Part 1
Armaan Malik was hanging out in the mall with his friends Atul Joshi, Rahul Garewal and Abhimanyu Modi.
"Yo, dude!" Abhi whined. "Let's get KFC or something man! I'm fully starving right now!"
"Dude," Rahul said. "You're always starving. Tell me one time of the day when you're not starving!"
"When he's dreaming of Nikki!" Atul and Armaan said and broke into a laugh. Rahul joined in with them.
"Very funny, you losers!" Abhi said and walked off. The other three followed behind.
"OK, seriously. I'm actually surprised she's not with you'and it's a Friday night! Don't you two always go out on Fridays?" Armaan asked.
"No'just sometimes'" Abhi answered.
"Yeah, OK, so that 'sometimes' should definitely include last week- " Armaan said.
"The week before that." Atul interrupted in between.
"The week before last ' last week," Rahul claimed.
"And almost every Friday of every week since like'" Armaan said when he was interrupted by Abhi.
"Since grade 9!" Abhi said. "So what?! I didn't feel like going out with her tonight!"
"YOU didn't feel like going out with her or SHE wanted to chill with her friends?" Rahul asked. Armaan and Atul giggled.
"I hate each and every one of you!" Abhi said.
"Give her a call." Armaan suggested.
"And check where she is." Rahul said.
"And surprise her." Atul said.
"And then end up having her trying to murder me when I 'disturb' her and her friends?" Abhi asked. He paused for a minute. "Not a bad idea. What better way to begin our last weekend in Canada?" He took out his cell phone and speed-dialled her number.
"Put it on speaker," Armaan said mischieviously. Abhi put on the speaker and they waited for Nikkita Malhotra to pick up her cell.
After three rings she picked up. "Abhi, I told you to not disturb me then why'd you call me?!" Nikki's annoyed voice came in through the phone. The boys heard the laughter of a few girls in the background.
"Nikki darling-" Abhi began.
"Shut up and don't talk to me!" She said and switched off the call. Abhi sighed.
"Kia baat hai, Abhi. Phone lagatay hi rejection!" Rahul smirked.
"You know what? I'm going to figure out where she is." Abhi said looking ready for battle. He called again. After a moment, he spoke. "Nikki, before you say anything, answer this question: Where are you?"
"On earth!" She spoke giggling.
"Nikki! I'm asking you where you are! Now tell me where you are!" Abhi spoke trying to stifle his giggle. The rest of the boys howled in laughter.
"OH GOD, ABHI! I'm at Yorkdale Mall. Happy? Ab main jaaoun?" She turned off her phone.
"Good. We're here too. Coincidence, eh?"
"Let's hunt her down!" Rahul said.
"Haan, tumhe toh sirf Muskaan ko hunt down karna hai na, iss liye keh rahe ho." Armaan said. Abhi, Atul and Armaan burst into laughter. Rahul narrowed his eyes.
"If you're done with your constant annoying-ness, then can we go?" Rahul said.
"Let's go." Armaan said leading the way and still laughing.

"Yo Muski, call Ridz, check where she is!" Anjali Gupta said to her best friend Muskaan Chaddha.
"My phone's dead. You call, Anjie." Muskaan said. Anjali took out her phone from her purse and called.
"Hello?" She spoke. Muskaan grabbed Anjali's phone from her hand and put it on speaker.
"Oye! Ms. Riddhima Gupta! Where are you?!" She scolded.
"I'm in the mall. I just stopped at a shop to get this amazing top!" Riddhima said.
"You stopped at A shop or A FEW shops?" Anjali asked putting emphasis on the 's' is shops.
"Ok fine. So I stopped at Burberry to get five dresses. Then I stopped at Esprit to get a pair of jeans. Then I stopped at Victoria's Secret to get a new dress for tonight. That is all!" Riddhima defended herself.
"Get at the food court rite now madam!" Nikki said.
"Kay! Kay! I'm coming!" She hung up.
"This girl cannot LIVE without shopping!" Anjali said.
"Face it. She's BORN a shopaholic!" Muskaan said.
"One of a kind." Nikki said.

Rahul pulled Abhi's collar from behind. "Oye! Look! There's Muskaan."
Abhi looked at Muskaan then his eyes went straight to Nikki who sat wearing a pair of jeans and a peach top laughing at something. He looked back at Rahul. "Tu Muskaan ko ghoor ghoor ke dekh. I'm going to Nikki." He strode off.
"Wait! I'm coming!" Rahul said.
"I call the seat beside Anjali!" Atul said. All three guys ran over to the girls dodging the tables and people walking around with their food trays.
Armaan smiled at the three couples sitting together and having a blast. He thought of Anjali's cousin, Riddhima Gupta. Anjali had said she studied at a different university but always hangs out with Nikki, Muskaan and her. From what the girls had told him, she seemed to be very interesting.
"Ridzy's coming over the weekend because her flight to India is with the rest of us so you can meet her." Anjali had said when Armaan had asked if he will ever get to see with his own eyes who this supposedly great cousin of Anjie's was.
"Hmm...Ms. Riddhima Gupta. Where are you? Aap ka toh besabri se intezaar ho raha hai!" Armaan said to himself. He turned around and bumped into someone. He heard her gasp and held her tightly around the waist.
The girl had her eyes tightly shut. Her soft pink lips were quivering in fear of falling. Armaan stared at her tender face.
"So beautiful," he thought.
The girl's black, silky hair was so long that it touched the ground. Her skin was milky white. She wore silver earrings and a silver charm bracelet matching her short grey dress which looked like:
She opened her tightly shut emerald green eyes and lost herself in a pair of the most beautiful ocean blue eyes. She felt his grip tighten around her tiny waist. Her heart pounded against her chest as she took in his features. Her hands were around his neck. She gulped and tore her eyes away from him.
"God, he's so hot!" She thought to herself.
Her heart skipped a beat. Realizing the position, Armaan looked away and helped her stand up properly. He turned around and left but not before leaving her dazzled with his cute, dimpled smile. She shook off his thoughts, picked up her ten bags of shopping, and walked over to Nikki, Muskaan and Anjali.
"Hi guys!" She said.
"Ridzy! Hey! What's up?!" Muskaan said shifting a bit to make space for Riddhima. Riddhima sat and was introduced to Rahul, Atul and Abhi. After so many long talks of the girls talking about their boyfriends, Riddhima finally got a chance to meet them.
"And what about the Armaan guy you guys talk about?" She asked.
"Yeah Abhi, where's Armaan?"
"I don't know. He was behind us'" Abhi looked around the food court.
"There he is." Rahul pointed. Riddhima looked to where he was pointing and saw a figure far away. Rahul waved his hand around to get Armaan's attention. Armaan noticed and came over. Riddhima's and Armaan's mouth fell open when they saw each other.
"Him?!" Riddhima asked.
"Is that'Riddhima?!" Armaan asked. They pointed at each other.
"You guys know each other?" Atul asked.
"No, I mean, we just met." Armaan said not looking away from Riddhima.
"He actually kind of saved me from falling." Riddhima said getting red in the cheeks as she remembered her moment with Armaan a couple of minutes ago. Anjali raised an eyebrow as she saw Armaan and Riddhima looking at each other. She noticed Riddhima's deep red blush and smirked thinking something had happened between these two.
"Toh uhh'.tum dono ke beech kia hua tha?" Anjali asked. Armaan sat down opposite Riddhima and answered.
"Yaar Anjie, kuch nahin. Yeh mere peeche thi and I turned and bumped into her. That's all."
"Really?" She asked. "Toh phir Riddhima, tu kyun laal laal ho rahi hai."
"Laal?" Riddhima asked. "Psshttt..I'm not red! I'm perfectly fine and normal." She said but her eyes gave away everything.
"You guys, let's get something to eat!" Abhi whined. Abhi and Nikki went to Subway. Atul and Anjali went to KFC and Muskaan and Rahul walked away fighting over New York Fries and Villa Medina. Armaan and Riddhima were left alone as they had ordered their food with Abhi and Nikki. Armaan and Riddhima sat in silence staring at each other lost.
'Are you an angel sent to me from above or just another girl?' Armaan thought to himself.
'You just have to be a greek god sent to me from heaven," Riddhima thought to herself.
Armaan snapped out from the trance and asked Riddhima, "So, how's your'uhh'family?"
"Anjali's family is my only family." Riddhima replied. "I mean, I live up in northern Ontario only because of Med school. My parents died four years ago. My aunt and uncle, Anjie's parents, have been supporting me ever since their death."
"Oh!" Armaan said. "I'm sorry to hear that."
"Don't be." Riddhima said. "I had a step-mom and all my dad did was run after her. No one cared for me. Today, I've become what I am thanks to myself. And Anjie's family. And, I know it sounds really mean, but I'm glad they're gone." Armaan was shocked. He had never heard of someone hating their parents. "How's your family?"
"They're all in India." Armaan answered. "I'm going to be with them in India. It's only my parents there. I don't have siblings."
"Welcome to my world of no siblings!" Riddhima smiled. Armaan smiled with her.
"Something about her'" Armaan thought.
"Bye Muski! Bye Nikki!" Riddhima and Anjali called out as they dropped Muskaan and Nikki at their building. Nikki and Muskaan lived in the same apartment.
"So Ridz," Anjali said as they headed for her home. "What do you think of Armaan?"
"Anjie," Riddhima said in a serious tone. "I'm going to be totally honest about this."
"Uhuh?" Anjali asked.
"We totally clicked!" Anjali laughed at Riddhima's confession.
"Haan woh toh dikh hi raha tha!" Anjali teased Riddhima.
"What do you mean?"
Anjali stopped the car at the red signal and faced Riddhima. "Riddhima, you really think none of us noticed your blush and Armaan's constant stares at you?"
"I wasn't blushing."
"Yes you were."
"No I wasn't."
"Yes you were!"
"No I wasn't and the signal's green so start driving!"

"Armaan!" Rahul screamed.
"What?!" Armaan yelled back.
"You almost ran over that lady!" Rahul yelled.
"What? What lady?" Armaan looked properly.
"She's on the sidewalk now, thankfully, if I hadn't screamed and made you stop the car!" Armaan made a face at Rahul and continued to drive much less carefully.
"Kis ke khayaalon mein gum hai?" Rahul asked.
"What?" Armaan wondered.
"Hmmm''.Kis ka hai yeh tumko intezaar RIDDHIMA hai na'" Atul sang.
"What the hell! Where'd Riddhima come from?!"
"Moosonee," Abhi answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"What?" Armaan asked.
"Did you forget the Ontario map or something?! Moosonee! In Northern Ontario! You genius!" Rahul said.
"Oh right. Moosonee'." Armaan said and went into his own world of puzzled thoughts about his meeting with Riddhima today. The boys lived in the same building as Muskaan and Nikki and they were soon in the four-bedroom apartment they shared.

It was two in the night but Riddhima just couldn't sleep. She kept tossing and turning on her bed. She just couldn't forget those deep blue eyes. The way his hands had held her waist. His dimples were so cute and adorable.
Sighing, she stepped out of bed and tiptoed down the stairs to the kitchen. She opened the freezer and took out some chocolate ice-cream. Whenever Riddhima felt sleepless, she always ate some ice-cream. She scooped the ice-cream into a big bowl and switched on the TV in the living room.
Finding nothing to watch as she surfed through the channels, she went back upstairs to her room after washing her bowl and spoon. She took out her shopping bags and looked at all that she had bought today. There was no denying it'Riddhima Gupta was a BORN SHOPAHOLIC.
Anjali walked into Riddhima room. "Hey," she said sitting on Riddhima's bed. "Kia kar rahi ho?"
"Just looking at the stuff." Riddhima replied.
"You're not sleepy?"
"No."
"Same here." Anjali said looking at Riddhima's clothes.
"Maine apni packing karli hai. Tujhe madad karoon?"
"Yes! I have the suitcases but I need to pack these things in them too." Riddhima exclaimed.
"Chal phir packing shuru karte hain." Anjali said as she brought Riddhima's suitcase from the corner. She opened it up on the bed and the two girls started packing the stuff.
