Part 5:

Maan stood dumb-founded'.he was expecting Geet here'.but not in this look'Geet was wearing an apron'.with her hair tied in a ponytail...looking at him weirdly'.but what was more weird was she was wearing a summer dress?...How come the Geet who despised Dresses was wearing one?

Was she sane? When her voice bought him back from his thoughts and she said:'Planning to come in or what?'

M-Oh yeah'

And he entered'.the living room was nicely decorated'.it was pretty elegant and simple'a few paintings, a nice plasma TV, a few sofa's and a coffee table and that was it and that was when he noticed at the far-end some photographs'.he was going to check them out when Rahul came up to him:

R-Mr.Maan'please come in..

M-Of course'

He went and sat down on the sofa and rahul sat across him'

R-Mr.Maan what would u like Tea,Coffee?

M-Coffee'black no sugar'

R-Isnt that way bitter?

M-I prefer things bitter'.sweet things aren't always sweet'

R-Your wish'Geet would you make coffee for Mr.Maan?

G-Of course and what about you?

R-The regular'

G-Okay'

She disappeared in the kitchen'Maan was thinking she was really his fianc that's why she's making coffee in his house and she knows what he drinks...didn't you see how casually she was dressed'he didn't know why but this thought hurt him that Geet was someone else's'wasn't she supposed to be his forever?

**Flashback**

M-Geet'.what if your parents don't agree to our relationship what will you do?

G-Hmmm'.Maan I will run away with you'

M-But what if you cant? And they make you get married to someone else? Then?

G-Shhh'.Maan'.Geet sirf Maan ki hai'kisi aur ki hona se pehle mein maarjana prefer karogi'

M-Tumne kabse cheesy lines bolna seekhle?

G-Arey'.tum ho na my tutor'always throwing cheesy lines at me so I thought why not'

Maan didn't wait for anything else he just pulled her in a huge hug'

**Flashback ends**

He snapped out when Rahul said something'..he discussed some changes to which Maan only nodded'

Geet was fuming just because she had told she was Rahul's fianc she had to act like that'.and to prove it Maan she was making coffee for him'how she wished she could put some rat poison and kill rahul and Maan both'Both just put her in trouble'she made coffee for Maan and Tea for Rahul and went in the living room'she gave Maan's coffee to him and Rahul his tea:

R-Arey'.what about you?

G-I don't feel like it'.

R-Nahi'..you have to Geet'

Geet was already in a bad mood but she didn't want to take her frustration out on Rahul so she said:'Okay fine just give me some of your tea..'

Maan choked on his coffee listening to Geet's words what did she say?

'Give me some of your tea?'

That meant she was really engaged to this guy?

But she didn't have any shame?...she was saying all this in front of a client?

But somewhere deep down something broke'.thinking that Geet no longer was his something broke inside him'.he could hear the echo and an unbearable pain shot through is heart which created a lump in his throat'he could feel a wetness in his eyes:

**Flashback**

M-Geet'yeh dekho na how's it?

Geet turned and looked at what Maan was holding and a smile formed on her lips which made Maan's heart burst with joy'.oh how he could die for that smile'.he could reach any extent's just to see that smile on her face'.she bought him out of his thoughts by saying:

G-Maan you did this purposely na?

M(acting all innocent)-Did what Geet?

Geet pouted'..Maan(st)-Oh she looks so cute with that pout I could just eat her up

G-Maaannn''your way too sweet'

Maan pulled her in his arms and said:'I would do anything for my Misthi'.'

Geet pecked his cheeks and said:'I love you'

Oh how his heart missed a beat when ever she said those words'.

Maan just looked at the card once more and smiled'

The card said:'Maan weds Geet''

In red and white both'he had specially merged both the colours so Geet wouldn't choose white for him and he wouldn't choose red for her'they both would be happy'

**Flashback ends**

He looked up with a sad smile'how he missed those moments but knew he couldn't have them back now that Geet was no more his'

He snapped out of all this and thought why did he care'Geet could be anyone's he didn't give a damn about'for all he cared she could go to hell'he couldn't believe he had lost his composure for a few minutes'.but he was back and that too with poison filling his heart and hatred ruling his mind he had only one thought in his mind:' Getting back at Geet Handa''

Geet had noticed the change of emotions that went through Maan's face'she noticed happiness first,then sadness and at last pure hatred and she knew it was for none other then her'.she smiled inwardly thinking:What does he think he's the only one who hates me?...well then he is wrong I hate him more then he hates me'more then he can imagine'.he hurt me like no one ever did and no one ever could'she was now a woman of stone due to this man who was sitting in front of her'the man she had loved to no extents and stabbed her right through her heart'had crushed all emotions that ran through her heart'the one who had thought her heart to love'was the sole reason of its destruction'.she sighed thinking how this one month would pass'and looked up at Rahul thinking:'Was there no other construction company?'

She just shook her head and motioned rahul to come closer to her'and whispered:'Rahul woh mein I cant come to Shimla'woh Arohi need's me here'its better you go handle it your self'please?

Rahul whispered back:'Okay but you take care of everything with this project then?

Geet just nodded her head'her eyes flickered towards Maan who was watching them intently'she moved a bit back'and then they started discussing the project'.

Her mouth opened wide looking at the person sitting across her'what was he doing here?

She had found out the guy she kept bumping into was none other then Arjun Khurana'but what was he doing here? Was he following her?...She knew he was also the reason of her sister's destruction'and she loathed him and she knew very well he would do nothing then hurt her but why was he here?

She looked at Vicky and said:'Vicks,lets dine somewhere else..'

V-But why Aru?

A-Woh'just change of heart..

She didn't want to bother him'she knew Arjun was like his brother and she didn't want to declare her discomfort'

V-Aru'.come on please na?

A-Theek hai

Even though she was not willing she knew she would hurt Vicky who had made all these arrangements just for her so she agreed'.

He had just finished his meeting when his eyes fell on her'she was walking in arm linked with Vicky his eyes burned at the sight before him'his anger shot up to no extents'he was not a man who would lose his anger that easily but he didn't know why he could so angry at this sight his hand curled in a fist'his knuckles turned white due to his nails digging in his palms'.he didn't know the reason of his anger'he thought maybe it was due to seeing Geet's sister but somewhere deep down he knew it was because he saw her with Vicky'

Midnight:

Geet was lying in her bed thinking about what had happened today'.it was all a mess'but she thanked Babji Maan hadn't said much during the meeting'he had left as soon as it was over'no comments nothing she was shocked at first but then thought who cares?

Maan was tossing and turning only he knew how he had kept calm seeing Rahul and Geet together specially when they were whispering'.he thought any moment he would kill rahul but he had maintained calm not wanting to show her it affected him to see her with someone else'but then staring at the ceiling he himself thought'.Why do I care she's with Rahul'do I really love her?

He shook his head this was not possible it was just anger and the will to get revenge when he was not happy'.he would not let her stay happy'.that was it..

Arohi kept staring at the ceiling she was thinking how come he didn't say anything?

She had thought he would come up to them and say something nasty but he didn't he just kept sitting there while she and Vicky had dinner and left'he just sat there but occasionally she saw him look at them'but when she looked at him he turned his attention to his food'she was wondering why is he all alone?

Then she thought a person like this can never have friends'

But she was feeling restless'.why hadn't he said anything?

She then shrugged off all such thoughts and said:'Why do I care?'''I don't give a damn..'

And closed her eyes trying to get some sleep'

Sleep was no where near him right now'he was just rolling on his bed'.oh only he knew how he had controlled himself from going to their table and not saying something nasty'.he remained quiet knowing that was the only way he could carry out his plans'by getting in her good books'.but she didn't know what she would go through'.but he had occasionally felt her eyes on him'those beautiful eyes that were so soft'.when you looked in them it were as if you were reading a book'those brown eyes had held so many emotions that even his heart didn't carry those many emotions'he chuckled when he remembered her nose flare up in anger when he had spilled water over her'

He jerked up and thought:'Why am I laughing because of a girl?'

This was the first time he had been happy because of a girl'he just shook his head and said:'I have to hurt her'that's it''

But somewhere deep down he knew he was wrong but he just ignored all such feelings and lay down thinking how he would carry out his plan the next time he would see her'and with that one last thought'he tried falling asleep..

Sleep was a very sad affair for the four of them'they would toss and turn but sleep wouldn't come'finally around dawn they fell in a deep slumber but to their luck it was one full of nightmares and bad memories'

Morning:

Her phone was continuously ringing'she was searching for it with her eyes closed'.she finally found it and without looking at the caller id she pressed the accept button'but the voice she heard on the other line bought her out of her sleep'

(one-sided convo)

G-Kya?

When?

Theek Hai'.i'll be at KC I have some things to discuss with Mr.Khurana regarding the project'

No'I'll be there the whole day'maybe till midnight'coz Rahul wants the project to start ASAP'''..

Hahaha'''.Theek'..chal bye'

She looked at the time it was almost 9'she was dead tired but she knew she had to go to KC and start on the project'.she dreaded it but she knew nothing could be done'she got up and went to get ready'

He was waiting for her to come'he knew she had to come since the project had to be started right away'.when someone knocked his door'he just said:'Come in'..

A girl walked in'Maan looked at her and:

M-What do you want?

Girl-Woh..Mr.Maan im looking for Rahul'he's working with KC and I believe he had a meeting today so I wonder if he's here?

M-No'he has gone to Shimla didn't he inform you?

Girl-I was outta town I just returned'

Maan just nodded..

Girl-Okay...i'll take leave then'

She was walking away when Maan thought who was this girl'so:

M-Excuse me who are you?

Girl-Kavita..

M-No'.i mean to Mr.Rahul'.

K-Oh'im his girlfriend'

M-Ok'

Then his mouth opened wide when he registered her words'.what girlfriend?

But Geet had said she was engaged to him?

Did that mean she had lied'.his heart fluttered with joy'yes Geet was still his'she wasn't that Rahul's'

When suddenly he snapped out of it and smirked and thought:'Ms.Geet Handa now it will be more fun to avenge myself'.you lied to me'what did you thinking I would leave you if you said you were engaged'.no'never'you will pay for hurting Maan Singh Khurana'

Arjun looked at her from the corner of his eyes'he saw her standing at the chat stall'he was thinking how to approach her?

He walked towards her slowly'..and stopped besides her'.

A-Ummm'.woh'Ms.Arohi...

She looked up at him'.and he saw shock and happiness reflect on her face but so quickly replaced by anger'he thought maybe he had imagined it'he heard her ask in a cold voice:'What are you doing here?'

Arj-Woh'Ms.Arohi'.im sorry I mean we started off the wrong foot and the other day I spilled water on you and didn't even say sorry'im really sorry'.

He looked hopefully at her face wanting to see his plan work'but no all he saw was that stern expression as if it were glued on her face'he sighed it was not going to be easy to woe her'.he needed to try something harder'but he was Arjun Singh Khurana'.if he wanted something he got it and right now he wanted Arohi so he could take revenge from Geet'..he choose a few words and started again'

Arohi stopped eating her chat when she heard him speak for a moment she felt shocked and then happiness but then going through whatever had happened anger coursed her body'he was also one of the people who had hurt her Di'.Di always use to tell her about him'how he was her small bro but what had he done not trusted her in the end just like Maan'..yet he had the audacity to stand in front of her and apologize?

She felt this urge to slap him but then one part of her heart said Maybe he does regret what he did'and he is repenting'maybe I should forgive him but he hasn't caused me pain has he?

It was Di he hurt he should say sorry to her but then maybe he is ashamed and wants to start from me I should forgive him for the whole airport-beach thing'while the other part said Maybe he's up to something may be he's planning something maybe he wants to hurt me and Di more?

Finally she emerged from her thoughts listening to him say:' Hey im Arjun'Can we be friends?

I wish to start new'.please?

Aro-I'll think about it'.

Arj-Okay'.not friends but at least you can forgive me?

Arohi thought there was no harm in forgiving him and thought why not?

Aro-Okay'.

Arj-So would you like to have an ice-cream?

Arohi stared at him and he quickly added:'Just because you forgave me no other reasons I want pay for ruining your dress and for behaving rude?'

Arjun anxiously waited for her answer'.he was nervous not because he was scared his plan wasn't working but he genuinely wanted her to say yes'he didn't know why but he had the urge to spend time with her'.

She stepped in KC'..and sighed she didn't know what awaited her today'she did have this bad feeling but she thought she would face everything after all she was Geet Handa'.she walked towards Maan's cabin and knocked she heard him say:'Come in..'

She walked in and sat across him and handed him a file:

G-Mr.Khurana I guess you should go through this file'these are a few requirements'we want for this project'

Maan just smirked'.she wondered what was up with him he had been smirking since the moment she had entered he wasn't even responding to what she was saying'she had been holding the file he wasn't taking it'.what was with him?

Maan smirked when he saw Geet enter his cabin'.he knew she was gone today he would make her pay for what she had said'so he slowly got up and stood behind her placing his hands on the table in such a way that it blocked Geet from getting up and slowly bend his mouth towards her ears and said:'So'you're engaged haan?'

Geet's heartbeat quickened the moment he walked towards she knew something was up'.but didn't know what'the way he was smirking and walking she knew he was up to no good'and when he asked her that question she knew he knew'.her cover was blown'.

She was nervous but she shook it all away and answered confidently and bitterly:

G-Mr.Khurana that is none of your business we are here to discuss the project not my personal life'

She was feeling uncomfortable with him standing like this so she pushed her chair backwards taking him unprepared so he stumbled and fell backwards and she stood up and kept the file on the table and:

G-I will go get some coffee while you go through this file Mr.Khurana then we will discuss the project and start it'

She walked towards the door'.when he pulled her back catching hold of her wrist'she banged in his chest'.she got furious what did he think of himself this was the 3^rd time he was doing this after her several warning'she was tired of this'.she screamed:'MR.MAAN SINGH KHURANA IS THIS THE LEVEL YOU HAVE STOOPED TOO?

I NEVER EXPECTED YOU TO HAVE NO STANDARDS AND SELF-RESPECT EVEN AFTER WARNING YOU'.YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO HOLD ME'..LEAVE ME RIGHT NOW''

Maan was kind of taken aback at seeing Geet like that but he quickly regained his firmness and said:' No ways are you leaving today without giving some answers'.'

G-You are no one to me'.so I have no reason to give you any answers'

M-You have to give me answers'.today and right now'

G-I will not

M-So you are engaged to Rahul?

G-So what if I'm not its my life my wish'

M-Of course'.you didn't need to lie before I know you haven't moved on you still love me don't you Misthi?'

He knew what effect this word would have on her'so he smirked inwardly'

She was shell-shocked'oh how she would melt when ever he would call her that'.and today was no different'she melted when he called her that with love and care in his eyes'she stopped struggling against his hold and relaxed but she knew she couldn't break the mask of stone on her face so she spat back with all the poison she could maintain in her voice:'Mr.Khurana you better have your dictionary checked such words are used for GF or fianc's or wives not for clients and as for me loving you not even in a 100 years'.that would not even happen in anyone's dreams'do you understand?

He was shocked at her reply'she didn't have the affect he knew he would see he just saw her eyes burn with anger'.and there was no change in her expressions only her voice held more venom then before he had so confidently thought she would melt when he said that word but she hadn't'his anger level shot up so she had moved on well she need to worry MSK will never let her forgive him first it was due to his love now it would be due to hatred'.

He took both her wrists in her hand and pushed her backwards pinning her to the wall'.he bought his face so close to hers he could smell her body fragrance which hadn't changed in all these years it was just as appealing as before maybe even more'he was trying not to lose himself but he failed miserably'he slowly rubbed his nose against her cheek on which he received a glare from Geet and more hurtful words on which he snapped out of the trance and tightened the grip on her wrist's knowing he was hurting her but he didn't care her pain was nothing compared to what he feeling for all these years and he spat out:'Tell me what are you doing here? Why have you come back?...Why haan why?

And how dare you speak to me and my brother like that?'

G-Mr.Khurana you are hurting me please leave me'

M-I don't care'..answer me..

G-You are hurting me'leave me

M-ANSWER ME

G-LEAVE ME

**BOOM**

He had received a hard blow on his face by someone due to which he fell backwards'with a loud

**THUD**

He didn't know who hit him'.he looked up but he couldn't see anything'he was feeling dizzy due to the blow'.his eyes refocused after sometime but all he could see was Geet hugging someone'and someone rubbing her back and soothing her'.
