Part 4
Armaan woke up early the next morning knowing very well he had to get ready for his first day at Sanjeevni. He looked at the time and figured his angel would be waking up soon. He looked over at his bag and realized he still hadn't given her the stuffed animals and chocolate he had brought for her. He smiled and took the things out and tip toed to her room to surprise her before freshening up.
He was confused hearing the sound of her laughter coming from her room. He was walked in and was shocked seeing Riya laughing and giggling away on the phone. Then he hears her say, "okay byebye rima...ri lubs you..." Riya then handed the phone to Anaya, who said a quick bye and hung up.
Armaan stood in the doorway shocked and confused. He used to be the first to wake up and wish Riya a good morning! He didnt mind, but he was confused as to why they were so attached. He could understand Riya enjoying the attention and wanting a friend, especially because she lacked a mother figure in her life. But why was Riddhima so attached to Riya? Riya was a small two year old girl and Riddhima was much older. She must have friends her own age, so why?
Armaan's thoughts were interrupted as he heard, "goo moling papa"
He walked over and picked riya up kissing her cheek. "Good morning Ri. Hm papa has a surprise for you. yaad hain i promised you a gift when I come back? ye lo!" Armaan pulled out a teddy bear and some chocolates and gave it to her. Riya kissed his cheek and said, "tank you papa!"
Riya, the usually selfish child, then shocked him by asking, "papa, can ri shale wif rima? rima choco boohh pasand too" Armaan was shocked, "hmm toh tum riddhima ki saath share karna chate ho? i am sure she has her own chocolates too" Riya then shook her head and said, "no papa rima always shale wif riya" Armaan laughed at Riya's slightly irritated face. He never thought his daughter would ever be irritated for not being allowed to share something. Laughing, he said of course she can as they are her chocolates.
Armaan then gave Riya to Anaya to freshen up, then headed over to his bathroom to get ready.

Armaan walked through the Sanjeevni doors smiling and wondering what his day will be like. He looked at his watch, he had about 5 minutes until time to report to Dr. Keerti. He went over to the locker room and found the locker assigned to him. He placed his jacket and things in there and went over to the nurses station. As he was walking out of the nurses station, a girl dressed in a selwar suit ran past him, causing her duppata to carress his face. Armaan cloesed his eyes taking in the lovely fragnance. Unfourtunately it happened so fast he didnt even realize what had just happened. He went over to the nurses station and was shocked once again.
He spotted Riya dear friend Riddhima, dressed in a blue selwar suit. She was jumping up and down trying to catch a taller friendly looking man. Armaan laughed at her childness. She was slapping his arms while he was laughing.
Just then two girls and a guy walked up to them. They laughed and asked, "hm ab kya hua?"
Riddhima then turned to them and pouted. "Dekho na, I was in the childrens ward, checking the kids aur he was hiding under a bed. Aur phir he jumped out and scared me! Phir he started teasing me ki dekho dekho ek baacha dusre baache ko treat karti hain!" The others started laughing at her. Armaan too found himself laughing. Then suddenly everyone seemed to notice his presence.
Riddhima was the first to acknowledge him, "Hey! Armaan kaise ho? When did you come? I didn't even notice you!" Armaan smiled, "I'm good, aur tab aaya jab you were attacking him!" Riddhima laughed then said, "Armaan this is Dr. Anjali, Dr. Atul, Dr. Muskaan, and this is our senior Dr. Shubhankar, guys this is Armaan, the new Doctor joining us" Armaan laughed realizing riddhima was arguing with her senior so freely. Anjali seemed to have read his thoughts, "Don't over think yourself. Actually Shubankar sir is just friendly and like that. But not all senior doctors are. For example, Dr. Keerti our in-charge is a total hitler! But a caring one." Subhankar then made a face! "hey! you are making fun of my wife in front of me?"
Riddhima hugged Shubankar and smiled saying, "aww sooo sorry sir, par she is a total gabbar!" Shubhankar smiled and said, "haan par sirf my gabbar! dil ka boora nahin hain! she's really sweet really!" Riddhima smiled and agreed.
Soon Dr. Keerti came and introduced Armaan as the new cardiologist. She told him that Dr. Shub - was a neurologist, Dr. Anjali - Cancer specialist, Dr. Muskaan - Gynecologist, Dr. Atul - Aids specialist, and Dr. Riddhima - childrens specialist, while Dr Keerti was a gynecologist as well.

Riddhima was showing Armaan around, when suddenly she tripped. She closed her eyes anticipating her fall, but was confused when it never came.
Armaan caught Riddhima in his arms just as she was falling. He watched her slowly open her eyes. Relief seemed to flood through her face as she realized she had not fallen. Armaan found himself getting lost in her beautiful almond shaped green eyes. When he realized he was staring at her, he suddenly dropped her, much to her irritation.
"Armaan! tumne mujhe gira diya kyun?" Armaan smirked saying, "i caught you, i dropped you. meri marzi!" He smirked walking away.
Riddhima was so irritated she marched back up to him and tapped his shoulder making him turn. After he turned, she stomped on his foot and marched away.
Throughout the day, they found themselves constantly bickering with each other.

Riddhima pulled her duppata away from Armaan and went to her locker. It had been a long day! She was so tired she just wanted to take a long bath and relax. Then suddenly Armaan's cellphone rang. She watched his face brighten up as he saw who the caller was.
"Hey baby! kaise ho angel?...hmm nahin beta papa abhi bhi kaam pe hain. lekin bohot jaldi ghar aajaunga!" Riddhima then got excited realizing it was riya. "armaan? is it riya? can i talk to her pleaseeee??"
Armaan laughed as he watched riddhima get all excited and jump up and down wanting to talk to his daughter. laughing he told riya someone wants to talk to her. He then gave the phone to riddhima who began talking to riya enthusiastically. She started asking Riya about her day and they began talking about that. She then explained that she couldnt see her tonight as she was so tired from work that she would just go home and sleep. She told Riya she had been awake all night working at the hospital.
Then Armaan realized that Riddhima must be exhausted! The way she had been bickering back with him, he hadn't even realized she had worked a double shift! He didn't even mention it to him, but there she was telling his two year old daughter! It was then that he realized he spent his first day at work bickering and teasing her! He didn't even make an effort to make friends at all! He had been so distracted! He made a mental note of getting friendly with everyone tomorrow. He smiled as he realized riddhima and riya had their back and forth arguement of who loves who more.
