Maan woke up immediately and walked up to her side.

" Geet!! Jaan, how do you feel now?"

" Why did you bring me here? Mujhe yahaan nahin rehna. Mujhe jana hai,"she tried to sit up when the blanked slipped exposing her shoulders, and she screamed out aloud.

" Mere kapde!! Maan aap ne yeh kya kiya? Kal raat!!! Mujhe kuch yaad kyun nahin aa raha hai.. Mujhe chor dena kaafi nahin tha ke aapne mere saath'", she clutched the sheets tightly to her body and cried out loud.

" Nahin Geet' Tum galat samajh raahi ho. Tumhe sponge bath dena tha aur'"

" Aur aapne socha ke iski izzat toh waise bhi nahin hain toh kya farq parta hai hain na? Mujhe nafrat hain aapse Maan. Main yahaan nahin rahungi. Aapke aas paas agar rahii toh main mar jaungi. I hate you Maan. I hate you!!!"she started hitting him with her fists as he came close to calm her down.

" Wait Geet!!! Tumhe sponge bath maine diyatha. Maan ne hi mujhse kaha tha. He' he didn't touch you last night. After you fainted, he brought you in here!!!", Pari ran into the room desperately and started explaining, but Geet started breathing hard and lost conscious yet again. Maan held her up immediately and made her lie down on the bed gently.

" Pari!! Get the doctor'now", he said desperately.

After giving her another sedative, the doctor left. Pari tried to talk to Maan," Why didn't you tell her? You were standing there listening to her accusations!!! I mean'."

" Its ok Pari. She was right, anyone would have freaked out. And she has every right to be angry on me!! After all, I am responsible for whatever she is going through today!! Aur waise bhi, mere upar gussa nahin nikale toh kisper nikale!!!" he said smiling sadly.

It was almost 10pm when Geet gained consciousness. Maan was sitting on a chair near the bed, and as soon as she saw him, she tried to get up but Maan held her by the shoulders gently.

" Geet please, just listen to me once. Main jantaa hoon humare beech mein jo huwa, uske bad tum mera chehra bhi nahin dekhna chahti, mere saath rehna toh dur ki baat hai. Main tumhare layak nahin hoon Geet. You deserve someone way better than me. Lekin tumhari yeh halat meri wajah se huwi hai. Please stay with me till you recover, let me take care of you, look after you atleast till you are healthy again. Main tumse wada karta hoon, I will not ask you to stay back with me or forgive me. Ek bar tum thik ho jao, phir tum jo chahti ho wahi hoga, jaisa tum kahogi main waisa hi karunga. Please Jaa' I mean Geet.. Aakhri baar meri baat manlo."

" Lekin aap jitney paise mere elaj ke liye kharch karenge, woh lautane ki haesiat nahin hain meri. I don't want you to spend anything on me that I wont be able to pay back.", she spit out rudely and then felt a sharp pang of regret as she saw Maan's eyes cloud with shock, guilt, pain and sadness!! She thought, she saw tears in his eyes, but before she could make sure, Maan turned his face away.

The silence was uncomfortable and heavy with remorse, indecision, pain and regret.

" Thik hai. Lekin sirf kuch dino ke liye!!"

The days passed as Maan spent hours looking after Geet. He got the tests done, and had a 24-hr nurse, who gave her the baths and changes she needed. He never touched her, except when he fed her medicines or food. They hardly talked to each other, but Geet had caught Maan staring at her lovingly and silently many times when she pretended to sleep.

" He loves you so much Geet!!",Pari sighed as she sat on the bed drinking coffee." I wish I find someone like him too. The way he looks at you, the way he holds you is enough to make anyone crazy. I mean, ever since the day he carried you in here, he hasn't even slept properly. I'm just glad you are here."

That night, Maan came in to feed her the meds. Geet stared at him as he slipped his hand gently under the blanket, and gripped her waist softly. He helped her to sit up, their faces inches apart, and his breath fell on her parted lips, giving her a splendid sensation. He gave her the meds and water, wiping her lips, his thumb lingering on her lower lip. He then gently held her shoulders, and slowly lowered her on the bed, wrapping the blanket. He was moving away, when Geet held his hand and he froze on his tracks. It had been weeks that Geet had touched him. He missed her touch, love, affection, laughter so much' he turned around with a smile on his face, which was short-lived.

" Maan!! Meri tabiyat aab thik hai. Mujhe yahaan se jana hai. I think it's time for me to leave your house!!!"

PRECAP: " Mujhe chor ke mat jao Geet. I am sorry!!"

"Aap ne mujhse wada kiya tha Maan ke ek bar main thik ho gayi toh aap mujhe nahin rokenge!!"
