Why all 🤢🤢🤢 at cathartic?? while i think we are all fortunate at not having been suppressed either in terms of education or opportunities.. there is definitely a grain of truth in Geet's predicament in terms of the over-arching societal pressure of conforming to the larger 'code' or 'prototype' of the Bhartiya Nari...
Which is to say the 'randoms' (= everyone else who is NOT a part of your family, yet amazingly have more power over them than they do over their OWN family😆😆) can hold you to ransom at a smile withheld, at a conversation louder or more sarcastic than deemed neccessary, at a spontaneous or 'irresponsible' moment enjoyed, at an 'answering back' at the menfolk, at a questioning of rituals deemed sacred, at a thought or moment stolen for yourself before the 'man in your life' or your 'child', at a house less than perfect, at a sacrifice eschewed... AND you will find the family making excuses and apologies on your behalf... 😕😕😕
And yup to the other second point...
