oldwoman: what do you want?
maan: madam my friend is sick..i need to take her to hospital..plz help me...
oldwoman gave weird looks to maan and closed the door on his face. Maan got angry with her behavior. But he controlled himself for the sake of geet. He came back to geet's flat not knowing what to do. Just then geet mobile rang. Maan looked at geet. Still she was in the same condition. His worries started to increase with each passing second. He decided to answer the call.He took the phone...it was showing...ambika...incoming call...
maan: ambika...naam se indian lagraha hey...shayad mujhe koi help miljaaye
then he answered the call...before he spoke...ambika started talking...
Ambika: geet...how are u buddy...kithne din hogaye na huum baath karke...
maan: hello ?
ambika got shocked when she heard a male voice on phone...
ambika(monologue): yeh geet ke phone pe kaun baath kar raha hey...sunny tho nahi hey...
ambika: excuse me...this is my friend geet's phone isn't it...
maan: haan ji...yeh geet ki phone hi hey...
ambika: aap?
maan hesitated for a second about what to say about his relation with geet...
maan: ji...mein maan..geet ki friend...india se aaya hu...
ambika(monologue): geet ki friend? geet kabhi ladkon se dosthi nahi karthi...yeh bol raha hey ki woh geet ki friend hey? yeah..shayad yeh sunny ka friend hoga...jo india se syndney gaya..research keliye...
ambika: its nice to meet you maan...by the way mein geet se baath karna chathi hu
maan: geet ab baath katne ki halath mein nahi hey...
ambika got scared...
ambika: kyu..kya hua geet ko?
maan: patha nahi...aaj subah se bahuth tej bhukar ho raha hey...aankhe bhi kul nahi paraha hey...mein yaha pe naya hu..aur mujhe kuch samaj nahi aaraha hey ki mein kya karu...kaha unhe ilaaz keliye lejavu...
ambika got worried...
ambika: maan...mein yaha se mere friend ko call karthi hu...woh wahi pe ek doctor hey...i will take appointment...aur aap geet ko leke uss address pe pahunch jayiye...
having said these words ambika cut the call...maan sat near geet held her hand in his and caressed her forehead...After 5 min ambika called again...
ambika: maan..mein ne appointment leliya...aap geet ko le kar St' peter's hospital pahunch jayiye...aur meri friend ki number bhi aapko derahi hu..aapko zaroorath padegi..unka naam hey kathie...
She then gave her friend's mobile number and address of hospital...Maan carefully noted down the details...
maan: thank you very much ambika ji...
ambika: woh mera farz hey..aap hospital pahunchne ke baad mujhe call kijiye...aur geet ki health insurance papers unke cupboard mein honge...aap unko bhi be saath mein leke chaliye...
maan thanked ambika and cut the call...he then took all the papers needed...then he carried geet in his arms and reached the parking lot...he made geet to lie safely in the back seat of the car...he then called kathie and got the complete details of hospital route...he sat in the car prayed to babaji and drove towards St.johns hospital.
Geet got admitted in the hospital. All diagnostic tests were done...maan waited impatiently outside the emergency...After few hours kathie came near maan...on seeing her maan stood up...with each passing second his fears started to increase regarding geet's health
maan: how is geet? is she alright?
kathie...smiled...and said..."don't worry she is fine...its just an infection...may be she got infected while working in lab"
maan sighed in relief and thanked kathie...kathie smiled and left..before leaving she looked at maan and said..."its an air-borne infection...please take care..."
maan could not understand kathie's words ...
maan: take care?...shayad geet ki baare mein bathaya hoga...unki achche se khayal rakhne kheliye...
maan then walked towards the room in which geet was admitted...He slowly opened the door and entered inside. He came near the bed and kept looking at geet. He felt an unknown pain in his heart while looking at geet in that condition...tears rolled down his eyes...he was not sure what was happening to him...what sort of feelings geet has aroused in him...his heart skips a beat when she smiles...his eyes shed tears when she is in pain...what sort of relation is this...;why he was feeling for her when they are actually strangers...not knowing any answer to his questions maan slowly came near geet and sat on the chair beside her...geet temperature came down...
After few hours...
Geet screamed "maa...maa..." and woke up from the sleep...maan who was sitting beside her got startled with her sudden scream...
maan: geet..geet..kya hua?
geet looked at maan with a horrified expression...maan understood that she had a nightmare...maan came near geet...caressed her back..patted her shoulders...saying "kuch nahi geet..bas ek bura sapna tha..."
geet calmed down and became normal...she then looked around and got surprised when she found that she was in hospital...maan made geet to sit comfortably on the bed...
geet: maan..mein yaha kaise?
maan: geet...aaj subah aap behosh hogaye the...tez bhukar se..isliye aapko yaha lana pada...aapko ab kaisa lagraha hey?
geet gently closed her eyes saying that she is feeling better...maan sighed in relief...Just then maan recieved call from ambika...
maan : aap ke friend ki wajah se hi mein aapko yaha la paya..warna patha nayi kya hojatha...aapke tabiyath ko lekar woh kaafi pareshan thi...aap baath kijiye unse...mein abhi todi dher mein aatha hu...
having said these words maan gave geet her mobile and left the room...geet answered the call...
geet: hello...ambika...
ambika: geet...ab kaisa lag raha hey tujhe...mujhe teri chintha ho rahi thi..isliye ithni raath ko phone kiya...
geet: iam feeling better now...anyway thank you very much
ambika: thanks?...geet..tu na kabhi nahi sudheragi...kya zaroorath hey thanks bolne ki?
geet smiled...
ambika: geet..tum achanak chup kyu hogayi?
geet: nahi ambika..bas tumahre baath sunke hasi aayi hey...
ambika: achcha..aaj kal meri geet hasne bhi shuru kardiya...sach batha teri hasne ka reason mein hu yaa woh tera naya indian special friend...
geet: chup kar ambika...bas kuch bhi bol dethi hey...agar tum maan ki baath kar rahi ho..tho woh sach mein hi special hey...kyunki woh dil se bahuth saaf hey...aur maan jaisa insaan ko meri zindagi mein kabhi nahi dekha...
ambika: geet...tumhe ho kya gaya hey...first time mein teri mu se kisi ladke ko tareef karthe hue sun raha hu...ab tho mujhe pakka yakeen hey...kuch tho zaroor chal raha hey tum dono ke beech...
geet: matlab?
ambika: matlab..wahi..pyaar-vyaar..ishq-vishq
geet: shut up ambika...tumhe achche se patha he mein pyaar se sakth nafrath karthi hu...geet ki zindagi mein pyaar na kabhi thi...na kabhi aayega...maan ek achcha insaan hey...mujhe poora yakeen hey ki woh bhi mujhe ek dosth ki tarah samaj raha hey..uss dosthi ko aise naam dekhe hamara iss rishthey ko kharab math kar...
ambika understood that she pulled wrong string...she started to do damage control...
ambika: ok...ok...ab ithna bhi gussa math karo...mein tho mazak karrahai thi...tum apna khayal rakhna...mein tumhe baadh mein call karthi hu...
having said these words ambika cut the call ..and sighed in relief...geet looked at the clock it was showing 4.00am ...geet sighed and went through her diagnostric reports on the table...she got shocked when she read that she was suffering with bacterial infection..she got scared that maan might aquire infection if he stays with her in that room as she was suffering with air-borne bacterial infection...just then maan entered the room...
geet: maan aap na..mujhse door rahiye...mere paas math aayiye...
maan got shocked with geet words...he couldnot understand why geet said those words to him...for a moment he got doubt that whether geet was feeling the same for him as he feels for her...he snapped out of his thoughts...
maan: kya hua geet...kyu mujhe jaane keliye keh rahe ho...
geet: aap pehle yahase jaayiye..aa..p
she then started coughing..with which her words got interrupted...maan then gave a glass of water to geet...geet then turned aside closing her mouth with napkin...
geet: mein ne aapse kaha na...aap yaha se chali jaaye...
as her cough became continuous...she could not speak further...she signalled him to leave that room...maan stood speechless with geet's reaction...he walked slowly outside not knowing why geet behaved strangely with him..he then went to the nurse who is incharge of that ward and told her about geet's condition...nurse rushed to geet's room and gave her some drugs...cough subsided to some extent...maan stood outside the room and watched geet through the glass window...
when nurse was leaving...
geet: plz tell my friend who is standing outside the room to leave from this place...otherwise iam scared he might acquire infection...
nurse smiled and nodded...she came outside where man was standing...when she was about to speak...an emergency case came...where she had to rush...before leaving nurse said.."your friend wants u to leave this place right now..."...in a hurry she didn't tell him the actual part why geet wants him to leave...
maan felt hurt with geet's words...he wanted to be with her badly...but he couldnot understand why she was avoiding him...he came near the door and looked into geet's room..she was sleeping...he was not knowing what to do...with heavy heart he reached geet's flat...but couldnot stay there for a moment also...he was scared of geet's condition...again without wasting a second he reached the hospital...he stood near the door looking at geet...when geet opened her eyes she saw maan standing near the door...she got angry...
geet: kya karu iss ladka ka...kyu nahi smajthe hey meri baath...agar unko infection laggaya tho...
geet signalled him to leave...maan again felt hurt...he want to know why geet doesnot want him to stay with her...but geet was not at all permitting maan to enter the room...maan could not take her cold treatment anymore...he went to the flat took his bag and started to leave...but at that moment he remembered geet and her condition...he sat in the couch not knowing what to do...
maan: kya karu mein..na rukh saktha...naa geet ko iss halath mein chodke jaasaktha...waise kyu woh mujhse milne keliye inkaar kar raha hey...aisa bhi maine kya galath kiya...mujhe jaane ko kehne se pehle..kamsekam...uske narazgi ke kaaran batha sakthi thi na...
maan rubbed his template in frustration...
maan: agar woh chahtha ke mein unse dhoor chali jao...tho teek hey..aisa hi kartha hu...waise bhi mein ne already faisla le chuka tha iss flat se jaane keliye...lekin jaane se pehle unko kamsekam thanks bolke jaatha hu...iske bahane ek baar unhe dekne ko milega...
After taking this decision maan took his bag...locked the flat and reached the hospital...by the time he reached the hospital it was nearly 6 am
he then entered geet's room slowly...he saw her sleeping...for last time he looked at geet and strarted to leave from that room...just then geet woke up and looked at maan...
geet: maan?
maan turned back and saw geet looking at him...
maan: geet...iam sorry...aapne mana karne ki baadh bi yaha aaya...ab dubara aisa nahi hoga...yeh mera wada hey...
having said these words maan quickly walked to the door...at that moment geet saw maan holding his bag...geet got confused...
geet: maan...aap bag ko lekar kaha jaa rahe hey...
maan stopped and turned back...
maan: woh...mein jaa raha hu...
geet sat on the bed...and asked with a worried expression..."kaha?"
maan: patha nahi...
geet: patha nahi...matlab?
maan: matlab..mein bhi nahi jaantha ki mujhe kaha jaana hey...bas jaa raha hu...
geet: aisa bhi aapko kya problem aaya jo aap mujhe chodke jaane ki baath kar rahe hey...kya aapko mere saath rehne se ithna problem ho raha hey?koi taqleef diya hey kya mein ne aapko
this time it was maan's turn to get confused...he was shocked with geet's words..he couldnot understand what she actually wants him to do...he stood silent thinking about geet's bahavior towards him...
geet couldnot digest the fact that maan is leaving her...she got down from the bed...as she was weak ...she couldnot stand..when she was about to fall..maan came near her to give support...but geet stopped him in the middle...hold the bed for support and told him to be away from her remembering about her infection ...maan got angry this time...
maan: geet..yeh kya hey...ek taraf aap bolthe hey ki..mujhse dhoor chale jao...mere paas math aao...aur doosri taraf jab mein jaa raha ahu...aap mujhe pooch rahe hey ki..mein kyu jaa raha hu...ek baath saaf saaf kehdijiye...aap kyu mujhe dhoor rehne keliye keh rahe ehy..aisa bhi mein ne kya kardiya...kyu kehrahe hey aap mujhe yaha se jaane keliye...
geet got shocked with maan's words...maan turned aside controlling his anger...
geet: maan...aap isliye mujhe chod ke jaa raha hey? kyunki meine apko dhur rehne keliye kaha?
maan nodded...geet then started smiling..her smile turned into laugh...maan looked at geet confused...
geet: oh maan...aap bhi naa...
maan looked at geet in anger...this caused geet to laugh more...
maan: geet..aapko mazak lagraha hey
geet: aur nahi tho kya...mein aapko dur rehne keliye isliye kaha thaki aapko koi infection naa lagjayi meri wajah se
maan: infection?
geet: haan maan..mujhe air-borne infection hey..agar mere aas paas raha tho aapko bhi easily transmit hojayega...isliye mein ne kahatha aapko mujhse dhur rehne keliye...until my infection subsides...
maan looked at geet with his eyes widened...
maan: per uss din nurse bhi...
geet: haan..haan..mein nehi kaha tha..nurse se...lekin ab mujhe lagraha hey ki woh sirf aadi baath hi bathaya hoga aapko
hearing those words maan too smiled and said..."tho aap naraz nahi hey mujh per"
geet: maan...mein..naraz..aap per...chance hi nahi..mein chah kar bhi aap per naraz nahi ho saktha...
that word hit maan's heart...his heart skipped a beat...
geet: tho aap jaayiye bag wapas flat mein lagake aayiye...
maan: nahi geet...mein kithne din aap pe bhoj ban kar rahunga...mujhe bhi apne liye ghar doondna hi padega na...
geet: oye hello..yeh kya bade bade baath kar rahe hey aap...bhoj voj vagaira..vagaira...dekhiye meri baath dhyan se sunlijiye...aapko ghar doondne ka koi zaroorath nahi hey..kyunki..ab se aap meri saath hi meri flat mein reh rahe hey...woh bhi guest ki tarah nahi...ek partner ki tarah...aaj se uss flat ko hum dono share karenge...
maan: aapke flat mein...woh bhi partner ban ke...
geet: kyu meri falt ithna bura hey kya?
maan: nahi...lekin mere paas ithna paisa ab nahi hey taaki mein rent pay karsaku...
geet: maan..aap rent ke baath ab keliye chodiye..jab aap job mein join karthe hey na..uss din dekhlenge...
maan: phir bhi..mein aur aap ek saath...aap ko koi problem hoga na...
geet : maan..ab bas bohuth hogaya...bahana banana chodiye...u r going to stay with me...that's it...no more arguments regarding this...samjhe aap...
although his heart was jumping with joy...he was about worried how to control his feelings for geet...
