It was usual morning, Maan got ready for his office... He walk downstairs and saw geet sitting with his family, having breakfast and chit chatting...she can easily win peoples heart. He makes his way near them... geet saw him and smile... "Arey Maan aap' aaye Na" Maan kissed her mom forehead. "No mom I'm going" he start going but was stopped by geet. "Maan' do you have some important work now?" Maan frowned. "Why?"' She stood up and walk toward him. "Woh... I need to go to hospital for a work' will you please drop me." .... "Ok' come fast... I'm waiting in car..." he said in his usual self to avoid any question from his family... Geet immediately went to Annie's room, grab her bag and ran to the car... She sits in a passenger seat and turn toward Maan. As her started the car, she put her hand on his. "Wait"' he looked at her. "I don't want to go to hospital."... "Then where?"' She looks forward... "My flat" he watches her confusingly but smile soon'..."Ohh... so someone wants to spend time with me... you should have told early Na." he said leaning forward her. She put her hand on his chest. "Maan' stop' and let's go..." he smiles and nodded and started the car.

They reached the flat. She guides her to her bedroom. "Let's make coffee" he start going out but geet hold him. "No Maan... sit here...I need to talk to you." There was seriousness in her voice which made him worried. He walks toward her, hold her by shoulder. "Is everything ok mishti?" she only nodded and make him sit in bed and sat beside him holding his hand. "I... I want to tell you about my family"... Maan look at her and smile putting his hand on her cheek. "So finally you decided Han... fine tell me..."

"I was born in hosiyarpur, my dad was from Delhi but he loved mom so much that he lived in hosiyarpur for her'... I was 8 years old when mom died due to cancer...I cried a lot, but dad always console me, he was the best dad ever, my best friend'. He was only my friend, my guardian and support. He loved me a lot... we both live alone only with each other's love. Everyone in village didn't approve my study, but dad always supported me. I never had any friend, he was the only friend and family I had..." Maan squeezed her hand seeing her eyes having tears. "I was 14 years old when dad brought his second wife and her son home. I was very angry with him. But he told me he married them just for some formality. He told me that if he wouldn't have married them then they would have died. I agree with dad. I can never disobey him, but I never talked to them, I always make distance from them... one day I was passing the kitchen when I heard their voice, I went near and I heard them talking to each other. I was shocked to hear them, they wanted to kill me because all dad and mom property were on my name. I immediately ran to dad and told him but he didn't believe me... he thought I was saying that because I don't like them...one day they want a picnic and suggested to go to beach. I knew why they were saying that so I denied but dad forced me... we were on beach when suddenly brijj, my step brother, hold my hand firmly and forced me to go inside the water, I refused but he start dragging me deep inside. I was hell scared and started screaming for help to dad. Dad become alert, he shouts for brij to stop but he wasn't. He knew me and dad didn't know swimming... I saw dad approaching me, brijj took me deeper and dip my head in water. Dad also came to help me. The moment he put me out I start to catch breath. When I was breathing normally brij told me to see my dad' I saw him dipping in water. I screamed for dad. He was deep inside the water. I tried approaching him but I was not able to... brij and her mother only watch us. I was so helpless, it was the worst moment for me to see dad slowly losing his breath. I shout for him to come out but he didn't I tried to run but brij was holding me tight' then I saw dad go inside the water. He took his last breath in front of me. Everything shattered; I lost my everything in front of me. They killed him but I couldn't do anything Maan." She starts crying hard. He took her in his embrace and hug her tightly... she cried bitterly letting all her pain come out holding him tightly. He rubs her back to calm her down'.. "Bus mishti"... he himself was unable to speak. It was the first time he saw her so broken down...

When she becomes little calm down she again started to talk keeping her head in his chest. "After dad died they always tortured me to sign the property papers, they wanted me to give my entire dad's and moms property to them. But I denied them. They used to lock me in a dark room and beat me cruelly; they lock me for many days without giving me food, water or anything. I really couldn't see anything in that darkness, I only felt pain in it... two months passed they tortured me a lot but I never agreed. One day when they forgot to lock that dark room. I tiptoed outside, grab money from my room and I escaped from there and run as far away as I could. It took me three days to reach to stations. I booked Delhi ticket and came here. But they came here also for that property. When they tried to reach me I file a case against them... now they are unable to touch me... still there will be someone waiting for me outside my flat, they always wait for me to be alone, that's the reason I never go outside my flat alone.. And I am not working in sanjeevni for permanent basis"

She finished talking and finally looks at him, he was silent all the while. She put her hand on his cheek and turns his face toward her. "Are you angry with me?" he looked at her for a moment digesting the truth which came in front of him. He hugs her tightly. "How can I be angry with you mishti" he said softly kissing her head. "Why are you so quiet?" '...He strokes her cheek softly. "Do you think I will behave normally after listening so much... your gone through so much pain and it's too much for me" ... She sits straight and looks at him. "There's one more thing"... she waited for his response but he didn't say anything."Maan... due to these entire incidents... I'm kind of scared with deep water and pitch dark...I could feel all the pain and incident going in front of me...its make me go out of control... so I take sleeping pills to avoid the pain." he just look at her in worried expression for some time and then suddenly bring her in his lap hugging her tightly'. She could feel his rapid heartbeat. He was scared. Maan Singh khurana was scared today. They just remained close to each other to sooth the pain, to remove the pain'.
