Part 16

Wait..Wait.. whats this. Maan asked confused. . The rest of the group came to join them.

Geet turned to face Maan. Looked straight at him in his eyes,

Mr. Maan Singh Khurana, she went near Jay without losing the eye contact, slid her arm around Jay's waist, by reflex, Jay put his hand on her shoulder..Jay is my fiance.

Maan's ears couldnt believe what he had just heard. Fiance.. Geet's fiance. Jay Malhotra..

Oh man, Geet , why didnt you tell us this before.. Congrats Geet , and you too Jay .giving him a hug.

Geet's eyes were set on Maan. Adi, Tej and Jay were talking and laughing about something. Maan saw Geet, and it clearly showed that he was hurt. But he didnt show any signs of that.

He starts to walk from there slowly.

Maan.. Geet calls out, Jay turns around to see him leaving..

Maan, I being her fiance, should not affect you in any ways. jay went and stopped him.

Geet stood there watching them silently, but nothing could be heard.

Jay, please let me leave, he stepped ahead and walked few steps. But Jay was quick enough to match his pace,

Maan, just forget I am her fiance, Why cant you differentiate between professsional and personal dealings.

Jay spoke looking straight in his eyes.

Maan looked at him, and he stepped ahead to walk away, Good. Let your Khurana empire go down the drains. This is what you want right. First you didn't accept Handa grp of companies offer, inspite of the fact, they selected you on the mere basis of your work. Geet did not even know about you. He folded his hands, spread his legs a bit, Leave that fact, But me.. I dnt know you, I gave you the contract , by seeing your work, I want the best for my company. This was a pure professional deal. But I didnt know Mr. Khurana, He went and stood in front of him, that you are so weak, that you cant segregate ur professional and personal lives.

I can differentiate it, Maan looked at him straight into his eyes.

Then prove it.. accept the offer . He didn't move from his place. Both stood their grounds firm.

Geet was getting nervous, seeing these two men talking so seriously,She could feel the heat. She said a bye to all there in a hurry.

directed herself towards the men, went straight to Jay ignoring Maan standing there, caught his hand, Lets leave ,Jay. If he is not accepting the offer, leave it. She did not turn to see what Maan's doing . She just cared about Jay.

Jay looked at the tensed Geet, held her hand tightly, and turned around to leave.

They walked few steps, I accept the offer.

They stopped at once. Jay turned around, Maan was standing there with folded hands. I accept.

Geet turned around. Jay went towards Maan. raised his hand for a shake, Maan too reciprocated. Later, Maan hugged him too. surprising Jay and Geet at the same time.

Geet came forward, she gave a smile to both of them.

Adi and Tej were a bit surprised by this decision of Maan's.

So this calls for a celebration..

Geet went near Maan, she gave her hand for a shake. Congrats Maan. Very happy for you. She said it genuinely.

Thanks Geet. Tum nahi hoti toh me yeh offer accept nahi.. he bit his lip. I mean thanks for everything Geet. Geet gave a confused look with a smile.

So as a celebration, I want you to sing a song for all of us here. Come on Maan, its been months we have heard you sing..She said smilingly. And others joined her in this request.

Only for you Geet, Maan said it as he went near the stage, Jay looked at Maan and then at Geet. He slipped his hand on her waist. She turned around to smile at him.

Maan took the center stage, with a guitar in his hands..

he played the first note..

Everyone gathered around him.. Adi and Pinky with Tej while Jay with Geet.

Maan closed his eyes, the first image he could see was of a girl with red salwar kameez. The cold winds mildly blew her hair.. the face became slightly visible, At once he remembered, Geet.. the first time he saw her at the party.

He at once opened his eyes, only to find Geet smilingly at him adoringly.

Bichde The Kinare Mil Gaye..hmm.. hmm..hmm.. . Jay was clapping in rhythm.. all were enjoying the song completely.

Maan slowly went near Geet, to ask her for a dance, He held out his hand, Geet looked at Jay, who nodded and next moment, Maan and Geet were swaying together left- right..with his one hand on her waist and other holding her hand, while other rested on his shoulder.

He slowly swirled her around,

He hugged her from behind, as in her one hand was still in his hand and her back was facing his front, they both moved left- then right..

he swirled her again, to the first position, her hands on his shoulder and his on her waist..looking into each others eyes.

Jay came in the middle, and asked for Geet's hand for a dance.. She readily obliged. Maan excused himself, but his eyes were on Geet.

Jay started singing... Looking into her eyes..He hugged her, and Geet placed her head on his chest, and they moved in rhythm. Maan continued to look on.

Meri Loh Havaaon Se Jhagadkar

Lee Uthi Mere Har Andhere Ko Ujale Pee Gaye

He looked at her, Geet's eyes filled up with happiness, and he kissed her on the forehead. Maan looked away.

Maan came back to them, Geet was in middle smiling, Maan came and stood beside her..

He looked at her, Geet smiled at him, He smiled at her. In that one moment, both of them forgot that they are not talking to each other or there was any misunderstanding between them

truth, is my dad and pinks dad have sorted out their differences and he made a condition that I should stay here only whenever I come down. He pulled her close to him..

Thats a great news , jaan. You know Pinks missed you a lot these years..Waise why No one told me this.. nor you or Pinky.. She turned around.

Well, I wanted to tell you in person. And waise bhi, he made her face him again and he rested his hands on her shoulder, making there heads touch each others, I missed you a lot . I cant live without you Geet.

I have no clue why I did that. that Jay is too good man.. he got up , took few steps and turned around facing them.

Did you see, How he is? He is just perfect. he placed his hands on his waist..

Continue.. Tej interupted..Maan glared at him

And above all that, He is Geet's fiance. How come? Arey yaar, Ab mera kya hoga..Saying this he sat down

Adi and Tej looked at each other.. So this is asli matter. Jay is Geet's fiance.

Nahi Nahi.. Dumbos.. The real matter is She is happy with him. Didnt you see , how happy she was , she was blushing all the time.. She loves him.

For a second, the glimpses of Only Geet smiling came to his mind. He got lost.

Maa.. Maa.. Maan, I knew this thing before.. Adi said it very cautiously.

Toh bataya kyun nahi.. Tej screamed.

Adi laughed, kya i knew Jay is Pinky's cousin. If i tell them i knew this, dono mujhe maar dalenge, and i forgot to tell them..Adi thought.

Arghhh... I am going to kill you one day.. remember that. Maan pounced at him.

Maan.. Can i tell you one thing. Its good to have you back.

Me kahaan gaya tha..he snapped back.

I mean, Its good to have the old fun loving Maan Back.. Tej put his hand on Maan's shoulder.

Waise , why does it effect you. Adi asked him, as he sat on the couch.

I think I am attracted to Geet. Maan looked at them,

Adi and Tej laughed out loud.

haan ek din bolega,Tej went and sat on the sofa, i love her, next din, no no.. we r just friends.. and now u say u r attracted..Wow.. Maan singh khurana. Tej clapped.

Adi laughed. Maan hit Adi on his head. Which made Adi laugh out more.

Very funny.. I am serious.. Both laughed again. Sorry Maan.. Yahaan tera koi chance nahi..

I am sure one day, she will love me.. Maan said it with a smile and full on confidence.

Tej chuckled.. Maan hit him on his head.. you said you are just attracted..ab pyar kahaan se tapka..

Maan walked few steps, he placed himself on the couch between Adi and Tej.

Haan, Aankhoon Mein Halke Halke, He opened his eyes, and smiled at them, running his hand through his hair
Sapnay Hain Jhalke Kal Ke
Sab Ishq Ke Hain, Ye Nishan ... he walked towards them..

He sat in the middle again, looked at Tej..
O, Tum Abh Ye Maano ,
turned towards Adi, Ya Naa Maano Meri Jaan..

Tej and Adi both glared at Maan, who was lost in his own world.

God save us from more drama. Adi looked up and prayed. Tej too joined him..

I loved this part... for some reason I too (like Maan) felt a bit envious of Jay.. may be cos I felt a bit sorry for Maan really. He is not a bad guy.. is he?? Till the end of the part I kept expecting Jay to only be a part of Geet's plan..😆 but alas.. it looks like they are actually engaged.. 🥺

It kind of felt ekdum ajeeb to hear Geet call him jaan.. or was it jaanu... yikess.. didnt like that at all... What to do... me and my nazuk heart... only wants MaanEet... 😉😆

Oyee... I hope it is MaanEet in the future... warna jutha's and chappals for you... definitely...😡😆
