Chapter 40
Abhay walked slowly towards Armaan's house. He knew what the condition of the house will be even before he reached there.
Armaan was a complete mental mess trying to keep his feelings for Fiza at bay at the same time trying to win back her trust.
After all he too wanted, wished, craved the same thing from Ayesha.
He found Armaan still in the same position staring at Fiza's photograph as if willing it to come alive so he could explain things.
Abhay: "Armaan heal that hand bro"
Armaan jerked and looked at him. He then glanced at his hand.
Armaan(healing the hand): "Wish it was this easy to heal our hearts….but alas"
Abhay: "I have tried to throw some light into Fiza's brain….hope it will work"
Armaan(sarcastic smirk on his face): "Yeah right…..she blasted me for saving her from that b***** Anukalp….just because I placed a bet on her friends heart….I agree that it was really wrong on my part and its hard to trust me…..but how the hell could she stop me from giving that animal a good lesson"
Abhay(sighing) : "Armaan bro you are trying to understand a girl…..I assure you in all my human and vampire life that's something I could never accomplish"
A small smile appeared on Armaan's and Abhay's face.
At the Witches Enclave in the northern zone of the forest…..
Anukalp: "Well now you know what or more precisely who we are dealing with"
Shabd: "No wonder the vibes were so strong when we were near them"
Nikki: "But how the hell do we tell the girls that Armaan is a vampire not to forget Abhay"
Anu(stunned): "Abhay!!!!"
Nikki(non-plussed): "Yeah he is…..I tested him with silver yesterday…..he wasn't able to touch it for more than two seconds"
Shabd: "Wow! Brilliant!…as if one wasn't enough….thank goodness that these two broke up with the girls…else"
Nikki(contemplating): "Don't judge so fast….we are dealing with heart here….which is the most faithful and most fickle thing"
Ayesha's house….
Fiza changed into a shorts and spaghetti top and decided to call it a night.
But her mind had other plans. It kept constantly straying towards the dangerously handsome and sexy stranger who had managed to completely rock her world within the matter of a month. She was cursing every waking moment of her existence for getting so bloody close to Abhay both emotionally and physically.
She didn't know how she had wavered from her strong principles. It was true that she was the only child to her parents but they had raised her with strong morals. Which she had sent down the drain the moment she fell for Abhay.
But why do I still feel that he loves me Ayesha quizzed herself.
Can his eyes be lying to me as well
They get filled with jealousy every time he sees me with someone else.

She dialed Fiza. This was a habit she and Fiza had lately fallen into, when in distress.
Fiza(before hello): "Disturbed na I know"
Aysha: "Di shall we go on a night drive"
Fiza(doubtfully) : "Umm yeah but how will we get out….Dad will kill me if he comes to know"
Ayesha: "Use the back gate and be stealthy….I will come with my car in fifteen minutes….no need to change…whose gonna see us in the night"
Before Fiza could protest Aysh cut the call.
Fiza: "Well I can't let her go alone"
Half an hour later the girls were in Aysha's car.
Ayesha: "Di how can one man affect as so much"
Fiza(skeptically): "I would be very relieved if I could figure that out myself"
Ayesha stopped the car in front of the path towards their haven.
Fiza(looking around) : "Aysha why have you stopped the car here….darling are you forgetting the fact that its midnight"
Ayesha(smiling): "No di….I haven't….this path leads AFSANNS haven….I often come here when I feel distraught….our happy memories calm me down….come lets go for a stroll"
Fiza: "Not a good idea dear especially now…..I mean its midnight and this forest very notorious for its beasts"
Ayesha(rolls eyes) : "Di come on….don't be such a scaredy cat….lets go" she pulled Fiza's hand.
Fiza(sighing): "Okay but not for long huh"
Ayesha gets out and picks up two torches, handing one to Fiza.
They reach the spot in 20 minutes.
They settled down on a rock and lowered their legs into water.
Fiza(sighing): "You are right its so peaceful here"
Ayesha(gazing into the water): "Told you so…by the way Fiza di….I think you should forgive Armaan…..forgive him but don't forget his mistake….after all it wasn't all his fault na…..plus he had withdrawn the bet to"
They were so lost in the peace and calm of the place that they didn't notice the time fly by.
Fiza(looks at her watch): "Oh gosh Aysh lets
head back….its 2"
Ayesha: "OMG….2 lets go"
They rose up and had moved only about a feet when they heard the howling. Both froze in their tracks.
Within seconds they were surrounded by vicious looking wolves.
Next instant the girls were shielded by two pairs of strong arms.
Abhay: "Armaan get these two out of here….I will deal with the wolves"
Armaan: "Abhay….Mom and Dad are reaching here"
Chand and Haseena zoomed in and started fighting off the wolves.
When they were able to get a break in the circle the guys took the girls out.
Fiza and Ayesha were completely stunned.
Fiza recovered first.
Ayesha: "Ab…Ab …Abhay what are you doing here" Abhay was immediately lost in her eyes. He could see the love she still had for him. Her eyes also held questions for him.
Armaan who had wiped out Fiza's memory of ever coming there indicated Abhay to do the same. The girls fainted
Abhay recovered and did it.
Chand: "The wolves are gone for now…. we are lucky that these were normal wolves"
Haseena: "Leave them at their homes boys"
Abhay nodded.
Armaan headed towards Fiza's and Abhay towards Ayesha's.
Abhay carefully placed Ayesha on her bed. He saw a small cut on her arm and healed it with his touch. He placed a kiss on her forehead.
Abhay: "Ayesha I can't forget you but neither can I give you the life an angel like you deserves….what do I do"
Next day in class……
Ayesha(whispering): " That's what I am trying to tell you….I feel like something is wrong….I remember planning to go to our haven….but then I found myself in bed today morning"
Nidha(whispers back): "Well first of all you shouldn't never ever go to our haven at midnight….secondly I called you at 10 you were home….so probably you were so damn tired that you didn't notice that you fell asleep"
Professor: "Miss.Nidha….if you aren't interested in the lecture get out"
Nidha(scrunching her face): "Sorry ma'am"
During the break Sur, Nidha, Ayesha were walking towards the canteen when.
Sanju(distraught): "How could you do this Kabir…I mean what about all those promises and all"
Kabir(bored): "Listen Sanjana meri policy flavour of the week hain….you were a little longer than the usuals….so darling we are over"
Sanju(tearfully): "Thanks Kabir….I actualy wanted to hear all this from you….mujhe tumpar pehle se hi shakh tha….Anky ke warning ke baath tho mujhe aur bhi shakh ho gaya tha….I just needed a confirmation and I got it….I feel hurt Kabir but not so much maybe because somewhere I expected this end…..Kabir a heart is a gift that God gives to the most luckiest on earth….I hope you get one…..if that happens don't break it like mine"
Anky who was coming from the other end had heard this too.
Anky(looking furiously at Kabir): "Sanju all this will not go into this morons head….a heartless beast can never understand what heart is"
Kabir stared into Anky's doe eyes. Anky looked boldly back into his.
Ayesha was reminded of the Abhay's eyes which strangely seemed to roam in her memory since last night.
