There was a long silence that followed. Neither one of them knew what to say. It felt as though their heartbeats became one...making the dhak dhak sound even louder! Maan could hear her breathing...very softly. He closed his eyes with a sweet smile trying to not let this moment disappear. Geet was nervously playing with her curls...she wanted to talk to him but how she wondered. Finally someone had to break the ice...

Maan innocently asked...Kaun?

She cleared her throat Hi..mein..

Maan didn't want to know why she called. All he knew was she called! As always this was Maan...he wanted to tease her a little. He knew she was tensed seeing him and Arjun behave like that. He needed to lighten up the mood for her! Just for her!

Maan--Sorry mujhe koi credit card nahi chaiye

Geet--Kya? OYE! Mein koi credit card wali nahi ho!

Maan--Toh phir kaun hai aap? Ek din mein ithna calls...

Geet--Oh hello don't flatter yourself ok...I know you know

Maan was just loving this. He knew she would lose her temper but he couldn't help it! He loved seeing Geet irritated. He laughed to himself wondering how this night will go on...

Maan--You know that I know that you know that I know?

Geet--WHAT? Stop confusing me!

Maan--I'm not confusing you, you're confusing me. Mujhe koi credit card nahi chaiye

Geet--Maan! She said with an irritated tone.

Maan--Jabhi mera naam lethi hai...aisa kyun lagta hai ki ousne mujhe abhi abhi chowah?

Maan--Oh my god! Number ke saath saath mera naam bhi janthey hoon? Agar date pe jana chathi ho toh kehdo...

Geet--Date aur tumharey saath? Sapna dekhna bandh kardo

Maan--Toh phir phone kyun kiya...jo bhi hai aapka naam

Geet--I thought we should talk after what happened today lai kin lagta hai tumhey koi phark nahi partha! She disconnected the call

Maan changed into another t-shirt and sat comfortably on his bed. He dialled the number but she didn't pick up. Now he was irritated! There was 10 missed calls on Geet's screen. She giggled and finally picked up

Maan--Why the hell weren't you picking up?

Geet--You're the one who didn't want to talk to this credit card wali

They both laughed. This time there wasn't room for any silence.

Geet--Pata hai jab mein ne tumhe pehle baar mila tha...I really hated you

Maan--Same here

Geet--You hated me? She laughed You were trying to make a move on me just like all the other girls

Maan--What? That's not true

Geet--Then why did you follow me and Vicky to Domino's?

Maan--I didn't follow you guys...I was with Sasha...On our date!

Geet recalled Arjun's words... So many guys would die to just sit near her in class lai kin Maan...he never looked at Sasha that way She blushed a little. Maan smiled...he sensed she was blushing

Geet--Oh really? On a date? Ok then tell me...what was Sasha wearing on your so called date?

Maan--Umm

Geet--What did she order? What color was her purse? Kuch toh bhathao!

Maan rehne do! I know you don't remember a thing

He blurted out...I remember what you were wearing...

Words weren't able to form. Geet dipped her head under the pillow and Maan gently brushed his hair back. The silence did not proceed further...Geet got another call.

Maan zaara hold karna please, I have another call

Hmm...He was getting restless, it seemed like hours had gone by. He wanted to hear she voice again...He felt like screaming her name until she would finally reply. He took a deep breath and waited patiently

Nahi nahi aur bhath karna hai toh karlo Geet giggled realizing he was frustrated

Vaise is waqt kaun phone kiya tumhe? He got very curious to know who would call Geet 1 o'clock in the morning? Maybe it's a family member...lai kin is waqt? His heart almost stopped thinking that it might be a guy. Is it???
