I'm really really sorry everyone..I know I'm quite irregular,right from the start :P But this week,my schedules have been horribly hectic,and plus there's my birthday coming up,so I've to prepare everything for the party..And Homework! They're Making me go crazzy ! I can't even reply individually this time..Sorry! LOVE you all! Hesistantly,he looked at her,and fixing his gaze on the emrald-green eyes he yearned to see,He asked,"Why are you here?",very softly. His eyes held no anger..And it startled her.He'd changed so much.There was no longer the boyish,impatient,angry Armaan..She felt a pang of guilt and pain envelop her,the same pain which was probably killing him in his heart.Armaan was more calm and composed now..And only looked pale.
"Why,Riddhima?",he asked again. He knew that no matter what,even if they both loved and yearned for each other..They couldn't be together.He would never let her take a desicion she'd regret all her life.She didn't answer. Silently she played with her fingers,fighting her tears back. After a long pause,she finally looked up at him.
"Don't we both know the answer,Armaan?",she whispered,putting her head down again.
He passed a weak smile to her,"Thats not the answer to my question,Riddhima."
"Some Questions..",she quietly said,"Are better left unanswered..Because.."
"Because?"
There was silence in the room again.It was defeaning,and it made Riddhima more broken than ever as she wiped the tears from her eyes hurriedly and tried to smile. She wanted to see him happy,atleast for these two days..The pain,the loss,she wanted him and herself to forget everything for a while.So she held Armaan hand with her trembling fingers and smiled up at him,saying,"Forget it na Armaan..Tell me,How have you been?You work here,right? I-"
She cut off,getting no response from him.He was looking down at their hands interwined together,and she knew what she was feeling,he felt the same. A jolt of happiness ran through her,and she softly continued,"Its great to see you here..Its been so long..I-I've missed you." Saying this,she looked up at him, and she was startled. He was looking fixedly at her hand,and his expression explained so many things- Pain,Loss,Guilt and Mostly,Sadness.She watched him closely as he picked her hand up to his face for a closer look,as if he was trying to make himself believe what his eyes witnessed.
Riddhima gasped as she realized what he was looking at. Covering her sniff with the free hand,she wanted to say something,but it stopped her when he whispered,looking stunned at the thing,"You're..Engaged.."
