing next to him. "This is Atul Joshi, Sanjay's good friend. And I'm his cousin. You two are in for a crazy hour. Well, that is if you don't give us the shoes back."

"If you think we're going to give in that easily, then you are hugely mistaken. We Guptas don't give in easily," Riddhima said, going face-to-face with Armaan, crossing her hands over her chest.

Armaan smirked at her. "Well, we Malliks don't like losing."

"Then you better learn to like it because we Guptas always win," Riddhima said, turning around an walking away.

****
"What happened to you two?" Padma asked her two daughters as they sat down next to their parents, slamming their plates onto the table.

"The groomsmen. They wanted the shoes," Anjali said through gritted teeth. "God, this sarre me a fortune! It was designer!"

"Ah, the shoe war. Sonali told me about the groomsmen," Shashank Gupta laughed. "Well, don't let them get the shoes, okay?"

Riddhima smiled. "Thanks, Dad. And don't worry, a little water won;t do anything to stop us. the lunch will be over in an hour. How many more pranks can they pull?"

*****
"Armaan, i feel really bad about that. Do you really think we had to throw water balloons at them? I mean, their dresses looked really expensive," Atul said, looking guilty and full of regret.

"Champ, don't worry! It's not a big deal. It's just for fun," Armaan replied, eating some of the chilli paneer he had gotten from the food line.

Atul sighed. "Yeah, you're right. So anyway, is that really the girl from the airplane you were telling me about?"

"Yeah. Coincidence, huh? Well, it's going to be fun playing the pranks on her," Armaan said, smirking, thinking about the things he had planned.

Hey everyone! here's the next chapter! Now all the real fun is going to start in the story! Hope you enjoy :)

Chapter 3:

Riddhima walked up the stiars to Sonali's room, where she intended on cleaning up the mess that was made by Armaan. But before she could even open the door, someone threw something at her from behind.

She gasped and felt her back. It was chilli paneer. Riddhima angrily turned around to see Armaan standing behind her, smirking. "I am going to kill you."

Armaan walked closer to her. "This all can stop if you just give me the shoes. There is only 15 minutes till Sanjay and Sonali leave."

"I'm not giving you the shoes. No matter what you do," Riddhima turned around to head into to Sonali's room to now clean the chili paneer.

Armaan smirked after her, tilting his head. She's got attitude, all right.

*****
"Sorry we didn't get the shoes, Armaan. though you have to admit, the girls hid it pretty well," Atul said to Armaan as Sanjay and Sonali were leaving.

"Yeah, hiding it in the room we were all chilling in. It was smart. We would never have guessed to look there," Armaan replied.

"Why, thank you," the two boys turned around to see Anjali and Riddhima standing behind them, wearing triumphant smiles. They looked like a total mess. They were wet from head to toes and were splattered with all different kinds of food.

"No problem. But let me just warn you. If we ever meet again, we will win," Armaan replied with a challenging smile.

"Yeah, I'm sure," Riddhima said sarcastically. Then the two sisters turned around and walked away.

*****
Riddhima walked into the office, looking around in awe. She was finally at her new job, and she was really excited. She was going to bring people together and hopefully make some new friends.

As she was looking around the place, she bumped into two people, who were talking happily. "I am so sorry!" Riddhima exclaimed.

One of the girls laughed. "Don't worry about it!"

The other girl looked at her for a second and then asked, "Wait, are you the new matchmaker?"

Riddhima smiled at the two girls. "Yes, I am. My name is Riddhima Gupta."

"I'm Nikita Malhotra-"

"And I'm Muskaan Mehani."

"Muskaan! Muskaan! There you are!" someone came up to the three girls, looking quite frustrated. "Can you stop just leaving when we're in the middle of something? We have ahuge project due tomorrow! You can't keep taking unnecessary breaks!"

Muskaan rolled her eyes. "And this is my annoyingly boring and bossy partner, Rahul Garewal. We're both matchmakers for online users."

Riddhima looked at Rahul and smiled. "Hi, I'm Riddhima Gupta."
"It's great to meet you. Now, if you don't mind, we have work to do," Rahul smiled and then took Muskaan by the arm and dragged her away.

"Hey, Rahul, let go of my hand!" Muskaan yelled.

Nikita laughed. "Yeah, those two are always fighting. I can't believe that ullu ke pathe partenered them together. They really don't work well together."

Riddhima gave her a questioning look.

"Oh, right, I forgot you're new! The ulle ke pathe i'm talking about is our wonderful boss, Mr. Abhimanyu Modi. Really, the man is so strict and serious, I don't even understand how he's running a dating service. I mean, really, I've never really seen him smile."

"Oh, well, meeting him should be fun," Riddhima said sarcastically. "By the way, what do you do?"

"I'm the ulle ke pathe's secretary," Nikita said.

"Oh..."Riddhima said, feeling bad for her.

"Yeah, 'oh'. Anyway, good luck with the first meeting. I have to go and run errands."

"Okay, thanks!" Riddhima said as Nikita left. Riddhima took a deep breath and walked over to the boss'es office and knocked on the door. "May I come in, sir?"

"Come in," said a stern voice.

Riddhima walked in. The boss was sitting at his desk, working on this computer with a very straight and serious face. He looked up and said, "Are you the new matchmaker?"

"Yes, my name is Riddhima Gupta."

He nodded. "Sit down. Your partner should be here in a few minutes."

Riddhima nodded as the boss went back to work. She sat there as the awkward-ness of the room went. Finally, there was a knock on the door.

"May I come in, sir?" said a masculine voice.

"Yes," the boss replied.

The door opened and Riddhima turned around curiously to see her partner. "You?!"

"You?!"

Riddhima looked at Armaan Mallik with pure hatred in her eyes.

The boss looked back and forth between the two. He had a meeting to go to and didn't have time for whatever nonsense his new matchmakers had going on. "Please, sit down."

Armaan looked away from Riddhima and sat down on the chair next to her's. "I'm Armaan Mallik, by the way."

The boss nodded, still wearing his straight face. "I am Abhimanyu Modi. Everyone calls me Mr. Modi. No Abhimanyu, no Abhi, no Modi. Just Mr. Modi," He paused as the tow nodded. "You two will be matchmaking partners. People will come in asking for someone to go on a date with and you'll set them up. Simple as that. Now I would like to warn you that I do NOT like pranks and shenanigans in my office. If there are any, you will be punished. Is that understood?" Riddhima and Armaan nodded again. "Good, now got to your office. I'll have my secretary, Nikita will take you there."

Armaan and Riddhima walked out of the office to find Nikita already there. Before Armaan and Riddhim could start fighting, Nikita wrapped her arms around Armaan. "Armaan! I'm so happy to see you!"

"It's good too see you too, Nikki!" Armaan replied.

"You two know each other?" Riddhima said with disgust.

"Yeah, we've been best friends since college," Nikita replied with a smile. Then she looked between Armaan and Riddhima. "Do you two know each other?"

Armaan and Riddhima glared at eahc other. "Unfortunately, yes," said Armaan, and then smiled at Nikita. "But I'll tell you all about that later."

Nikita looked at the two weirdly and said, "Okay. Let me just take you two to your office."
