PART 7

She couldn't bear the heat suddenly. The sunlight was disturbing her. Her mom knew she did not like the sunlight disrupting her sleep. She would have to do some screaming after she could gather some strength to get up from her bed. She couldn't even smell her coffee, which she liked in bed. Martha, the caretaker of her house, had it ready everyday on her bedside table, because she liked to wake up to the smell of a hot steaming cup of coffee. Frowning in her half sleepy state she opened her eyes and saw she was in an unknown place. Shocked and worried she sat right up only to see him coming out from the bathroom.

And then Geet remembered.

Her trip to India, her so called husband, her shabby one bedroom house, her wedding and those wedding vows. And she remembered the kiss. The worst part being she actually enjoyed it. But she brushed the thoughts aside thinking it must be because it had been quite some time since she had gone out with anyone. So she lost control. It was no big deal and two people all alone, things can happen, she wouldn't think about it much. She looked up at him, he had a towel hanging from his neck, water still dripping from his back and it looked like he trimmed his stubble a little. His track pants were worn below his navel and one could clearly see he was showing off his boxers which read Armani. Geet scoffed at it. Must be fake. But she admitted he had a sexy body. She could see his lean back, and when he picked up the brush, his muscles flexed. She decided she liked his forearms, lean and perfectly shaped and most importantly waxed. She hated men who had so much of hair in their body. From last night's unexpected encounter, she could tell he smelled rather good for a guy. Geet always preferred men who smelt nice.

Maan stood infront of the mirror brushing his hair. He could see Geet checking him out from the mirror. He smirked as he remembered the steaming kiss last night. And then frowned at the thought of how much he liked it. Coming to a conclusion of getting caught in the moment he dismissed the thought. She was his wife after all and tomorrow if they do more than just kissing, should not be a problem too. It was only normal if two people all alone get attracted to each other.

"Good Morning Angel." He said with a sly smirk playing on his lips. "I am sure you had a good night's sleep!" He continued. "Sorry to break your bubble but you have to work on your own breakfast. Now hurry up and get some cooking done before you starve to death." He said while putting on a shirt.

Geet did not want to get in any early morning bickering so she dragged herself out of bed and went into the washroom to get freshened up. Quickly brushing her teeth and washing her face with a face wash, she changed into her sweats. She liked going for a walk every day, it was healthy and helped her stay fit. And taking a walk here would help her learn and adapt to her surroundings. She thought she'll make a quick breakfast and head out to explore.

She heard the door open and close, and guessed Maan had left. She wondered what he did for a living. Wow! Married and no idea what the husband did to pay his day to day expenses. Was he even going to work now, that he took money from her stepfather? She thought to herself. She thought she would wait until he returned to ask about his life. He knew a lot about her, her stepfather obviously told him, but she didn't know anything about him. And when he returned, she will ask.

What if he never came back? Maybe he ran away with the money, she thought in her mind. But there was something inside her which made her believe in him and she knew he would return to her and won't leave her to face it all alone.

Going inside the kitchen she saw that Maan had kept the utensils in their proper places and washed them all. She was quite surprised at his thoughtful gesture. Atleast he tried to help her in some sort. Even though she always had maids attending to her every need, she could still make her own coffee and have her cereal ready. She could even make waffles, something she learned in her spare time at the rehab.

Filling herself with a cup of coffee and cereal, she head out of the door. She locked the door and got in the lift to descend. Getting out of the lift, she saw people walking around in sarees. She was in her sweats and people were staring at her. She saw the address of the apartment they were staying at on a board that hung on the walls and took note of it so that if she got lost people could help her find it.

Walking around she saw people laughing, talking and it was all colorful. Women wore sarees and salwar kameez. She thought of buying some for her too but then she didn't know where the shopping malls were. She did have a lot of dollars she wanted to exchange but she didn't know where to go. Frustrated and not knowing anything she decided to go back to that nasty place and try to clean it. She will talk to Maan to get her to know things and understand the place and language.

Getting inside the room, she found herself getting pulled and cornered against a wall. She wanted to scream but then a hand covered her mouth and she looked up to see it was Maan.

He was fuming with anger.

She could tell by the frown and his rapid breathing, which felt like he was eating half his anger trying not to kill her. Their face was so close that she could feel his breath on her face. The surrounding around her was so eerily quiet that she could hear his heartbeat.

"Where the hell did you go?" He asked her with menace in his voice, his hand still on her mouth.

Removing his hand from her mouth she said, "What's it matter to you? You just left in the morning, without even saying anything to me. What was I supposed to do? I didn't even know if you were gonna come back to me again." Geet tried to sound as though she really believed he would never come back, though in her heart she knew, and she was right.

"Why would you think like that? Let me remind you I married you, and till the time we are married, I am not going anywhere sweetheart. Plus I was gone for an hour only." He finished by moving in more closely towards her.

"You're quite an honorable person for someone who married a person for money." Geet scoffed.

"Come again. What did you just say?" He thought he heard her wrong.

"You heard me. I know Charles gave you money to marry me, so that he could get rid of me once and for all." Geet pushed him away from her now, she was angry.

Maan could not believe this is what she thought of him. Nobody thought of Maan Singh Khurana like that. Not even his own wife. He was many things, but not a low life. He hurled himself at her with a rage so enormous, that he himself didn't know how to control.

Taking her face in his hand, he kissed her. She tried to push him away. But he did not budge. Maan was angry and he needed to let his frustration out by doing something. Most of the time, he would do some kick boxing and Tai Chi to overcome his stress. Geet was a distraction. And ever since he held her up against the wall, he wanted to kiss her. And it was driving him crazy. This crazy pull he had towards her made him angrier than he ought to be in a situation such as this. So he kissed her. He kissed her with anger and passion and a drive that made him senseless. He could not think, this angel face was going to cause a lot of trouble for him, he knew. She did not respond and he did not stop. He continued till she gave up and parted her lips. He pulled her closer and took all his frustration out on her. He sighed while kissing her. This was only the beginning of the start.
