Party Lawns, Daksh's Mansion

Kabir and Zeenia come running back to the party and see that everything appears normal except Piya. Chaand and Haseena are standing aloof , sipping some champagne and looking at Daksh and his clan that looks fashionable and fierce at the same time. Sambhav is quietly eating some stroganoff chicken at a dinner table as a sexy long legged babe is trying to flirt with him without any success. Arnab and Madhu are trying to mingle with Daksh's mother and his siblings but they clearly look uncomfortable in the presence of the good lookers. Piya is drowning herself in gimlets and desperately trying Abhay's number that is conveniently switched off. Pancchi is dancing with Daksh and laughing as he whispers sweet nothings in her ear adorned with dazzling diamonds. All appears well except Daksh's sullen faced housekeeper Gargi who for some odd reason is rounding up Pancchi from a distance and has an eye-contact with Daksh. She has a black velvet pouch clutched in her hands.

Zeenia ( darting her eyes all over )- Everyone is rolling in dance , drinks , food and those almost naked white dancers, slayer. Where are vampires being slayed? Chaand and Haseena are standing safe wondering why human parties are such a nonsense . Abhay is hatching a master plan to behead all of us in some dark corner of the universe and Abheer must be making out with some hot chick. And'.( puts an arm around Kabir's hip )'.you are over drunk, slayer. There is no Turin in the air and nobody will be slain. Can we please go to Piya now?

Kabir ( jerking her hand away from his hip )- Not funny, witchy-voodoo! Am not drunk at all and '.( looks around sharply again)' something is going to happen right here. Someone is carrying a slayer weapon in this party. I can sense it ' its an involuntary reflex now because my slayer powers are activated.

Zeenia ( flutters her eyelashes at him)- You sound like a machine , sexy slayer.

Kabir ( tagging her along )- Shut up and come with me. We need to warn the Raichands and keep shut about Abhay's fiasco until the party gets over. They both need to get out of this party ASAP.

Kabir and Zeenia begin to walk towards where Raichands are.

Meanwhile, Sambhav is having some wine as the food has stopped interesting him and diverting him. The girl sitting with him and playing less with the spaghetti on her plate and more with Sambhav's sexy grey eyes is boring the hell out of him. Sambhav is looking at the belly dancers ' their beautiful bodies moving like charmed wind to the distinct Arabic tunes. There is a certain harshness to his face ' his jawline a tad cemented and his eyes dark, cold , intense and unbelievably lost.

Girl ( clearing her throat )- Umm, Sambhav , so you were telling me what you do.

Tania ( almost coughing on her lime juice )- Are you freakin' kidding me, Sambhav? Of course you know that am talking about THE TANUSHREE AMBOLKAR. Apparently' (looks at Sambhav's face searchingly )' the most beautiful girl in this town and the showstopper of your college gang? I have seen you all hang out together. Wow, you are drunk ,Sam. You are suddenly behaving as though you don't even know her. Let me remind you'.( playfully)' umm, 5'9 inches tall, hourglass figure , mannequin perfect face , sunburned brown silk threads in the name of hair , proud playful whisky eyes , walks like an Egyptian , used to be a dumb bitch but is a sweetheart these days. As an innocent Tanya recounts Tanushree in playful complimenting words, Tanushree's beautiful loving face swims back into Sambhav's mind . The stunning Bolshva vampire who had almost destroyed him and he had cut her plans midway by destroying the woman in her. Sambhav recalls Tanushree as he had seen her last in that cottage in the forest that rainy night. Before Tania can even comprehend what suddenly went wrong with Sambhav , he is out of her sight and she touches her earrings in confusion.

Tania ( pouting )- Strange . Now, what did my diamonds do to him? How can a man love a woman if he can't love diamonds?... ( shrugs her shoulders and goes back to her spaghetti eating session ) '. Food is less complicated than men these days I tell you.

Back at the Raichand grouping with Kabir and Zeenia , the couple is looking at the witch and the slayer in shock and horror.

Chaand ( taken aback )- Are you sure about this, Kabir? A vampire , one of us, is going to be slain here? In this party?

Haseena( softly )- But Daksh and his family has made no move on us . Abhay and Abheer are not even here. And there are hundreds of people here. Why would the slayers expose themselves along with us?

Kabir ( getting anxious )- I don't know how, uncle, but it is going to happen. Please believe me. You both must leave the party and head back home and' even better , am driving you both back home.

Zeenia looks at Kabir's strained and worried face and is stunned at his concern for an enemy clan. Or maybe it was the human being inside him. He didn't recognize or follow the slayer inside him, anyway. It just made Zeenia feel nice looking at his basic goodness. Maybe she could look beyond Kabir's brawny good looks and appreciate the human being in him. She was a Keeeper , so there were no emotions or feelings ' but she was definitely not programmed to be oblivious to someone's goodness.

Zeenia ( seriously )- We need to get out of here , honestly. Lets not get into logic and reasoning here. You both are in the territory of slayers , so its no time to display how brave we are.

Before Chaand and Haseena can react , Pancchi joins them , all smiling and dazzling. Her entry interrupts the conversation and they all give her confused uncomfortable smiles.

Pancchi ( smiling at Haseena )- Haseena aunty , sorry to interrupt your little gathering ( laughs good naturedly ) ' but I need to take you away from your husband and these kids for a few minutes.

Kabir ( puzzled )- What have you got to do with Mrs.Raichand? I mean , where are you taking her?

Pancchi ( punches Kabir lightly on his shoulder )- Stop interrogating me, Kabir. Am not kidnapping her. I just need to introduce her to a friend of mine who is eager to meet her. She is an architect and wants to design aunty's new studio. That's it.

Chaand ' Oh, I see. Sure. But don't take long , Haseena. We need to leave the party and soon.

Haseena nods and chatting happily , Pancchi takes Haseena away. Kabir watches them disappear in the crowd of designer glittering party clothes.

Kabir ( alarmed )- We shouldn't have let her go.

Chaand ' Pancchi is not a slayer, Kabir.

Kabir ( losing patience )- But she is controlled by a slayer. I don't have good feeling about this!

Kabir goes to follow Pancchi and Haseena while Zeenia sticks by Chaand's side so that he is not left vulnerable to a slayer attack.

Lake, Jungle.

Sambhav comes running to a lake in the jungle , looking disturbed , haunted and ready to explode. He grits his teeth and sits on a rock , holding his head.

Sambhav ( fiercely to himself )- I refuse to feel guilty! About what? She deserved what happened to her and I can do the same thing to her again , without feeling even a trace of guilt! Get over it, Sambhav. She is your enemy and you are going to see her again. Get your nerves back on track! '..( remembers the words of the Pentagon and that garnet clan heirloom that awaits him)'..i did the right thing and I can tell this in Tanushree's face!

Sambhav removes his jacket , takes off his clothes and dives into the water of the placid lake , letting himself drown for a while. It didn't matter what he felt about his shameful act or how much he hated Tanushree. The fact was that she was under his skin now and he couldn't deal with it. Maybe killing her would take her ghost and the ghost of that night away from him. Maybe he should get her here and drown her in this lake. Just finish her and close this chapter. Damn! This needed to end or he would go insane. Sambhav swam back to the surface but didn't come out of the lake. You cannot drown her or kill her, Sambhav , a little voice said inside him. You raped her because you were angry that try hard as you may , you couldn't raise your hands to kill her. Sambhav growled and went back to the bottom of the water bed.
