The next day, Maan came again to the coffee shop and chatted with Geet.
Maan- I'm the MD of Khurana Constructions.
Geet- Khurana Constructions? You mean THE Khurana Khaandan?
Maan laughed.
Maan- Yeah. THE Khurana Khaandan.
Geet smiled.
Geet- I hear alot about you on TV.
Maan smiled.
Geet- Did you know that one of your brothers was in my high school.
Maan- Really? Who?
Geet- Vicky Khurana.
Maan- Oh vo. Vo to pagal hain ladka.
Geet- Accha? How dare you say that about Vicky! He was the person who would make me laugh all the time! We were best friends.
Maan- Were? Fir kya hua?
Geet- Oh well he shifted to New York remember?
Maan- Oh yeah. He stayed with me there too in my Flat.
Geet- Nice.
Maan- Yeah and then after the 9/11 attacks, we moved to Miami and I guess you guys lost communication from there right?
Geet nodded.
Maan- Sorry about that.
Geet- Why are you saying sorry?
Maan- Vo actually, I told Vicky to stop talking to his friends and start concentrating on studies. I broke his phone and I threw his diary in the fireplace.
Geet was shocked.
Geet- Oh well that's alright. Atleast let me talk to Vicky now.
Maan- Of course. Vicky is currently in London for some work at the business over there, he'll be back in 2 weeks, we can go meet him.
Geet- That'll be nice.
Maan- Does he know that...?
Geet- That I'm blind? I don't think so. I became blind after I graduated from High School. We were friends while I was in High School.
Geet continued making coffee for a customer and then started talking to Maan again.
Geet- So what about your family?
Maan- Ok, well I have 2 brothers, Vicky and Dev and 1 sister, Annie. And then there's my parents and Dadimaa.
Geet- That's nice.
Maan- What about you?
Geet-Uhmmm...I...I live with my Nani.
Maan- Oh and brother and sister? Mom, Dad?
Geet had tears in her eyes. Nani noticed this and came to Maan.
Nani- Vo Maan bete, aap koi snack lenge? Cake, cookies? Humne fresh banai hain.
Maan- No thanks Nani Ji. Actually, I better go take my Dadimaa to her Doctor's appointment. See you tomorrow.
Nani- Bye bete.
Maan- Bye.
Maan looked at Geet.
Maan- Bye Geet.
Geet smiled.
Geet- Bye Maan.
Maan left and Nani looked at Geet.
Nani- Tu use sab kuch batade.
Geet- No Nani. I can't. Not yet. You know what has happened to me.

2 weeks later
Maan would get coffee and talk with Geet everyday. They had a strong bond and Geet even started developing strong feelings for him.
Geet- Aap bahut acche ho.
Maan smiled.
Maan- Janta hoon.
Geet- Mere saath bahut kuch ho chuka hain Maan.
Geet touched Maan's shoulder.
Geet- Main aur dukh bardaasht nahi kar paongi. Please, hamesha aise mere paas, mere dost rehna.
Maan held her hand gently yet passionately, showing his care and ensuring her he will always be there for her.
Maan- I promise, I will always be there for you.
Geet smiled.
Maan- Accha main chalta hoon. Main kal aaonga.
Geet- Ok, Bye.
