😛hello everyone😊...finally i am up with the update...thanks for ur support again. new thread and hopefully the update is fine as well...now read on...

chapter 28:

maan drove home wondering why she hadn;t shown up. well atleast there was no letter either. then it strikes him, where was the letter. if she doesnt meet me, she has to have delivered a letter but where is it??? he stops near the lake and decides to take a stroll. he wanted to think and solve this mystery, it was becoming more and more tangled and he dint like it much. he was scratching his head and was resting on a bench, wondering. the place seemed deserted only for a few old ppl here and there, walking. then he started using his brain. maan's self thought " since she dint show up, where could the letter be?? how will i know that she dint come? i dont even recognise her...may be she'll post the letter??? or may be she has kept it in po box 39??? but she never said anything abt it. she had just mentioned that he'll know his next task when they meet, well we never met so what am i supposed to assume?". he was like hell disturbed and one hour all he did was trying to figure logic of his situation. it was almost 9am when he thought of getting back home. disappoinment clearly showed on his face. he drove back home. when he arrived, both daadi and daadu was sipping coffee and chatting. they called ou to maan but he seemed too lost to hear them. he just walked to his
room. vikram turned to savithri,

VSK: yeh maan ko kya hua??? itne udaas kyun lag rahe hain???
SD(equally confused): yeh tho hum bhi nahin jaanthe hai. patha nahin kya pareshaani hai??? iss waqt unhe akela chodna hi behthar hoga. thodi der aaraam karenge tho sab teek ho jayega.
VSK: hmmm as u say savithri but i hope maan wont be sad like this again. he seemed so lost.

savithri devi just nodded. this time even she was confused as to why maan was sad??? she decided to talk to him after lunch. right now, he needed time for himself. she asked nakul to take the breakfast to his room.maan was standing near the window when nakul walked into his room with his breakfast. maan turned after nakul's footsteps made him aware that someone was in his room.

nakul: maan baba, daadi ne naashta bejha hai, khaalijiye!
maan: tum usse table pe rakhdo, main khalunga.
nakul: teek hai maan baba

nakul keeps it on the table. maan was abt to turn towards the window when nakul called him,

nakul: maan baba, main aapse kuch poochun???
maan: haan, poochon nakul, kya baath hai???
nakul: aap pareshaan kyun ho??? aap shaayad, daadi aur daadu ko batha na paaye par aap mujhe tho batha sakthe hai, kuch nahin tho, aapki mann ka bhoj halka ho jayega.
maan: nakul...
nakul(interrupting): aap nahin bathaana chahthe hai tho koi baath nahin maan baba, woh main aapko pareshaan nahin dekh saktha issliye pucha.
maan(understanding his concern but lying): kuch nahin nakul, woh business main kuch problem ho gayi.
nakul(nodding his head for a no): maan baba, aap naahin jhoot bardaasht kar sakthe na jhoot bol sakthe hai, aap rehne do, jhoot tho aapko bolna nahin aatha.

maan looked at nakul in surprise wonderig hw he came to know that he was lying??? nakul just smiled st him and left. maan was looking in the direction he went for a while. he decided to ask him abt it later. he had other things to deal abt, more important things.

AT NOON:

maan came down the stairs much more calm and realaxed. he had come to the conclusion not to waste time on it unncessarily. when daadi and daadu saw calm
and fine, they felt happy. they decided not to ask him abt iy until he revealed it himself. they had their lunch peacefully discussing abt random things. maan fekt relaxed. what would he do without them? he thought and smiled.

night 11.30:

prem was pacing around his room unable to sleep. from yesterday night, neither he has been able to sleep peacefully nor concentraate on his work. he cursed his heart under hs breathe which loved heer sooo much. last night when he came back home, he had rushed right upto his room without heeding to his parents jassi and mohinder sinha's call.

he was more than disturbed after knowing as to whom heer loved. he had got the shock of his life. he felt like GOD has snatched away his reason to live. he dint know what to do, he felt like the doors were closed. little did he realise that all closed doors were not locked. the problem was he never made up his mind to try the doors. no wonder he felt trapped. he was all the willf trying to figure a way to escape the pain that now enveloped his life. for a moment he felt like dying but he had responsibilities on his shoulders. that was probably the only thing that stopped him from taking his own life.

he was lost in his thoughts when his phone started ringing. he was too involved in his thoughts that he dint feel like looking into it. he dint even see as who was calling him at this hour? it stopped and he again was thinking abt yesterday night. the phone again started ringing, this time also he ignored but when it started ringing again he picked up his phone irritated. he recieved it without even trying to know as to who was calling him.

prem: hello?
person:What the hell were you doing prem? what took you so much time?
prem: heer? why are you calling at this hour of the night?
heer:Were your sleeping?
prem:Huh...ah...well...uh...yes, why?
heer: prem if you dont know how to lie then dont even try coz you are very bad liar!

prem doesnt speak but leaves out a sigh.

heer:So what were you doing?
prem:Does it matter now?
heer: actually no...
prem: then just come to the point heer, i'm feeling sleepy.
heer: hmmm well i am in my car right outside ur house.
prem(Shocked by her words, yelled into the phone):Whaaat?
heer: prem stop yelling, will you? my ears are hurting.
prem: huh! what the hell are you doing outside my home at midnight?
heer:What's ur problem with it? do you own this road or something?
prem: heer bakwaas band karo.
heer: why should i stop my nonsense? you're the one trying to act smart.
prem: heer you should be at ur home sleeping at this time.
heer:Well i wasn't sleepy so i came over to meet you.
prem:You came over to meet me? at midnight???
heer: so what's the big deal in it???
prem: heer, u r impossible
heer: i know. now ill u come down or not???
prem: no i cant...
heer: WHAAAT???
prem: heer stop yelling, my ear is hurting.
heer: copy cat...
prem: whatever...
heer: so u r not coming???
prem: no i am not, i'm very sleepy. lets meet up tomo morning.
heer: if u dont come down now, i'll make sure we never meet again.

prem was trying to avoid her but the threatening words of heer scared him. with a half heart he decided to go down. before he could reply, heer had cut the call. he rushed out of his room and out of the room like lightning. heer stood there grinning at him. prem was sulking at her but more than that it was hurting him to see her.

at KM:

maan was feeling restless. he couldnt sleep. he felt like sleep was singing a song very far away from him. he was sitting on his bed with his hands folded. he finally decided to take stroll in the garden but then felt a long drive would be better. he took his car keys and tip toed outside his room like a cat watching his way and looking around to make no one caught him sneeking out at this hour. he dint want to wake anyone either. he descended down the steps all the while being alert, he was in the middle of the hall when he heard footsteps behind him. he slowly turned back only to see nakul walking towards him, maan felt like he was caught and his heart beat doubled. he tried to reason out,

maan: nakul woh main...

before maan could complete, nakul walked passed him and turned right. maan stood rooted trying figure out what had just happened. after a minute he realised that nakul was sleep walking. he put his hands on his heart and heaved a sigh of relief. he thought "aaj tho tu bach gaya maan". without thinking much he left the house and walked towards his car. before getting inside he made sure that nobody was aware of him. he got inside the car, started it and put the gear to reverse. he turned back to take the reverse when his eye caught something on the back seat. he took the envolope and the parcel in his hands. he switched off the car and switched onned the car's inside light. it was the same white and red envelope just the way he liked it with a medium sized parcel. a satisfied smiled settled on his face.
