Geet has invited her friends John and NT for dinner'Maan cooked because he didn't want Geet to strain herself'

John, NT and Geet cracked jokes, talked about the good old times when they were always together and about the year when they were separated'Maan watched their bonding'Seeing Geet happy made him happy but not being the reason for her happiness made him feel down'He noticed something else'The way John looked at Geet'the admiration the love'Maan was fuming'how can he look at his wife like that'but Maan won't create a scene'

After dinner Geet and NT went to the kitchen'Maan told Geet that he would do the dishes but Geet refused'NT promised him that she would help'

So Maan was left alone with John in the living room'first it was awkward silence in the room'

John: so how is your business going Maan'?

Maan: fine and your work?

John smiled: good but without Geet it is not the same you know?

Maan clenched his teethes: hmmm'

John: I heard the reason why she resigned'you made her giving up something that she loved beyond everything'

Maan: I didn't force her'I did what I needed to do for my business and reputation and she did what she thought was right'

John: so you think that building a chemical factory near a village is a right thing'? Drive away the villagers who lived since generation there is a right thing'and not letting a journalist do her job is a right thing'being selfish is never a right thing Maan

Maan: this is business John'not a game'.you journalists see just the wrapping and then you believe you know everything'do you know how many people will get a job because of the project'do you know that we offered every inhabitant of that village an apartment and money'as a businessman I have to look for the profit'because there are thousands of families who depend on me and my company' if you write a wrong article it will only ruin you but if I take one wrong decision thousands of families would lose everything'so yes John then I am selfish'and I am glad that you worry about my wife's career'but trust me she is mature enough to take the right decisions without anybody telling her what to do'and if Geet wants to write again then believe nobody can stop her from doing so'because Geet is more than capable to achieve whatever she wants'as a good friend of her you should know that'

John smiled and thought: I know that you are the right one for her'and I will make sure that Geet and you will get back together again'

John: calm down Maan'the journalist in me comes sometime over me and I ask a lot of questions'I am sorry'

Maan: its ok John' the businessman in me comes over me always'so I don't let anyone question me'but you are Geets friend that's the reason why I answered you'

Then you should consider yourself lucky John, they heard NT saying'

NT and Geet entered the room'

Geet looked lost'Maan assumed that she heard everything'

NT: super Maan'

But Maan didn't take his eyes off Geet'

In Geets mind these words of Maan were ringing again and again: and I am glad that you worry about my wife's career'but trust me she is mature enough to take the right decisions without anybody telling her what to do'and if Geet wants to write again then believe nobody can stop her from doing so'because Geet is more than capable to achieve whatever she wants'as a good friend of her you should know that'
