Maan was discharged from the hospital after giving proper instructions..He was now sitting near geet, in the backseat of a taxi that they had hired, and were headin home.
Eager,thrilled,excited-well he was running short of adjectives to describe how he felt.Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that god would be so kind to him.He had come to this city with a sole objective of tracing geet.He wanted to apologise to her after al that he had done to her,and here,destiny had something different in store for him.. He shuddered at the very thought of how he had done al those cruel things to her..He didn't deserve her,did he?

College life was going smooth til then...Till the day,they had that patch up convo with rohan..Maan felt a pang of jealousy wash over him,whenever he saw rohan speak to her..whenever he joined them over for lunch..whenever he asked geet to help him out with computers..whenever he "looked" at geet!
But the day he completely lost his cool, still lay fresh in his mind.They were in the second year now..It was the day before his birthday..He hadn't seen geet since morning.It was almost the third lecture of the day and she had not yet come to class.It was very unlike geet to miss her lecdtures and he was now starting to get worried for her.As soon as the lunch break began, he tried calling her.But she wasn't picking up.He thought he would go over to her place and that was when he saw rohan walkin over to a secluded corner in the veranda.He thought of askin rohan about geet and that was when he heard him talk over the phone ..eventhough he knew it was bad manners to eavesdrop,maan simply couldn't resist the temptation when he heard rohan sayin "Geet.."
he quickly hid behind a pillow and tried listening to rohan..
"haan geet..maan ko kuch pata nahi chala hei,aur haan aage bhi kuch pata nahi hoga..apne aap ko ainvai smart samjh raha hei woh...
naaa..he doesn't have a clue about us or our plans sweet heart!so..just chill alright!and continue ignoring his calls!take care princess..rakhtha hoon"
Maan couldn't believe what he had just heard..He stood there numb,tears rolling down his cheeks.He felt betrayed,shattered and numb..

"kahaan kho gaye maan?we've reached home.."he looked around and found that they were now at her place,her home..
Maan had hi walking stick to help him walk,but geet supported him too and he willingly took her help.The effect of the pain killers were wearing out and he could now feel acute pain in the injured area.He somehow hopped in,taking tiny steps and entered the living room.He could see two doors-one to the right,a little ahead and another to his immediate left..he quickly turned to the left,hoping that it wud be geet's room and was delighted to hear geet fumbling,and asking him if he cud walk straight.He gave no ears to her pleas..Instead made the cutest puppy face and said "peir dukh raha hei..mujhse aur nahi chala jaayega"and he was right!The girl melted right away..
He was seated on the bed-correction,her bed!And the thought gave him immense pleasure..Hie eyes caught the framed pic of geet and rohan,on the corner table and memories had the better of him..

Maan was simply too disturbed to attend class after listening to geet-rohan convo.He immediately tried calling geet,but was shocked to get no response from her.He then tried the coin box,and she picked in just two rings!So, she was avoiding him,wasen't she..
He felt cheated and humiliated!A part of him told him that he was over reacting and that even if geet was going out with rohan,its her personal thing!But the other part-the majorly hurt one, felt different!Maan had stopped calling her and spent a sleepless night,rolling over the bed,trying to fight tears..At sharp 12'o clock,his mobile phone rang,and he saw it was geet!But he was too hurt or angry to pick up her call..He switched off his phone and tried getting some sleep..
The next day,he entered the class room,and he didn't even glance toward the second bench-geet's usual place.Instead he went straight and sat near sasha,much to the surprise of the entire class and sasha herself!
Sasha was the only daughter of her rich parents and was a completely spoilt girl.She would always try to flirt with maan,and tried insulting geet in every possible way,especially by calling her a "behenji"..But maan wud hardly pay attention to her or her skimply clad body,and nor would geet get provoked by her bickering!But this was unbelievable and she didn't want to miss out on this.."Happy birthday sweet heart"she said and kissed him on his cheeks..And then what followed,shocked everyone.Maan had thanked her and kissed her back,not on her lips,but very close-dangerously close!Sasha was delighted..!Finally,she had got what she always wanted-The hottest guy in class,wait,no- hottest guy in college..
Meanwhile a terribly upset geet kept lookin at him,in utter shock and disbelief!She knew he'd be mad at her for not picking up his calls,but thought that the surprise party she had planned for him would make up for all his gussa..But was she wrong??And soon the professor had come in..she badly wanted to talk to maan and take him to that special place where she had arranged so much for him..so when the recess bell rang,she rushed to him..
"hey maan..canteen chalen?"
"uhmm..actually geet,i was planning on taking sasha out for lunch..Waise bhi im bored with the canteen ka khana..he said that looking at her,and somewhere geet knew that he wasn't just bored with the food,but with her as well!
"You can join us if you want to..Magar wahan tumhari daal sabzi nahin milegi.Sirf continental khana hoga..Waise i think u shud stay here.You would look soo outta place and downmarket there,in this lowclass cheap salwar kameez,miss.Behenji!She then turned to maan who had a very calm face,as though he wasleast affected..Chalo baby..lets get going.."said sasha and caught his arm,letting her entire chest fall on his arms..
"haan..lets go.."and maan had left without even lookin back at her once..
Geet stood there numb and slowly things sank in..She always thought maan considered her as a good friend and cared for her,though she didn't know why..She knew he could get any girl he wanted and somewhere she was also scared of al the care and affection he showered on her!And today her worst fears came true..
